A new genus of Asiatic short-tailed shrew (Soricidae, Eulipotyphla) based on molecular and morphological comparisons

Blarinellini is a tribe of soricine shrews comprised of nine fossil genera and one extant genus. Blarinelline shrews were once widely distributed throughout Eurasia and North America, though only members of the Asiatic short-tailed shrew genus Blarinella currently persist （mostly in southwestern China and adjacent areas）. Only three forms of Blarinella have been recognized as either species or subspecies However, recent molecular studies indicated a strikingly deep divergence within the genus, implying the existence of a distinct genus-level lineage. We sequenced the complete mitochondrial genomes and one nuclear gene of three Asiatic short-tailed and two North American shrews and analyzed them morphometrically and morphologically. Our molecular analyses revealed that specimens ascribed to B. griselda formed two deeply diverged lineages, one a close relative to B. quadraticauda, whereas the other--comprised of topotype specimens from southern Gansu-iverged from other Blarinella in the middle Miocene （ca. 18.2 million years ago （Ma）, 95% confidence interval=13.4-23.6 Ma）. Although the skulls were similarly shaped in both lineages, we observed several diagnostic characteristics, including the shape of the upper p4. In consideration of the molecular and morphological evidence, we recognize B. griselda as the sole species of a new genus, namely, Pantherina gen. nov. Interestingly, some characteristics of Pantherina griselda are more similar to fossil genera, suggesting it represents an evolutionarily more primitive form than *** of this new genus sheds light on the systematics and evolutionary history of the tribe Blarinellini throughout Eurasia and North America.

NEW VIEW ABOUT BAINITIC TRANSFORMATION IN STEEL

The bainitic transformation was analyzed according to the factors such as morphology, crystallography, mechanical property of bainite and transformation kinetics. It was found that the bainitic transformation is controlled by displacive mechanism and self-tempering of displacive microstructure, i.e. bainite is the product of such procedure during which undercooled austenite first transforms into one certain displacive microstructure by displacive mechanism and then this microstructure experiences self-tempering. With this idea, several questions that can not be illustrated only by displacive transformation mechanism can be explained successfully.

Quantification and pharmacokinetic study of tumor-targeting agent MHI148-clorgyline amide in mouse plasma using liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry

A high-performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometric （HPLC- ESI-MS/MS） method was developed for the quantification of MHl148-clorgyline amide （NMl-amide）, a novel tumor-targeting monoamine oxidase A inhibitor, in mouse plasma. The method was validated in terms of sensitivity, precision, accuracy, recovery and stability and then applied to a pharmacokinetic study of NMl-amide in mice following intravenous administration. NMl-amide together with the internal standard （IS）, MHI-148, was extracted by protein precipitation using acetonitrile. Multiple reaction monitoring was used for quantification of NMl-amide by detecting m/z transition of 491.2-361.9, and 685.3-258.2 for NMl-amide and the IS, respectively. The lower limit of quantification （LLOQ） of the HPLC- MS/MS method for NMl-amide was 0.005 μg/mL and the linear calibration curve was acquired with R2〉 0.99 in the concentration range of 0.005-2μg/mL. The intra- and inter-day precisions of the assay were assessed by percentage of the coefficient of variations, which was within 9.8% at LLOQ and 14.0% for other quality control samples, whereas the mean accuracy ranged from 86.8% to 113.2%. The samples were stable under storage and experimental conditions. This method was successfully applied to a pharmacokinetic study in mice following intravenous administration of 5 mg/kg NMl-amide.

Rural E-commerce and County Economic Development in China

With the proliferation of information and communication technology in rural areas,rural e-commerce has gradually become a new economic phenomenon in China. Usingthe national rural e-commerce comprehensive demonstration policy as a quasi-naturalexperiment, this study examines the causal linkage between rural e-commerce andcounty-level economic development in China. Its findings, which draw on county-levelpanel data from 2011 to 2018, indicate that the policy had a positive effect on the countyleveleconomy in China, resulting in an overall increase in county GDP by 3.5 percent(0.7 percent annually). Our analysis further shows that the impact of the policy diferedalong the region and human capital dimensions. Further analysis reveals that industrialstructure and nonagricultural employment were the main channels for the policy toexert a county-level economic impact. Infrastructure improvement in China also playsan important role. The findings emphasize the importance of advancing e-commerce inrural areas to stimulate county-level economic development.

