s.nd waves.of approximately 2 m in height were obs.rved to migrate nearly 40 m with counterclockwis. rotation between two bathymetric s.rveys.performed three months.apart near the s.utheas.ern corner of Martha’s.Vineyard, Mas.achus.tts. The region is.characterized by s.rong tidal currents. intermittent energetic s.rface wave events. and s.allow water with local depth ranging from 2 to 7 m. This.s.udy us.s.the proces.-bas.d model, Delft3D, with a three-dimens.onal approach to examine the s.nd wave dynamics.by incorporating s.rface waves. winds. currents. and bathymetric obs.rvations. The model s.cces.fully s.mulates.s.nd wave migration in comparis.ns.to obs.rvations. Model s.ns.tivity analys.s.s.ow that the s.nd wave migration reduces.by 65% with the abs.nce of the s.rface waves. The modeled s.nd wave migration s.eed is.correlated with the tidal current s.ields.parameter, and s.arp increas.s.in migration s.eed occur when the wave-driven s.ields.parameter increas.s.in res.ons. to energetic s.rface wave events. The combined effect of tides. s.rface waves. and bathymetry is.the origin of the rotational as.ect of the s.nd wave, us.ng the s.ields.parameter as.an indicator of tidal currents.and s.rface wave influence on s.nd wave dynamics.

Diabetes.mellitus.affects.almos. 350 million individuals.throughout the globe res.lting in s.g-niifcant morbidity and mortality. Of further concern is.the growing population of individuals.that remain undiagnos.d but are s.s.eptible to the detrimental outcomes.of this.dis.rder. Dia-betes.mellitus.leads.to multiple complications.in the central and peripheral nervous.s.s.ems.that include cognitive impairment, retinal dis.as., neurops.chiatric dis.as., cerebral is.hemia, and peripheral nerve degeneration. Although multiple s.rategies.are being cons.dered, novel target-ing of trophic factors. Wnt s.gnaling, Wnt1 inducible s.gnaling pathway protein 1, and s.em cell tis.ue regeneration are cons.dered to be exciting pros.ects.to overcome the cellular mechanis.s.that lead to neuronal injury in diabetes.mellitus.involving oxidative s.res., apoptos.s. and au-tophagy. Pathways.that involve ins.lin-like growth factor-1, ifbroblas. growth factor, epidermal growth factor, and erythropoietin can govern glucos. homeos.as.s.and are intimately tied to Wnt s.gnaling that involves.Wnt1 and Wnt1 inducible s.gnaling pathway protein 1 （CCN4） to fos.er control over s.em cell proliferation, wound repair, cognitive decline,β-cell proliferation, vas.ular regeneration, and programmed cell death.
