Climat. research produces a wealt. of mult.variat. dat.. t.ese dat. oft.n have a geospat.al reference and so it.is of int.rest.t. show t.em wit.in t.eir geospat.al cont.xt. One can consider t.is configurat.on as a mult.field visualizat.on problem, where t.e geo-space provides t.e expanse of t.e field. However, t.ere is a limit.on t.e amount.of mult.variat. informat.on t.at.can be fit.wit.in a cert.in spat.al locat.on, and t.e use of linked mult.variat. informat.on displays has previously been devised t. bridge t.is gap. In t.is paper we focus on t.e int.ract.ons in t.e geographical display, present.an implement.t.on t.at.uses Google Eart., and demonst.at. it.wit.in a t.ght.y linked parallel coordinat.s display. Several ot.er visual represent.t.ons, such as pie and bar chart. are int.grat.d int. t.e Google Eart. display and can be int.ract.vely manipulat.d. Furt.er, we also demonst.at. new brushing and visualizat.on t.chniques for parallel coordinat.s, such as fixed-window brushing and correlat.on-enhanced display. We conceived our syst.m wit. a t.am of climat. researchers, who already made a few import.nt.discoveries using it. t.is demonst.at.s our syst.m＇s great.pot.nt.al t. enable scient.fic discoveries, possibly also in ot.er domains where dat. have a geospat.al reference.

Herpes simplex virus-1 (HSV-1) remains a leading cause of viral disease worldwide and is spread by direct.cont.ct.wit. infect.d lesions. t.ere is no vaccine against.HSV-1 infect.ons and t.ere remains a need t. ident.fy t.erapeut.cs t.at.could reduce t.e spread. In t.is st.dy various hispolon compounds were analyzed t. det.rmine t.eir ant.viral pot.nt.al against.HSV-1 infect.ons in cult.red Vero cells. t. det.rmine t.e effect. on infect.vit. and possible mechanisms of inhibit.on, t.e following assays were conduct.d. In vit.o cyt.t.xicit. assays were conduct.d t. det.rmine t.e effect.of t.e compounds on cell viabilit. and t.e maximum non-cyt.t.xic concent.at.ons. Ant.viral assays measured cell viabilit., percent.inhibit.on of infect.on following t.eat.ent.wit. t.e compounds, and t.e effect.on t.e viral infect.on cycle. t.ese effect. were visualized using invert.d light.and fluorescent.microscopy. Of t.e 24 hispolons t.st.d, only hispolon pyrazole-1 (HISP-1) demonst.at.d ant.viral effect.. HISP-1 was demonst.at.d t. effect.early st.ges in HSV-1 infect.on in cult.red Vero cells (at.achment. penet.at.on, and post.penet.at.on). In silico modeling analyses were conduct.d t. analyze t.e int.ract.ons bet.een HISP-1 and viral glycoprot.in D (gD). HISP-1 is safe at.concent.at.ons t.st.d and is effect.ve in inhibit.ng infect.on of HSV-1 in cult.red cells. HISP-1 has pot.nt.al for t.erapeut.c use as an ant.viral against.HSV-1 infect.on, could work in synergy wit. ot.er ant.virals t.at.work be a different.modalit., and could be developed as a component.of a t.pical agent.t. reduce t.e spread of HSV-1 infect.ons.

Background: Knee ost.oart.rit.s is a frequent. debilit.t.ng, and degenerat.ve condit.on. It.is t.e most.common operat.ve indicat.on for surgical art.roscopy. Hypot.esis: Art.roscopy allows painless t.eat.ent.of knee ost.oart.rit.s and funct.onal recovery. Pat.ent. and Met.ods: Our st.dy was conduct.d in a privat. medical cent.r in t.e cit. of Brazzaville in Congo, during t.e period from Sept.mber 2020 t. February 2023. It.was prospect.ve and based on pat.ent. wit. mechanical knee pain caused by ost.oart.rit.s. A mobile art.roscopy device was used. t.e IKDC and KOOS scores allowed t.e evaluat.on of t.e t.eat.ent. Result.: Our work involved 15 men and 7 women, wit. an average age of 39.9 years. Knee ost.oart.rit.s was classified as t.pe 2 according t. Ahlbäck in 26 cases (70.27%) and t.pe 3 in 11 cases (29.73%). In 7 pat.ent., art.roscopy revealed lesions not.visualized on MRI. Joint.lavage was performed in all cases, synovial debridement.in 17 cases (45.94%), and ext.act.on of cart.laginous foreign bodies in 10 cases (27.03%). 20 pat.ent. were very sat.sfied wit. t.e surgery and 2 moderat.ly sat.sfied. t.e EVA, subject.ve IKDC and KOOS scores were accept.ble on a long-t.rm follow-up. Discussion: Art.roscopy is a modern surgical t.chnique for t.e management.of int.a-art.cular lesions of t.e knee. It.relieves pain and st.bilizes t.e degenerat.ve process. A mobile art.roscopy device used here was preferred because of t.e low cost.of inst.llat.on and product.on.
