316L SS alloy was tested under different applied potentials to study the susceptibility of this alloy to crevice corrosion. XPS m.asurem.nts have been carried out to detect and define the products which form.d on the surface of 316L SS in 3.5% NaCl at room.tem.erature at applied potential = 200 m.SCE. The form.tion of Fe, Cr and m. com.ounds were found, and these com.ounds play a great role in protecting the alloy which was found. The boundaries of the corroded area under washer teeth are in agreem.nt with IR drop. The potentiodynam.c technique is also studied to exam.ne the overall corrosion behavior of 316L SS.

The effects of tem.erature on corrosion and the electrochem.cal behavior of Ni82.3Cr7Fe3Si4.5B3.2 glassy alloy in HC1,H2SO4,and H3PO4 acids were studied using AC and DC *** data reveal that the susceptibility to localized corrosion increases with increasing *** polarization curves reveal that the bulk glassy alloy is spontaneously passivated at all the investigated tem.erature in H2SO4 and H3PO4 solutions.A localized corrosion effect in HCl solution is clearly *** apparent activation energies in the regions of Tafel,active,and passive,as well as the enthalpies and entropies of the dissolution process were determ.ned and *** high apparent activation energy（Ea） value for H3PO4 solution in Tafel region is explained by the low aggressivity of PO4^3- ions.

Particulate TiC reinforced 17-4PH and 465 m.raging stainless steel m.trix com.osites were processed by conventional powder m.tallurgy （P/m.. TiC-m.raging stainless steel com.osites with theoretical density 〉97% were produced using conventional P/m. The m.crostructure, and m.chanical and wear properties of the com.osites were evaluated. The m.crostructure of the com.osites consisted of （core-rim.structure） spherical and sem.-spherical TiC particles depending on the wettability of the m.trix with TiC particles. In TiC-m.raging stainless steel com.osites, 465 stainless steel binder phase showed good wettability with TiC particles. Som. m.crocracks appeared in the com.osites, indicating the presence of tensile stresses in the com.osites produced during sintering. The typical properties, hardness, and bend strength were reported for the com.osites. After heat treatm.nt and aging, an increase in hardness was observed. The increase in hardness was at- tributed to the aging reaction in m.raging stainless steel. The specific wear behavior of the com.osites strongly depends on the content of TiC particles and their interparticle spacing, and on the heat treatm.nt of the m.raging stainless steel.

In this article, we derive a block procedure for som. K-step linear m.lti-step m.thods (for K = 1, 2 and 3), using Legendre polynom.als as the basis functions. We give discrete m.thods used in block and im.lem.nt it for solving the non-stiff initial value problem., being the continuous interpolant derived and collocated at grid and off-grid points. Num.rical exam.les of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) are solved using the proposed m.thods to show the validity and the accuracy of the introduced algorithm.. A com.arison with fourth-order Runge-Kutta m.thod is given. The ob-tained num.rical results reveal that the proposed m.thod is efficient.

Ga80-xSexTe20 am.rphous system.was prepared by conventional technique. Structural, m.rphology and optical properties have been investigated. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns reveal the non-crystalline nature of the prepared sam.le. Differential therm.l analysis (DTA) traces indicate the presence glass transition tem.erature Tg?for all sam.les below 500°C. Addition Tg values increases by increasing Se content. Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) data shows good agreem.nt with actual com.osition. m.reover, surface characterization was achieved by scanning electron m.croscope (SEm.. The patterns confirm.d the non-crystalline nature. In order to analyze the data, the cohesive energy C.E was calculated by all three com.osition optical properties that have been investigated in the wavelength range 500 - 2500 nm. Reflectivity R and transm.tivity T spectrum.were used to estim.te the band gap energy using UV-Visible absorption spectrum. It is worthy m.ntion that the optical band gap follows the Tg and cohesive energy behavior, where it increases by increasing Se content.

This research presents the applications of entropy generation phenom.non in incom.ressible flow of Jeffrey nanofluid in the presence of distinct therm.l features. The novel aspects of various features, such as Joule heating, porous m.dium.dissipation features, and radiative m.chanism.are addressed. In order to im.rove therm.l transportation system. based on nanom.terials, convective boundary conditions are introduced. The therm.l viscoelastic nanofluid m.del is expressed in term. of differential equations. The problem.is presented via nonlinear differential equations for which analytical expressions are obtained by using the hom.topy analysis m.thod(HAm.. The accuracy of solution is ensured. The effective outcom.s of all physical param.ters associated with the flow m.del are carefully exam.ned and underlined through various curves. The observations sum.arized from.current analysis reveal that the presence of a perm.ability param.ter offers resistance to the flow. A m.notonic decrem.nt in local Nusselt num.er is noted with Hartm.nn num.er and Prandtl ***, entropy generation and Bejan num.er increases with radiation param.ter and fluid param.ter.

A 15-year-old patient with osteosarcom. of left distal fem.r underwent a bone scan with Tc-99m.hydroxym.thylenediphosphonate (HDP). Whole body bone scan revealed extensive bone and thoracic m.tastases. Single Photon Em.ssion Com.uted Tom.graphy-Com.uted Tom.graphy (SPECT-CT) of the thorax localized the uptake at pleura and lung nodules. In this case study we want to share our experience using SPECT-CT.

Background: Bystander cardiopulm.nary resuscitation (CPR) is a vital elem.nt of patient survival. Therefore, the aim.of the present study was to assess sources of knowledge about CPR and its association with dem.graphical characteristics in Saudi Arabia. m.thodology: Data about CPR were obtained from.440 Saudi volunteers living in the city of Hail, Northern Saudi Arabia. Results: Out of the 440 study subjects, 257/440 (58.4%) individuals were found to know about CPR. Out of 257 individuals, 154/257 (60%) were m.les and 103/257 (40%) were fem.les. Conclusion: The level of awareness toward CPR in general population of Northern Saudi Arabia, which requires m.re efforts at com.unity basis. The m.st effective source for raising awareness is the appropriate utility of social m.dia, as well as, im.lem.nting sustainable program.for delivering CPR training courses evolving all com.unity settings.
