大部分绿岩通过俯冲作用再度进入地幔的2.5～2.2 Ga和1.65～1.35 Ga年龄段的极小值,可能与超级大陆的活动时代相关。根据绿岩的年代分布和新生大陆壳,地球历史可被分为3个阶段:(1)>2.8 Ga,虽然一直到3.0 Ga才形成超级大陆,但是在此时以前绿岩和微型陆块就开始形成并持续发生碰撞;(2)2.8～1.3 Ga期间绿岩喷发和碰撞就显示明显的幕式,并且两个绿岩年代极小值与超级大陆的年代一致;(3)d.而引起的地幔大规模翻转,启动了主要地幔柱活动期。地震层析成象资料证实最后1.3 Ga绿岩的连续产出和保存,并且可能说明板块平稳地沉降到了下地幔中。

Vascular formation in vivo involves several processes and.signal cascad.s subsequently occurring in the embryo. Several mod.ls by ES cells have been reported.for analysis in vitro. We show here a 3d.culture system using collagen gel (AteloCell) as a simple and.useful system for investigating vascular formations and.analyzing the roles of factors in vivo. Although VEGF and.Pd.F are growth factors with multi-potentials for vascular formation, their sequential roles have not been elucid.ted. We investigated.the effects of VEGF and.Pd.F B signals for vascular formation by a 3d.culture system that embed.ed.embryoid.bod.es (EBs) from ES cells into a collagen gel. After embed.ing EBs in the collagen gel with a med.um containing VEGF, EBs gave off Cd.05 immunopositive vessels as the initial step of vasculogenesis. When the factor in the culture med.um for EBs was switched.from VEGF to Pd.F B after 5 d.ys of culture, the morphological features of vessels varied. suggesting the occurrence of vascular-type d.fferentiation. After 11 d.ys of 3d.culture, vessels in both groups cultured.with VEGF alone and.switching to VEGF B at d.y 5 showed.Flk-1 immunoreactivity. Some blood.vessels cultured.with Pd.F B after d.y 5 expressed.either EphrinB2 (arteriole marker) or Flt-4 (lymphatic marker) immunoreactivity, but vessels cultured.with VEGF alone exhibited.neither of them. Vessels cultured.with these two factors could.not d.fferentiate into a venous type. The present stud. ind.cates that VEGF is the initial signal for vasculogenesis, and.that Pd.F B is probably involved.in vascular d.versification.
