In this study electrochemical performance of Al and some of its alloys （Al-Zn, Al-rvlg and Al-rvln） anodes vs MnO2 cathode were carried out in alkaline solution. The results show that the Al-Zn alloy anode has the best cell capacity among the other alloys. Cell capacity values go in the order Al-Zn〉Al-Mg〉Al〉Al-Mn. This result is probably related to the nature of passive films formed on the surface of the alloys which examined by scanning electron microscopy （SEM）. SEM morphologies of Al and its alloys showed coarse grains of passive films formed on the surface of these anode materials while Al-Mn morphology shows a needle-like structure. Electrolytic manganese dioxide （EMD） produced by electrodepositing on platinum anode from liquor resulting from reduction of low grade pyrolusite ore （β-MnO2） by sulfur slag was characterized as cathode in alkaline Zn-MnO2 batteries. Ore produced sample （EMD1） was performed well in comparison with EMD standard （EMD2）（commercial battery grade electrolytic manganese dioxide, TOSOH-Hellas GH-S）. SEM morphology of Zn anode after cell reaction was carried out and showed that Zn anode has fine grains of passive film on its surface.

This paper describes a new model for obtaining analytical solutions of peristaltic flow through eccentric annuli. A mathematical model of peristaltic pumping of a fluid mixture (as blood model) in a circular eccentric cylinders is presented and it is motivated due to the fact that thread injection is a promising method for placing medical implants within the human body with minimum surgical trauma. For the eccentric annuli, the inner cylinder is rigid and moving with a constant velocity V, and the outer one is hollow flexible cylinder that has a sinusoidal wave traveling down its wall. The coupled differential equations for both the fluid and the particle phases have been solved by using two methods and the expressions for the velocity distribution of fluid and particle phase, flow rate, pressure drop, friction forces at the inner and outer cylinders have been derived. The results obtained are discussed in brief. The significance of the particle concentration and the eccentricity parameter as well as the nature of the basic flow has been well explained.

In this study,the mathematical expression formulated by Bohr for the moment of inertia of even-even nuclei based on the hydrodynamical model is *** modification pertains to the kinetic energy of the surface oscillations,including the second and third terms of the R-expansion as well as the first term,which had already been modified by ***,this work can be considered a continuation and support of Bohr's hydrodynamic *** procedure yields a Bohr formula to be multiplied by a factor that depends on the deformation ***'s(modified)formula is examined by applying it on axially symmetric even-even nuclei with atomic masses ranging between 150 and 190 as well as on some triaxial symmetry *** this paper,the modification of Bohr's formula is discussed,including information about the stability of this modification and the second and third terms of the R-expansion in Bohr's *** results of the calculation are compared with the experimental data and Bohr's results recorded *** results obtained are in good agreement with experimental data,with a ratio of approximately 0.7,and are better than those of the unmodified ones.

The laser fusion criterion is known as the ρR-Criterion, also called high-gain condition. This parameter is temperature dependent and can be calculated by R-matrix method. This method is applied for determining improved fusion cross-section for the reactions T(d,n)4He, 3He(d,p)4He, D(d,p)T, D(d,n)3He. In this paper the time dependent reaction rate equations for fusion reaction T(d,n)4He are solved and by using the obtained results we computed the fu- sion power density, energy gain versus temperature and ρR-parameter. The obtained results show that a suitable com- bination may be a deuterium fraction fD=0.65 and fT=0.35 which would lead 30% reduction in the tritium content of the fuel mixture, and this choice would not change the energy gain value very much. Finally, the obtained energy gain for D-T reaction by using R-matrix is in good agreement with other theories.

A symmetry-preserving continuum approach to the two valence-body bound-state problem is used to calculate the valence,glue and sea distributions within the pion;unifying them with,inter alia,electromagnetic pion elastic and transition form *** analysis reveals the following momentum fractions at the scale ζ2:=2GeV:〈xvalence〉=0.48(3),〈xglue〉=0.41(2),〈xsea〉=0.11(2);and despite hardening induced by the emergent phenomenon of dynamical chiral symmetry breaking,the valence-quark distribution function,q^π(x),exhibits the x≈1 behaviour predicted by quantum chromodynamics(QCD).After evolution to ζ=5.2 GeV,the prediction for q^π(x)matches that obtained using lattice-regularised *** confluence should both stimulate improved analyses of existing data and aid in planning efforts to obtain new data on the pion distribution functions.

