Adipose browning has demonstrated therapeutic potentials in several ***,by conducting transcriptomic profiling at the single-cell and single-nucleus resolution,we reconstituted the cellular atlas in mouse inguinal subcutaneous white adipose tissue(iWAT)at thermoneutrality or chronic cold *** major nonimmune cells within the iWAT,including adipose stem and progenitor cells(ASPCs),mature adipocytes,endothelial cells,Schwann cells,and smooth muscle cells,were recovered,allowing us to uncover an overall and detailed blueprint for transcriptomes and intercellular cross-talks and the dynamics during white adipose tissue brown *** findings also unravel the existence of subpopulations in mature adipocytes,ASPCs,and endothelial cells,as well as new insights on their interconversion and reprogramming in response to *** adipocyte subpopulation competent of major histocompatibility complex class Ⅱ(MHCⅡ)antigen presentation is ***,a subcluster of ASPC with CD74 expression was identified as the precursor of this MHCⅡ^(+)*** adipocytes are transdifferented from preexisting lipid generating adipocytes,which exhibit developmental trajectory from de novo differentiation of amphiregulin cells(Aregs).Two distinct immune-like endothelial subpopulations are present in iWAT and are responsive to *** data reveal fundamental changes during cold-evoked adipose browning.

Patients with high tumor mutational burden(TMB)levels do not consistently respond to immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs),possibly because a high TMB level does not necessarily result in adequate infiltration of CD8^(+)T *** bulk ribonucleic acid sequencing(RNA-seq)data from 9311 tumor samples across 30 cancer types,we developed a novel tool called the modulator of TMB-associated immune infiltration(MOTIF),which comprises genes that can determine the extent of CD8^(+)T cell infiltration prompted by a certain TMB *** confirmed that MOTIF can accurately reflect the integrity and defects of the cancer-immunity *** analyzing 84 human single-cell RNA-seq datasets from 32 types of solid tumors,we revealed that MOTIF can provide insights into the diverse roles of various cell types in the modulation of CD8^(+)T cell *** pretreatment RNA-seq data from 13 ICI-treated cohorts,we validated the use of MOTIF in predicting CD8^(+)T cell infiltration and ICI *** the components of MOTIF,we identified EMC3 as a negative regulator of CD8^(+)T cell infiltration,which was validated via in vivo ***,MOTIF provided guidance for the potential combinations of programmed death 1 blockade with certain immunostimulatory drugs to facilitate CD8^(+)T cell infiltration and improve ICI efficacy.

The phylogeny of the Acarosporaceae(Lecanoromycetes,Acarosporomycetidae,Acarosporales)is investigated using data from three molecular markers;nuclear ITS-LSU rDNA,mitochondrial SSU andβ-*** is shown to be constituted by six main clades;Myriospora,Timdalia,Pleopsidium,a clade composed by BAcarospora^rhizobola and BA.^terricola,the poorly supported Sarcogyne clade(including several Polysporina and Acarospora species)and the Acarospora clade(including the type of Polysporina,***,and several other Polysporina species).The common ancestor of the Acarosporaceae did not produce strongly black pigmented(carbonized or melanized)ascomata,but this trait has arisen secondarily and independently numerous times in the evolution of the *** number of changes in character states of both carbonized epihymenium and carbonized exciple are considerably more than the minimum *** genera Sarcogyne and Polysporina—largely circumscribed based on the presence of black pigmented ascomata—are shown to be distinctly *** presence of green algae in the ascoma margin(lecanorine or lecideine ascomata)may vary even within single species.

