OBJECTIVE Acidosis-induced[Ca] transients emerged in heart ischemia is an old ***,three mechanisms are involved in the Ca transients in cardiomyocytes:*** activation of Na/H exchanger and then the secondary stimulation of Na/Ca exchanger;*** release from intracellular Ca stores;*** opening of the Ca-permeable membrane ion *** the above ways are well studied,the concrete mechanisms for acidosis-induced Ca elevation in cardiomyo-cytes are largely *** this study,we will try to identify the expression of the sensors of protons,including acid sensing ion channels(ASICs),vanilloid-1-transient potential receptor(TRPV1) and proton sensing G protein coupled receptors in cardiomyocytes, and explore the possibilities of these sensors to mediate the acidosis-induced[Ca] elevation in ventricular cardiomyocytes. METHODS RT-PCR,western blotting,immunofluorescence and Ca *** *** sensors of protons ASICs,TRPV1 and proton sensing G protein were first identified in in vitro and in vivo *** application of extracellular solutions (pH5.0) markedly elevated[Ca] in primary cardiomyocytes with the value ofΔF/F 2.64±*** protons-induced [Ca] elevation was significantly inhibited by both the non-specific inhibitor(amiloride,300μmol·L) and the specific inhibitor of ASICs(PcTx1,10 nmol·L).The inhibitory ratio was 50.07±5.70%and 53.51±3.31%,*** inhibitor of TRPV1(ruthenium red,10μmol·L) also blunted the elevation of[Ca] with the down-regulated ratio of 56.16±6.22%.Interestingly, the down-regulated ratio increased to 82.61±4.18%after amiloride and ruthenium red *** Ca was depleted,robust elevation of[Ca] still could be *** elevation of[Ca] in the absence of extracellular Ca was almost totally abolished by TG,the inhibitor of SR ATPase that can exhaust the Ca content in SR Ca *** inhibitory ratio was 90. 59±1.46%.5.2-APB(200μmol·L) and U73122(3μmol·L),both were regarded as the

Microstructure modification by La_2O_3 and its effect on wear resistance properties of as-cast ZL107 alloy

Modification of ZL107 aluminum alloy has been successfully achieved by using La2O3. The different casting parameters, including casting temperature as well as holding time and modifier content, were carried out to investigate the modification effects. The results show that the best modifier content is 1.0 wt.%, and the casting temperature has little effect. In addition, the wear behavior of modified and unmodified ZL 107 has been compared. The wear resistance of as-cast ZL 107 aluminum alloy can be significantly improved after modification.

Estimation to the turbulent kinetic energy dissipation rate and bottom shear stress in the tidal bottom boundary layer of the Yellow Sea

High frequency velocity fluctuations were measured by using an acoustic Doppler velocimeter (ADV) in the tidal bottom boundary layer (BBL) of the Yellow Sea (YS) for 25 h. The turbulent kinetic energy dissipation rate and the bottom shear stress were estimated and analyzed. Results show that: (1) in the tidal BBL of the YS, the variations of the dissipation rate and the bottom shear stress during 25 hare (1.8×10-8-3.4×10 -5) W·kg-1 and (6.6×10-4-7.5×10-1) N·m - 2 respectively, indicating that there are strong dissipations in the tidal BBL of the YS; (2) in the well-mixed tidal BBL, the turbulence is mainly shear-induced locally and the production and dissipation are generally in equilibrium; (3) for the seas where the semidiurnal tidal current is dominant, both the dissipation rate and the bottom shear stress exhibit a strong quarter-diurnal variation; (4) the mean bottom drag coefficient Cd (0.45) is 0.0017 (corresponding Cd( 1.00) = 0.0015), but it has significant variations (0.0005-0.0082). The mean bottom roughness length is 2.8×10-5 m.

Effects of Current Frequency on the Microstructure and Wear Resistance of Ceramic Coatings Embedded with SiC Nano-particles Produced by Micro-arc Oxidation on AZ91D Magnesium Alloy

To improve the surface wear resistance of the ceramic coating fabricated by micro-arc oxidation （MAO） on AZ91D magnesium alloy,ceramic coatings embedded with SiC nano-particles at different current frequency （500 Hz,700 Hz,and 900 Hz） were produced during the MAO *** morphology and phase composition of the coatings were investigated by scanning electron microscopy （SEM）,field emission scanning electron microscopy （FESEM）,and X-ray diffraction （XRD）.The surface roughness of the coatings was characterized by confocal laser scanning microscopy （CLSM）.Simultaneously,the tribological properties of the composite coatings were evaluated by using a universal materials tester （UMT）.The results shows that the wear resistance of the ceramic coatings with SiC nano-particles was improved significantly compared to the ceramic coatings without SiC ***,the composite coating formed at current frequency 900 Hz showed the better wear resistance than the others.

Main Controls on Hydrocarbon Accumulation in the Paleozoic in Central Saudi Arabia

Sandi Arabia is renown for its rich oil and gas Mesozoic. However, the discovery of Paleozoic fields in resources with the bulk of the reserves reservo/red in the the late 1980s has encouraged further exploration in the Paleozoic. This paper reviews the salient features of the Paleozoic petroleum geology in central Saudi Arabia and discusses the main factors controlling hydrocarbon accumulation in the Paleozoic. The Lower Silurian Qusaiba hot shale is the principal source rock for the hydrocarbons discovered in the Ordovician to Permian reservoirs. Of them, the Permo- Carboniferous Unayzah and Upper Ordovician Sarah Formations have the best exploration potential. The key factors controlling hydrocarbon accumulation in the Unayzah Formation are migration pathways and reservoir petrophysics. The key factors controlling hydrocarbon accumulation in the Sarah Formation are reservoir petrophysics and the development of structural traps.

The discrete material, which belongs to the category of soft materials, is one of the most prevalent forms of matter in nature and engineering fields. These materials often exhibit abundant and complex mechanical properties which are still far from being perfectly understood. From the view of multi-scale framework concentrated on the ＇bridge＇ role in the macro-micro relation, this review mainly introduces some theoretical investigations of mechanical behaviors in discrete materials, including the continuum constitutive model based on the macroscopic phenomenological approach and coupled micro-macro approach, the statistical analysis of some microscopic physical quantities involved contacted forces between particles and its transmission within the whole system, and the statistical analysis for some microscopic processes in aeolian landform systems involving the grain-bed impact, the transportation and sedimentation of wind-blown sand flux, et al. Finally, some further worthwhile challenges in these fields are suggested.

Probing the hydration of composite cement pastes containing fly ash and silica fume by proton NMR spin-lattice relaxation

Proton NMR spin-lattice relaxation (T1) was used as a prober for observing the hydration process of composite cement pastes blending fly ash and silica fume during the early *** distribution at initial time,evolution curves and signals intensity of T1 were shown in this *** demonstrate that the T1 distribution curves at initial time exhibit two peaks,which are regarded as two different water phases in the *** evolution curves of T1 are in good agreement with the hydration process of composite pastes and could be roughly divided into four stages:initial period,dormant period,acceleration period and steady *** hydration mechanism for each stage was *** hydration of the composite cement pastes was retarded by the addition of fly ash and silica fume when compared to that of pure ***,the hydration degree of the cement in the blends was promoted.