Diffuse and spark discharges are formed and studied during breakdowns with nonuniform electric field in nitrogen,air,and argon at elevated pressures and pulse repetition frequency of 400 ***-polarity voltage pulses of the amplitude 20 kV,width at the base of 15 ns and rise time of 2 ns are applied to the electrode with a small radius of *** the conditions of generation of runaway electron beams and X-rays,a CCD camera records the time of the diffuse discharge formation and its duration prior to its transition to a spark *** all three gases,the diffuse discharge is formed during the time not exceeding 1 ns,when the bright spots appear on cathode in argon and air resulting in the beginning of the spark channel propagation.

A thin film of blended poly-N-epoxypropylcarbazole（PEPC）（25 wt.%）,nickel phthalocyanine（NiPc）（50 wt.%） and ZnO nano-powder（25 wt.%） in benzene（5 wt.%） was spin-coated on a glass substrate with silver electrodes to produce a surface-type Ag/PEPC/NiPc/ZnO/Ag capacitive and resistive *** with two different PEPC/NiPc/ZnO film thicknesses（330 and 400 nm） were fabricated and *** effects of humidity on capacitance and resistance of the Ag/PEPC/NiPc/ZnO/Ag sensors were investigated at two frequencies of the applied voltage：120 Hz and 1 *** was observed that at 120 Hz under humidity of up to 95%RH the capacitance of the sensors increased by 540 times and resistance decreased by 450 times with respect to humidity conditions of 50%RH. It was found that the sensor with a thinner semiconducting film（330 nm） was more sensitive than the sensor with a thicker film（400 nm）.The sensitivity was improved when the sensor was used at a lower frequency as compared with a high *** is assumed that the humidity response of the sensors is associated with absorption of water vapors and doping of water molecules in the semiconductor blend *** had been proven by simulation of the capacitance-humidity relationship.

A thin organic film of p-type semiconducting copper phthalocynanine (CuPc) was deposited by vacuum evaporation on an n-type GaAs single-crystal semiconductor substrate. The fabricated Ag/p-CuPc/n-GaAs/Ag sensor was carried through an ageing process to stabilize the parameters. Voltage-current characteristics and photoelectrical response of the sensor were investigated at a wide temperature range of 82 to 350 K. Photoelectric characteristics were measured under non-modulated filament-lamp illumination. It was observed that such sensor parameters as rectification ratio,threshold voltage,junction,shunt and series resistances,open-circuit voltage and short circuit current are temperature-dependent. It was found that wide-range voltage-current characteristics of the sensor may be de-scribed similarly to that of a Schottky barrier diode. Using the experimental data on voltage-current characteristics and absorbance of the CuPc films,the energy-band diagram of the p-CuPc/n-GaAs heterojunction was developed. It was shown that data obtained from simulation of an equivalent circuit of photoelectric sensor agreed with experimental results.

The study shall look to the group of generators SU(4). From these generators, a new group spin operator will be constructed. We will classify these groups into right handed groups and left handed groups. These two groups will satisfy all the properties of Pauli spin operators Sx, Sy and Sz with respect to the frame xyz. The analysis shows that the number of groups spin operators depends on the order of the group. This leads us to construct the theorem which defines the number of the groups spin operators. The analysis also leads to two kinds of frames: left handed frame (LHF) and right handed frame (RHF). The right handed operators will act on the RHF, and left hand operators act on the LHF. The study shall discuss the notion of spin squeezing for pure spin 3/2 system by using our new frames and new spin operators. It will show that our calculation is equivalent to the calculation by using Pauli spin operators.

A series of Cu-doped La-Ni intermetallic compounds(LaN5-xCux, x = 0-4) was studied. The bulk structure and surface composition of the samples were detected before and after they were used as catalyst for nitrobenzene hydrogennation. The catalytic properties of the intermetallic compounds depend on the surface region composition, especially on the valence of the metal ions.