Investigation on aerodynamic force effect of vacuum plumes using pressure-sensitive paint technique and CFD-DSMC solution

Pressure-sensitive paint(PSP) technique was employed to experimentally investigate the aerodynamic force effect of vacuum plume in this study. The characterization and comparison for two types of PSP were firstly conducted in an air pressure range from0.05 to 5000 Pa. The PSPs were prepared using PtTFPP as the active dye and different binders, i.e., polymer-ceramic(PC) and poly(1-trimethylsilyl-1-propyne) [poly(TMSP)]. The static calibrations showed that PtTFPP/poly(TMSP) had a higher pressure sensitivity and a lower temperature dependency compared to PtTFPP/PC in this pressure range. The pressure distributions of a single and two interacting plumes impinging onto a flat plate model were measured using PSP technique. The experimental data were compared to numerical solutions that combined both the computed fluid dynamics(CFD) and direct simulation Monte Carlo(DSMC) methods. Remarkable agreements were achieved, demonstrating the feasibility and accuracy of the numerical ***, the aerodynamic force effect of interacting plumes at different separation distances was investigated numerically.

Improving Shape from Shading with Interactive Tabu Search

Optimisation based shape from shading （SFS） is sensitive to initialization： errors in initialization are a signifi- cant cause of poor overall shape reconstruction. In this paper, we present a method to help overcome this problem by means of user interaction. There are two key elements in our method. Firstly, we extend SFS to consider a set of initializations, rather than to use a single one. Secondly, we efficiently explore this initialization space using a heuristic search method, tabu search, guided by user evaluation of the reconstruction quality. Reconstruction results on both synthetic and real images demonstrate the effectiveness of our method in providing more desirable shape reconstructions.

Low-temperature Sb(Au-Hg) deposits in South China account for more than 50% of the world’s Sb reserves,however,their genesis remains *** we report the first study that integrates U-Pb and Lu-Hf analysis by LA-(MC)-ICPMS and conventional(U-Th)/He analysis,all applied to single zircon crystals,in an attempt to constrain the origin and timing of world-class Sb(Au-Hg) deposits in Banxi(South China).Zircon separated from a quartz-stibnite ore and an altered country rock samples revealed similar U-Pb age spectra defining two major populations-Paleoproterozoic(~1900-2500 Ma) and Neoproterozoic(~770 Ma),which are characterized by variable εHf(t) values(-10.7 to 9.1 and-16.5 to 11.2,respectively) and Hf crustal model ages(TDMC)(2.48 to 3.24 Ga and 0.97 to 2.71 Ga,respectively).The U-Pb age and Hf isotopic features of the zircons are consistent with the Banxi Group in the region,indicating that the zircons involved in the low-temperature hydrothermal system were originally from the Banxi Group country ***-three mineralization-related zircon crystals yielded a mean(U-Th)/He age of 123.8±3.8 Ma,which is interpreted to represent the timing of the latest low-temperature mineralization stage of the Banxi Sb *** combined U-Pb,Lu-Hf and(U-Th)/He data suggest that Precambrian basement rocks were the major contributors to the low-temperature mineralization,and that Early Cretaceous(130-120 Ma) could be the most important ore-forming epoch for the Sb deposits in South *** study also demonstrates the analytical feasibility of integrated U-Pb-Lu-Hf-(U-Th)/He "triple-dating",all applied to single zircon *** approach reveals the full evolution of zircon,from its origin of the magmatic source,through its crystallization and low-temperature *** this study demonstrates the usefulness of this integrated approach in dating low-temperature mineralization,it has great potential for zircon provenance and other studies that may benefit f

Esophageal squamous papilloma lacks clear clinicopathological associations

AIM To determine the prevalence of esophageal squamous papillomas(ESPs) in a tertiary teaching hospital and to assess for any clinical associations, including relations with esophageal squamous cell carcinomas(SCCs). METHODS Data from a total of 6962 upper gastrointestinal endoscopies over a five year period were retrospectively obtained and analysed. RESULTS ESP was found in sixteen patients(0.23%). Eight(50%) patients had a high body mass index, seven(44%) had history of cigarette smoking. Reflux esophagitis was found in four(25%) patients. All ESPs were solitary with a mean endoscopic size of 3.8 mm and located in the mid to lower esophagus. Human papilloma virus(HPV) was tested in three(19%) patients and was negative. Esophageal SCC was found in seven patients(0.10%) during the same period. None of the specimens were tested for HPV, and none had associated papillomatous changes. CONCLUSION ESP is an uncommon tumour with unclear clinical associations and malignant potential.
