Oral cancer (OC) is the most common form of head and neck cancer. Despite the high incidence and unfavourable patient outcomes, currently, there are no biomarkers for the early detection of OC. This study aims to discover, develop, and validate a novel saliva-based microRNA signature for early diagnosis and prediction of OC risk in oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMD).The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) miRNA sequencing data and small RNA sequencing data of saliva samples were used to discover differentially expressed miRNAs. Identified miRNAs were validated in saliva samples of OC (n=50), OPMD (n=52), and controls(n=60) using quantitative real-time PCR. Eight differentially expressed miRNAs (miR-7-5p, miR-10b-5p, miR-182-5p, miR-215-5p,miR-431-5p, miR-486-3p, miR-3614-5p, and miR-4707-3p) were identified in the discovery phase and were validated. The efficiency of our eight-miRNA signature to discriminate OC and controls was:area under curve (AUC):0.954, sensitivity:86%, specificity:90%,positive predictive value (PPV):87.8%and negative predictive value (NPV):88.5%whereas between OC and OPMD was:AUC:0.911,sensitivity:90%, specificity:82.7%, PPV:74.2%and NPV:89.6%. We have developed a risk probability score to predict the presence or risk of OC in OPMD patients. We established a salivary miRNA signature that can aid in diagnosing and predicting OC,revolutionising the management of patients with OPMD. Together, our results shed new light on the management of OC by salivary miRNAs to the clinical utility of using miRNAs derived from saliva samples.

Cosmic rays can interact with the solar atmosphere and produce a slew of secondary messengers,making the Sun a bright gamma-ray source in the *** observations with Fermi-LAT have shown that these interactions must be strongly affected by solar magnetic fields in order to produce a wide range of observational features,such as a high flux and hard ***,the detailed mechanisms behind these features are still a *** this study,we tackle this problem by performing particle-interaction simulations in the solar atmosphere in the presence of coronal magnetic fields using the potential field source surface(PFSS)*** find that low-energy(~GeV)gamma-ray production is significantly enhanced by the coronal magnetic fields,but the enhancement decreases rapidly with *** enhancement directly correlates with the production of gamma rays with large deviation angles relative to the input cosmic-ray *** conclude that coronal magnetic fields are essential for correctly modeling solar disk gamma rays below 10 GeV,but above that,the effect of coronal magnetic fields *** magnetic field structures are needed to explain the high-energy disk emission.

Assessing the Applicability of Multi-Source Precipitation Products over the Chinese Mainland and Its Seven Regions

The results show that according to the precipitation characteristics and accuracy of different types of precipitation products over the Chinese mainland, MSWEP was the most suitable product over the Chinese mainland, having the lowest root mean square error and mean absolute error, along with the highest coefficient of determination. It was followed by TRMM and ERA5, whereas PERSIANN lagged behind in terms of performance. In terms of different regions, MSWEP still performed well, especially in North China and East China. The accuracy of the four precipitation products was relatively low in the summer months, and they all overestimated in the northwest region. In other months, MSWEP and TRMM were better than PERSIANN and ERA5. The four precipitation products had good detection performance over the Chinese mainland, with probability of detection above ***, with the increase of precipitation threshold, the detection capability of the four products decreased, and MSWEP and ERA5 had good detection capability for moderate rain. Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy are among the leading causes of severe maternal morbidity and mortality, particularly in developing countries. The aim was to determine the maternal and perinatal prognosis of patients with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy as a function of serum ionised calcium levels. Material and Methods: A cross-sectional analytical study of 114 patients with arterial hypertension during pregnancy or during pregnancy or in the postpartum period at the HGR/Panzi from 1 January 2021 to 30 June 2022, text was entered using Microsoft Office Word 2010 and the tables were analysed using Excel 2010. The data was analysed using SPSS version 20.0 and Stata 14.0. The associations of the variables were calculated using Pearson's chi-square test, with a significance threshold set at a value of p < 0.05. Study of risk factors, Odds ratios and their confidence intervals were estimated in a univariate analysis. The most determining factors were identified by multivariate analysis using the Forward conditional logistic regression model. Results: The mean gestational age was 34.43 ± 4.327 amenorheas weeks, 46.6% of patients had a vaginal delivery, 66.65% of which were indicated for maternal prognosis, maternal complications were associated with maternal hypocalcaemia in 81, 82% (P = 0.043) and an OR = 3.255 (P = 0.0158) threefold risk that the patient presenting with a complication is likely to be in a state of hypocalcaemia at 95% confidence index, and fetal prognosis was not significantly related to maternal calcaemia.
