The energy devices for generation,conversion,and storage of electricity are widely used across diverse aspects of human life and various ***-dimensional(3D)printing has emerged as a promising technology for the fabrication of energy devices due to its unique capability of manufacturing complex shapes across different length scales.3D-printed energy devices can have intricate 3D structures for significant performance enhancement,which are otherwise impossible to achieve through conventional manufacturing ***,recent progress has witnessed that 3D-printed energy devices with micro-lattice structures surpass their bulk counterparts in terms of mechanical properties as well as electrical *** existing literature focuses mostly on specific aspects of individual printed energy devices,a brief overview collectively covering the wide landscape of energy applications is *** review provides a concise summary of recent advancements of 3D-printed energy *** classify these devices into three functional categories;generation,conversion,and storage of energy,offering insight on the recent progress within each ***,current challenges and future prospects associated with 3Dprinted energy devices are discussed,emphasizing their potential to advance sustainable energy solutions.

This paper considers an optimal sequential inspection schedule for a second-hand product after that the free nonrenewable warranty is expired. The length of warranty is prespecified and during the warranty period, the product is minimally repaired by the dealer when it fails. Following the expiration of the non-renewing warranty, the product is inspected and upgraded sequentially a fixed number of times at the expenses of the *** each inspection, the failure rate of the product is reduced proportionally so that the product is upgraded. The product is assumed to deteriorate as it ages and the replacement of the product occurs when a fixed number of inspections are rendered. In addition,the intervals between two successive inspections are assumed to decrease monotonically. The main objective of this paper is to determine the optimal improvement level to upgrade the product at each inspection so that the expected maintenance cost during the life cycle of the product is minimized from the perspective of the customer. Under the given cost structures, we derive an explicit formula to obtain the expected maintenance cost incurred during the life cycle of the product and discuss the method to find the optimal level of the improvement analytically in case the failure times follow the Weibull distribution. Numerical results are analyzed to observe the impact of relevant parameters on the optimal solution.

Ni—SiC—h/BN composite materials were prepared by electrodeposition technique with the dispersion of SiC（10 g/L） and h/BN nanosheets（10 g/L） in a nickel sulfamate electrolytic *** ratio of sodium dodecyl sulfate（SDS） and cetyltrymethyl ammonium bromide（CTAB） surfactants were used to evaluate the effect of surfactants on the properties of the electrodeposited composite *** coating samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction,Vickers microhardness test,scratch and tribology *** results revealed that the co-deposition of nanoparticles was significantly influenced by surfactants during electrodeposition *** or polyhedral nickel crystallites were observed at higher ratio of SDS/CTAB while smaller oval grains with refined surface morphologies were obtained at lower ratio of SDS/CTAB *** addition,wt%of particles co-deposition was increased,and Vickers microhardness,wear and coefficient of friction of the electrodeposited composite coatings were improved at increased CTAB and decreased SDS contents in the electrolyte during electrodeposition process.

The use of electrochemical-metallization-based volatile threshold switching selectors in cross-point arrays has been widely explored owing to their high on-off ratios and simple ***,these devices are unsuitable for cross-point architectures because of the difficulty in controlling the random filament formation that results in large fluctuations in the threshold voltage during *** this study,we investigated the unidirectional threshold transition characteristics associated with an Ag/GST/HfO_(x)/Pt-based bilayer selector and demonstrated the occurrence of a low leakage current(hold voltage(Δ0.11 V).The bilayer structure could control the filament formation in the intermediate state through the insertion of an HfO_(x) tunneling *** stacking a bilayer selector with NiO_(x)based resistive random-access memory,the leakage and programming currents of the device could be significantly *** the crossbar array configuration,we performed equivalent circuit analysis of a one-selector oneresistor(1S1R) devices and estimated the optimal array size to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed *** maximum acceptable crossbar array size of the 1S1R device with the Ag/GST/HfO_(x)/Pt/Ti/NiO_(x)/Pt structure was 5.29×10^(14)(N^(2),N=2.3×10^(7)).

