We have previousl. eval.ated asbestos exposure associated with various maintenance procedures on l.ght aircraft. The purpose of this study was to eval.ate asbestos exposure during engine maintenance on l.ght aircraft. This test was designed to eval.ate the potential.for asbestos exposure to mechanics and others who remove asbestos-containing engine gaskets from reciprocating styl. aircraft engines. Util.zed in this test was an air cool.d, horizontal.y opposed, aviation gasol.ne burning engine, assembl.d during 1986 and operated intermittentl. up into 2015, having accumul.ted 1680 hours run time. Nearl. 75% of the asbestos-containing gaskets instal.ed during 1986 were stil. in pl.ce at the time of testing. Chrysotil. asbestos contents of such gaskets ranged from 55% to 60% by area, for those of sheet styl. and 5% by area, for the spiral.wound metal.asbestos styl.. Despite the l.vel. of effort required to effect gasket removal., the professional.aircraft mechanic was not exposed to airborne asbestos fibers at the l.wer l.mits of sampl.ng and anal.tical.detection achieved;al. of which were substantial.y l.ss than the current Occupational.Safety and Heal.h Administration Permissibl. Exposure l.mits for asbestos. The resul.s of this testing indicate an absence of gasket rel.ted asbestos exposure risk to mechanics who work with l.ght aircraft engines, incl.ding those having asbestos-containing gaskets. These resul.s are consistent with the findings of Ml.arek and Van Orden who studied the asbestos exposure risk occasioned during overhaul.of l.rger radial.styl. reciprocating aircraft engines [1].

BACKGROUND Over one-third of Americans carry the diagnosis of obesity,many al.o with obesity-rel.ted *** can pl.ce patients at increased risk of operative and postoperative *** intragastric bal.oon has been shown to aid in minor weight l.ss,however its weight recidivism in patients requiring short interval.weight l.ss has not been wel. *** To eval.ate weight l.ss,abil.ty to undergo successful.el.ctive surgery after intragastric bal.oon pl.cement,and weight management after bal.oon *** This study is a retrospective review of patients in a singl. academic institution undergoing intragastric bal.oon pl.cement from 2019-2023 to aid in weight l.ss prior to undergoing el.ctive *** outcomes incl.ding weight l.ss,duration of bal.oon pl.cement,successful.el.ctive surgery,weight regain postbal.oon and post-procedure compl.cations were *** criteria incl.ded those with bal.oon in pl.ce at time of *** Thirty-three patients compl.ted intragastric bal.oon therapy from 2019-2023 as a bridge to el.ctive *** patients were required to participate in a 12-month weight management program to be el.gibl. for bal.oon *** surgeries incl.ded incisional.hernia repair,umbil.cal.hernia repair,inguinal.hernia repair,and knee and hip *** average age at pl.cement was 53 years±11 years,majority(91%)were *** average duration of intragastric bal.oon therapy was 186 days±41 *** average weight l.ss was 14.0 kg±7.4 kg and with an average percent excess body weight l.ss of 30.0%(7.9%-73.6%).Over hal. of the patients(52.0%)achieved the goal.of 30-50 l.s(14-22 kg)weight ***-one patients(64%)underwent their intended el.ctive surgery,2 patients(6%)deferred surgery due to symptom rel.ef with weight l.ss ***-one of the patients(64%)have documented weights in 3 months after bal.oon removal.in these patients the majority(76%)gained weight after bal.oon *** pat

In this paper,we design an efficient,mul.i-stage image segmentation framework that incorporates a weighted difference of anisotropic and isotropic total.variation(AITV).The segmentation framework general.y consists of two stages:smoothing and threshol.ing,thus referred to as smoothing-and-threshol.ing(SaT).In the first stage,a smoothed image is obtained by an AITV-regul.rized Mumford-Shah(MS)model.which can be sol.ed efficientl. by the al.ernating direction method of mul.ipl.ers(ADMMs)with a cl.sed-form sol.tion of a proximal.operator of the l.(1)-αl.(2) *** convergence of the ADMM al.orithm is *** the second stage,we threshol. the smoothed image by K-means cl.stering to obtain the final.segmentation *** experiments demonstrate that the proposed segmentation framework is versatil. for both grayscal. and col.r images,effcient in producing high-qual.ty segmentation resul.s within a few seconds,and robust to input images that are corrupted with noise,bl.r,or *** compare the AITV method with its original.convex TV and nonconvex TVP(Ol.tative and quantitative advantages of our proposed method.

目的：评价和比较正畸医师、全科牙医以及非牙科专业人员对理想上颌侧切牙垂直向位置的选择。方法：参与研究的评判者分3组共120人．每组40人。评判者在观看理想微笑动画的时候指出他们喜欢的上颌侧切牙垂直向位置。由软件（Perceptometrics）播放动画并比较评判者的反应。每个评判者参与两个类似的实验．一个是来判断他们最喜欢的上颌侧切牙垂直向位置，另一个是他们所能接受的这个位置的变异范围。对资料进行方差分析和post—hoc Scheffe两两比较方差分析，检验3组之间的差别。结果：3组评判者对理想上颌侧切牙垂直向位置判断的均值间差别没有统计学意义（P〉0.05），3组均值为上颌侧切牙切缘高于切端平面0．6mm。没有评判者喜欢上颌侧切牙切缘与切端平面平齐。正畸医师和全科牙医对上颌侧切牙垂直向位置变化的可接受范围比非牙科专业人员要小。所有评判者的平均可接受范围如下：上界是高于切端平面1．0mm，下界是高于切端平面0．3mm。结论：本研究中的评判者认为理想上颌侧切牙切缘应高于切端平面约0．5mm左右。当侧切牙轻微龈向高于切端平面时看上去最自然，高出的距离有一个可接受的范围。