Mechanisms of eutectic lamellar destabilization upon rapid solidification of an undercooled Ag-39.9 at.% Cu eutectic alloy

The eutectic Ag-Cu alloys exhibiting fine Ag-Cu lamellar eutectic structure formed upon rapid solidification have great potentials being used in various engineering ***,the desired fine primary lamellar eutectic structure(PLES)is usually replaced by a coarse anomalous eutectic structure(AES)when the undercooling prior to solidification exceeds a certain *** forming mechanism of AES in the undercooled eutectic Ag-Cu alloy has been a controversial *** this work,the undercooled Ag-39.9 at.% Cu eutectic alloy is solidified under different cooling conditions by using techniques of melt fluxing and copper mold *** results show that the coupled eutectic growth of this alloy undergoes a transition from a slow eutectic-cellular growth(ECG)to a rapid eutectic-dendritic growth(EDG)above a undercooling of 72 K,accompanying with an abrupt change of the distribution and amount of AES in as-solidified *** kinds of primary lamellar eutectic structures are formed by ECG and EDG during recalescence,*** destabilization of PLES that causes the formation of AES is ascribed to two different mechanisms based on the microstructural examination and theoretical *** 72 K,the destabilization of PLES formed by slow ECG is caused by the mechanism of"termination migration"driven by interfacial *** above 72 K,the destabilization of PLES formed by rapid EDG is attributed to the unstable perturbation of interface driven by interfacial energy and solute supersaturation.

Power semiconductor devices cascaded topology is one of the most common solutions for solid-state circuit breakers(SSCBs)working in medium-voltage DC ***,when the number of cascaded devices is large,current series technologies of power semiconductor devices will be difficult to be applied since with uneven voltage sharing ***,this paper proposes a novel cascade method of multi-SiC JFETs based on modules *** method consists of two parts:one is a single-gate driver cascaded SiC JFETs topology which is used to form the module,the other one is an active clamp control strategy which ensures that each module is protected from overvoltage when modules are *** proposed cascade method can effectively suppress voltage overshoot of cascading power devices in the switching *** on the proposed cascade method,a 5kV/63A SSCB prototype is ***,an experiment is conducted based on the designed *** results validate the effectiveness of the proposed cascaded method for SSCB.

A deep neural network model generally consists of different modules that play essential roles in performing a *** optimal design of a module for use in modeling a physical problem is directly related to the success of the *** this work,the effectiveness of a number of special modules,the self-attention mechanism for recognizing the importance of molecular sequence information in a polymer,as well as the big-stride representation and conditional random field for enhancing the network ability to produce desired local configurations,is numerically *** models containing these modules are trained by using the well documented data of the native structures of the HP model and assessed according to their capability in making structural predictions of unseen *** specific network design of self-attention mechanism adopted here is modified from a similar idea in natural language *** big-stride representation module introduced in this work is shown to drastically improve network's capability to model polymer segments of strong lattice position correlations.

Demand-driven water withdrawals by Chinese industry： a multi-regional input-output analysis

With ever increasing water demands and the continuous intensification of water scarcity arising from China＇s industrialization, the country is struggling to harmonize its industrial development and water supply. This paper presents a systems analysis of water with- drawals by Chinese industry and investigates demand- driven industrial water uses embodied in final demand and interregional trade based on a multi-regional input-output model. In 2007, the Electric Power, Steam, and Hot Water Production and Supply sector ranks first in direct industrial water withdrawal （DWW）, and Construction has the largest embodied industrial water use （EWU）. Investment, consumption, and exports contribute to 34.6%, 33.3%, and 30.6% of the national total EWU, respectively. Specifically, 58.0%, 51.1%, 48.6%, 43.3%, and 37.5% of the regional EWUs respectively in Guangdong, Shanghai, zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Fujian are attributed to international exports. The total interregional import/export of embodied water is equivalent to about 40% of the national total DWW, of which 55.5% is associated with the DWWs of Electric Power, Steam, and Hot Water Production and Supply. Jiangsu is the biggest interregional exporter and deficit receiver of embodied water, in contrast to Guangdong as the biggest interregional importer and surplus receiver. Without implementing effective water- saving measures and adjusting industrial structures, the regional imbalance between water availability and water demand tends to intensify considering the water impact of domestic trade of industrial products. Steps taken to improve water use efficiency in production, and to enhance embodied water saving in consumption are both of great significance for supporting China＇s water policies.

The synthesis and application of zeolitic material from fly ash by one-pot method at low temperature

A new route to prepare zeolitic material was introduced in this work. Compared with traditional methods, the new route showed lower energy consume. The effect of pre-treatment conditions on structure and crystalline phase was investigated, revealing that the mullite crystalline phase in fly ash could be converted to amorphous phase by alkali at low temperature. The removal performance of heavy metal ions on designed material was also investigated, and we found that the intermediate product showed higher adsorption capacity on Ni^(2+) than zeolite A.