Extraction and Purification of Depigmenting Agents from Chinese Plants

Depigmenting agents were solvent-extracted and purified by preparative and analytical HPLC from three Chinese plants; Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat（ Xizang Caijuhua）, Rhodiola sachalinensis, and Terminalia chebula Retzius. Four fractions obtained from the ethyl ether layer of C. m. Rama and two fractions from the ethyl acetate layer of Rhodiola salientness show depigmenting effects. At 8 200, the ethyl acetate layers of Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat, Rhodiola sachalinensis and the methanol extract of Terminalia chebula Retzius, can inhibit the melanin production of mouse B16 melanoma cells by 92%, 60% and 90%, respectively, whereas 46% inhibition was observed by commercially available depigmenting agents（arbutin）. These results show the potential of these three Chinese plants as a novel resource for depigmenting agents in the cosmetic industry.

Nickel-iron nanocrystalline alloys with different compositions and grain sizes were fabricated by electroplating for MEMS devices. The iron content of the deposits was changed by varying the nickel/iron ion ratio in the electrolyte. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis was applied for measuring the strength of the texture and grain size of the deposits. The nickel/iron atom ratio of the deposits was analyzed by EDS. The hardness of the alloys was evaluated by Vickers hardness indenter. The internal stress of the deposits was measured by thin film stress measurement using Stoney's formula. Surface morphology and roughness were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Hardness and internal stress mechanism of the electroplated structure as a function of Fe ion content and current density were revealed. With increasing the iron content, the hardness and internal stress of the deposits increase. An excellent correlation between the increase in the internal stress and the loss of (200) texture were found.

Composite solid electrolytes(CSEs)have emerged as promising candidates for safe and high-energy–density solid-state lithium metal batteries(SSLMBs).however,concurrently achieving exceptional ionic conductivity and interface compatibility between the electrolyte and electrode presents a significant challenge in the development of high-performance CSEs for *** overcome these challenges,we present a method involving the in-situ polymerization of a monomer within a self-supported porous Li_(6.4)La_(3)Zr_(1.4)Ta_(0.6)O_(12)(LLZT)to produce the *** synergy of the continuous conductive LLZT network,well-organized polymer,and their interface can enhance the ionic conductivity of the CSE at room ***,the in-situ polymerization process can also con-struct the integration and compatibility of the solid electrolyte–solid electrode *** synthesized CSE exhibited a high ionic conductivity of 1.117 mS cm^(-1),a significant lithium transference number of 0.627,and exhibited electrochemical stability up to 5.06 V ***/Li+at 30℃.Moreover,the Li|CSE|LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2) cell delivered a discharge capacity of 105.1 mAh g^(-1) after 400 cycles at 0.5 C and 30℃,corresponding to a capacity retention of 61%.This methodology could be extended to a variety of ceramic,polymer electrolytes,or battery systems,thereby offering a viable strategy to improve the electrochemical properties of CSEs for high-energy–density SSLMBs.

Mitochondrial reactive oxygen species(mROS)that are overproduced by mitochondrial dysfunction are linked to pathological conditions including sensory ***,we explored whether mROS overproduction induces itch through transient receptor potential canonical 3(TRPC3),which is sensitive to *** injection of antimycin A(AA),a selective inhibitor of mitochondrial electron transport chain complex III for mROS overproduction,produced robust scratching behavior in naïve mice,which was suppressed by MitoTEMPO,a mitochondria-selective ROS scavenger,and Pyr10,a TRPC3-specific blocker,but not by blockers of TRPA1 or *** activated subsets of trigeminal ganglion neurons and also induced inward currents,which were blocked by MitoTEMPO and ***,dry skin-induced chronic scratching was relieved by MitoTEMPO and Pyr10,and also by resveratrol,an *** together,our results suggest that mROS elicit itch through TRPC3,which may underlie chronic itch,representing a potential therapeutic target for chronic itch.

Effect of precursor thermal history on the formation of amorphous and crystalline calcium carbonate

The role of the thermal history of the precursor was studied for amorphous and crystalline calcium carbon- ate phases synthesized from calcium nitrate. The X-ray diffraction patterns of these phases are influenced by their annealing temperature of 0, 300, 400, and 500 ℃. however, the effect of the precursor thermal history on the X-ray diffraction pattern of the resulting calcium carbonate phase is negligible. Transmis- sion electron microscopy indicates that materials annealed at 400 ℃ consist of amorphous aggregates, irrespective of the precursor thermal history. The crystallite size of crystalline calcium carbonate is influ- enced by the precursor thermal history, and ranges from 23 to 26 rim. Near-edge X-ray absorption fine structure measurements indicate that the annealing temperature plays an important role in determining the local electronic structure. The role of the thermal history of the precursor is also important for the resultinu electronic structure.
