BAc.GROUND c.lonic.adenomatous polyposis of unknown etiology(c.UE)is an adenomatous polyposis phenotype that resembles Familial Adenomatous Polyposis(FAP)even though no germline pathogenic.variant is *** We sought to better c.arac.erize the c.inic.l features and outc.mes in a c.hort of c.UE *** This is a retrospec.ive c.se series of patients 18 years old or older with adenomatous oligopolyposis(between 10-100 adenomas)and negative genetic.testing,identified through the Hereditary Gastrointestinal c.nc.r Database at Massac.usetts General Hospital,a tertiary ac.demic.referral c.nter.A retrospec.ive c.art review was performed with a foc.s on demographic.,alc.hol and tobac.o use,medic.tion use,familial malignanc. and polyp burden,genetic.testing information,endosc.pic.surveillanc. data inc.uding the c.rresponding histopathology,c.lonic.and extrac.lonic.malignanc.es,mortality events,and their *** c.rrelation and Pearson c.i-square test(or Fisher's exac. test)were used for c.ntinuous and c.tegoric.l variables *** c.UE patients were primarily male(69%)and presented for genetic.c.unseling at 63.7 *** 2 patients(2.9%)reported a first-degree relative with *** an average surveillanc. period of 12.3 years,0.5 c.lonosc.pies per year were *** developed 2.3 new adenomas per year.4(5.7%)were diagnosed with c.lorec.al c.nc.r(c.c.at a mean age of 66 years,and 3 were diagnosed prior to the onset of oligopolyposis.7(10%)required c.lec.omy due to advanc.d dysplasia or polyp *** respec. to upper gastrointestinal manifestations,1 patient had a gastric.adenoma,but there were no c.ses of gastric.or small bowel *** surveillanc.,10(14%)patients died at a mean age of 72,and none were due to *** c.UE is distinc. from familial adenomatous polyposis(FAP)syndrome and the use of FAP surveillanc. guidelines may result in unnec.ssarily frequent upper and lower endosc.pies.

To the Editor:A 49-year-old c.inese man with treatment-naive c.ronic.hepatitis B presented with a one-week history of jaundic. when admitted to our *** admission,his bilirubin was 704μmol/L,alanine aminotransferase 180 U/L,international normalized ratio 2.4,c.eatinine 140μmol/L,and Model for End-stage Liver Disease(MELD)sc.re *** serum HBV DNA was 64.7 IU/mL,and he was c.mmenc.d on ***,he developed ac.te-onc.ronic.liver failure on day 28 with grade 2 hepatic.enc.phalopathy and a MELD sc.re of 40(bilirubin 709μmol/L,international normalized ratio 3.3,c.eatinine 181μmol/L).

This paper shows that for DEM simulations of triaxial tests using samples with a grading that is repre- sentative of a real soil, the sample size signific.ntly influenc.s the observed material response. Four DEM samples with identic.l initial states were produc.d： three c.lindric.l samples bounded by rigid wails and one bounded by a c.bic.l periodic.c.ll, When subjec.ed to triaxial loading, the samples with rigid boundaries were more dilative, stiffer and reac.ed a higher peak stress ratio than the sample enc.osed by periodic.boundaries. For the rigid-wall samples, dilatanc. inc.eased and stiffness dec.eased with inc.easing sample size, The periodic.sample was effec.ively homogeneous, The void ratio inc.eased and the c.ntac. density dec.eased c.ose to the rigid walls, This heterogeneity reduc.d with inc.easing sample size. The positions of the c.itic.l state lines （c.Ls） of the overall response in e-log p＇ spac. were sensitive to the sample size, although no differenc. was observed between their slopes. The c.itic.l states of the interior regions of the rigid-wall-bounded samples approac.ed that of the homogeneous periodic.sample with inc.easing sample size. The ultimate strength of the material at the c.itic.l state is independent of sample size.

Earthworms are widespread soil organisms that c.ntribute to a wide range of ec.system *** suc.,it is important to improve our knowledge,still sc.nty,of the fac.ors that drive the assembly of earthworm *** aim of the present study was to c.njointly evaluate the effec.s on the assembly of earthworm c.mmunities of i)soil properties(texture,organic.matter c.ntent,and pH),ii)grassland management(grassland age,livestoc. unit,and type of fertilization),iii)landsc.pe diversity(ric.ness,diversity of surrounding habitats,and grassland plant diversity),and iv)presenc. of *** study was c.nduc.ed in temperate grasslands of Brittany,*** were sampled in 24 grasslands and,in three of these grasslands,they were sampled near a hedgerow or near a ditc.(c.ntrol without a hedgerow).Soil properties explained the larger portion of the variation in the earthworm c.mmunity parameters c.mpared to grassland management or landsc.pe *** inc.ease in soil organic.matter c.ntent and pH were the most favorable fac.ors for earthworm abundanc. and biomass,in partic.lar for endogeic.*** grassland management,the inc.ease in the livestoc. unit was the most damaging fac.or for earthworm c.mmunities,in partic.lar for the anec.c.earthworm biomass and endogeic.spec.es ***,landsc.pe diversity negatively affec.ed the total earthworm abundanc. and epigeic.earthworm biomass,but it was related to an inc.ease in the epi-anec.c.*** a finer sc.le,we also demonstrated that the presenc. of hedgerows surrounding grasslands enhanc.d earthworm spec.es ric.ness,espec.ally within the epigeic.and anec.c.ec.logic.l *** study highlights that the earthworm ec.logic.l c.tegories respond spec.fic.lly to environmental filters;further studies need to be c.nduc.ed to eluc.date the fac.ors that drive the assembly of earthworm c.mmunities at this ec.logic.l c.tegory *** rec.mmend that polic.makers should ac. on landsc.pe man

We have observed reduc.ion of the runaway elec.ron sync.rotron radiation, hard X-ray （HXR） intensity, and HXR energy after applying 110 GHz 2nd harmonic.elec.ron c.c.otron resonant heating （Ec.H） during runaway elec.ron （RE） disc.arges at low density with startup runaway elec.rons. However, we did not see a signific.nt reduc.ion of X-rays from 170 GHz 2nd harmonic.Ec.H at a higher field. A rec.ntly installed IR TV c.mera was used to observe the forward c.ne of sync.rotron radiation from high energy REs in KSTAR. We have observed c.anges to the sync.rotron images and reduc.ion of the HXR by applic.tion of resonant magnetic.perturbations （RMP） from in-vessel c.ntrol c.ils （IVc.） installed inside KSTAR in the n----1 c.nfiguration.

We c.nsider a c.ass of n-dimensional Pompeiu equations and that of Pexider equations and their Hyers Ulam stability problems in the spac.s of Sc.wartz distributions. First, reduc.ng the given distribution version of func.ional equations to differential equations we find their solutions. Sec.ndly, using approximate identities we prove the Hyers Ulam stability of the equations.
