Endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle biopsy(EUS-FNB)is an excellent investigation to diagnose pancreatic lesions and has shown high accuracy for its use in pathologic ***,macroscopic on-site evaluation(MOSE)performed by an endoscopist was introduced as an alternative to rapid on-site cytologic evaluation to increase the diagnostic yield of *** MOSE of the biopsy can estimate the adequacy of the sample directly by the macroscopic evaluation of the core tissue obtained from *** pancreatic tuberculosis is extremely rare and difficult to diagnose because of its non-specific signs and ***,this challenging diagnosis is based on endoscopy,imaging,and the bacteriological and histological examination of tissue *** uncommon presentation of tuberculosis can be revealed as pancreatic mass mimicking ***-FNB can be very useful in providing a valuable histopathological diagnosis.A calcified lesion with a cheesy core in MOSE must be suggestive of tuberculosis,leading to the request of the GeneXpert,which can detect Mycobacterium tuberculosis deoxyribonucleic acid and resistance to rifampicin.A decent diagnostic strategy is crucial to prevent unnecessary surgical resection and to supply conservative management with antitubercular therapy.

Increased chemical reactivity of single-walled carbon nanotubes on oxide substrates： In situ imaging and effect of electron and laser irradiations

We studied the oxygen etching of individual single-walled carbon nanotubes on silicon oxide substrates using atomic force microscopy and high-temperature environmental scanning electron microscopy. Our in situ observations show that carbon nanotubes are not progressively etched from their ends, as frequently assumed, but disappear segment by segment. Atomic force microscopy, before and after oxidation, reveals that the oxidation of carbon nanotubes on substrates proceeds through a local cutting that is followed by a rapid etching of the disconnected nanotube segment. Unexpectedly, semiconducting nanotubes appear more reactive under these conditions than metallic ones. We also show that exposure to electron and laser beams locally increases the chemical reactivity of carbon nanotubes on such substrates. These results are rationalized by considering the effect of substrate-trapped charges on the nanotube density of states close to the Fermi level, which is impacted by the substrate type and the exposure to electron and laser beams.

Assessing sediment yield in Kalaya gauged watershed(Northern Morocco)using GIS and SWAT model

An efficient design for erosion-control structures of any watershed in the world is entrusted with the delicate forecasting of sediment *** outlook yields are usually inferred by extrapolations from past *** runoff,as the transporting vehicle,is more closely correlated with sediment yields than any other ***,calibration as well as validation of process-based hydrological models are two major processes while estimating the sediment yield in *** actual survey is fulfilled with the aim of developing a trustworthy hydrologic model simulating stream flow discharge and sediment concentration with least uncertainty among the parameters picked out for calibration so as to verify the effect of the scenarios on the spatial distribution of sediment yield(sediments transported from sub-basins to the main channel during the step of time).Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT,version 2012)model integrated with Geographic Information System(GIS,version 10.1)was used to simulate the stream flow and sediment concentration of Kalaya catchment situated in north of Morocco for the period from 1971 to *** calibration and validation were performed for monthly time periods using Sequential Uncertainty Fitting 2(SUFI-2,version 2)within SWAT-CUP using 16 *** calibration outputs for monthly simulation for the period from 1976 to 1984 showed a good model performance for flow rates with NSE and PBIAS values of 0.76 and11.80,respectively;also a good model performance for sediment concentration with NSE and PBIAS values of 0.69 and 7.12,***,during validation period(1985–1993)for monthly time step,the NSE and PBIAS values were 0.67 and14.44,respectively for flow rates and these statistical values were 0.70 and 15.51,respectively for sediment concentration;which also means a good model performance for *** calibration,the inclusive effect of each parameter used was ranked using global sensitivity function

Experimental studies and artificial neural network modeling of surface tension of aqueous sodium L-prolinate solutions and piperazine blends

The surface tension study is very crucial for the design of CO2 gas absorption contacting equipment. The significance of the surface tension has been increasing due to its consideration in various technological fields. This property influences the mass transfer and hydrodynamics of gas absorption systems, mainly multiphase systems, in which the interface between gas and liquid exists. Therefore, in this study, surface tension of aqueous solutions of sodium L-prolinate(SP) and piperazine(PZ) blends were measured at ten different temperatures from(298.15 to 343.15) K. The SP mass fractions were 0.10, 0.20, and 0.30;while the mass fractions of PZ were 0.02 and 0.05. The experimental results showed that the surface tension increase with increasing the mass fractions of SP and PZ in aqueous blends, and decrease linearly with rising temperature. The experimental data of surface tension were correlated by two empirical correlations as a function of temperature and mass fractions for estimating the predicted data using the optimized correlation coefficients. Moreover, the modeling of surface tension data was carried out using Artificial Neural Network(ANN) approach. The results obtianed from ANN modeling were compared with applied empirical correlation. It was found that the ANN approach outperformed the empirical correlation used in this study. Besides, a quantitative analysis of variation(ANOVA) was performed in order to determine the significance of data. The surface tension of aqueous SP and SP + PZ was also compared with various conventional solvents.

Development of date seed extract encapsulated MCM-41:Characterization,release kinetics,antioxidant and antibacterial studies

The encapsulation of natural bioactive compounds in porous support can lead to a sustained release of antioxidants and antimicrobial *** this study,the natural antioxidant of date seed extract(DSE)was encapsulated into the mesoporous silica matrix(MCM-41)through the physical vacuum impregnation *** characterization studies confirmed the successful encapsulation of DSE into MCM-41 with an encapsulation efficiency of 91%.Date seed extract encapsulated MCM-41(DSE@MCM-41)exhibited rougher morphology,lower specific surface area(1.2 m^(2)g^(-1)),and lower pore volume(0.023 g cm^(-3))than MCM-41,indicating higher loading of DSE into the MCM-41 pore *** in vitro release profile and bioactive DSE@MCM-41 release kinetics were determined using phosphate buffer solution at pH 5.2 and *** showed that DSE release from DSE@MCM-41 followed first-order kinetics with a sustained release rate,preferably in an acidic *** results of radical scavenging activity also showed that the release of antioxidants from DSE@MCM-41 was more sustained than that of free DSE when stored at 4℃ for 3 ***,antibacterial studies of DSE@MCM-41 against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus showed a significant and sustained bactericidal effect at a concentration of 10 mg/*** results suggest that DSE-encapsulated MCM-41 could be used as a sustainable-release nanocarrier to extend the shelf-life of food in food packaging applications.

Binding Energy, Root Mean Square Radius and Magnetic Dipole Moment of the Triton Nucleus

The basis functions of the translation invariant shell model are used to construct the ground state nuclear wave functions of 3H. The used residual two-body interactions consist of central, tensor, spin orbit and quadratic spin orbit terms with Gaussian radial dependence. The parameters of these interactions are so chosen in such a way that they represent the long-range attraction and the short-range repulsion of the nucleon-nucleon interactions. These parameters are so chosen to reproduce good agreement between the calculated values of the binding energy, the root mean-square radius, the D-state probability, the magnetic dipole moment and the electric quadrupole moment of the deuteron nucleus. The variation method is then used to calculate the binding energy of triton by varying the oscillator parameter which exists in the nuclear wave function. The obtained nuclear wave functions are then used to calculate the root mean-square radius and the magnetic dipole moment of the triton.
