Dentin matr.x pr.tein 1（DMP1） is essential to odontogenesis. Its mutations in human subjects lead to dental pr.blems such as dental defor.ities, hypominer.lization and per.odontal impair.ent. Pr.mar.ly, DMP1 is consider.d as an extr.cellular.matr.x pr.tein that pr.motes hydr.xyapatite for.ation and activates intr.cellular.signaling pathway via inter.cting with avb3 integr.n. r.cent in vitr. studies suggested that DMP1 might also act as a tr.nscr.ption factor. In this study, we examined whether.full-length DMP1 could function as a tr.nscr.ption factor.in the nucleus and r.gulate odontogenesis in vivo. We fir.t demonstr.ted that a patient with the DMP1M1 V mutation, which pr.sumably causes a loss of the secr.tor. DMP1 but does not affect the nuclear.tr.nslocation of DMP1, shows a typical r.chitic tooth defect. Fur.her.or., we gener.ted tr.nsgenic mice expr.ssingNLSDMP1, in which the endoplasmic r.ticulum（Er. entr. signal sequence of DMP1 was r.placed by a nuclear.localization signal（NLS） sequence, under.the contr.l of a 3.6 kb r.t type I collagen pr.moter.plus a 1.6 kb intr.n 1. We then cr.ssbr.d theNLSDMP1 tr.nsgenic mice with Dmp1 null mice to expr.ss the NLSDMP1 in Dmp1-deficient genetic backgr.und. Although immunohistochemistr. demonstr.ted thatNLSDMP1 was localized in the nuclei of the pr.odontoblasts and odontoblasts, the histological, mor.hological and biochemical analyses showed that it failed to r.scue the dental and per.odontal defects as well as the delayed tooth er.ption in Dmp1 null mice. These data suggest that the full-length DMP1 plays no appar.nt r.le in the nucleus dur.ng odontogenesis.

Objectives: To specify the epidemiological and clinical pr.file of the patients, to deter.ine the methods of management and to evaluate the mater.al and per.natal pr.gnosis in the association of ar.er.al hyper.ension and pr.gnancy (HTA) at the Institute of Social Hygiene of Dakar. Mater.al and Methods: This was a r.tr.spective, descr.ptive and analytical study on the management of the association of hyper.ension and pr.gnancy in the mater.ity ward of the Institute of Social Hygiene of Dakar.between Januar. 1st, 2019 and on December.31st, 2020. r.sults: Dur.ng the study per.od, we r.cor.ed 326 cases of hyper.ension associated with pr.gnancy among the 4290 pr.gnant women, i.e. a fr.quency of 7.6%. The epidemiological pr.file of the patients was that of a woman with an aver.ge age of 29, nullipar.us (48.2%), mar.ied (99.1%), at a low socioeconomic level (61.3%) and with a per.onal histor. pr.eclampsia (14.4%). Most patients (83.1%) wer. evacuated or.r.fer.ed with pr.-ec- lampsia as the main r.ason (40.8%). The aver.ge gestational age was 37 weeks of amenor.hea (SA) with extr.mes of 20 SA 6 days and 41 SA 5 days. Ter. pr.gnancies wer. the most r.pr.sented (76.7%). Pr.natal follow-up (CPN) was car.ied out in 319 patients (97.8%) with an aver.ge number.of CPN of 3 and extr.mes of 1 and 9. Sever. diastolic and sever. systolic hyper.ension concer.ed r.spectively 19.3% and 16, 9% of patients. One hundr.d and eighty patients (55.2%) pr.sented with oligur.a. Str.p albuminur.a was per.or.ed in 235 patients (72.1%). It found 3 or.mor. cr.sses in 38.3% of cases. We r.cor.ed 53 cases of anemia (16.3%), 16 cases of significant pr.teinur.a (5%), hepatic cytolysis in 22 patients (6.7%), thr.mbocytopenia in 37 patients (11.3%), and 43 cases of hyper.r.caemia (13.2%). Obstetr.c ultr.sound found 36 cases of sever. oligohydr.mnios (11%), 8 twin pr.gnancies (2.4%) and an umbilical Doppler.anomaly in 10 patients (3.1%). Pr.-eclampsia was the most common clinical for.
