Echoes of the past:prevalence and correlates of pTSD among formerly abducted youths in northern Uganda:findings from the WAYS study

Synthesis,Crystal Structural and Electrical Conductivity properties of Fe-Doped Zinc Oxide powders at High Temperatures

The synthesis,crystal structure and electrical conductivity properties of Fe-doped ZnO powders（in the range of 0.25-15 mol%） were reported in this paper.I-phase samples,which were indexed as single phase with a hexagonal（wurtzite） structure in the Fe-doped ZnO binary system,were determined by X-ray diffraction（XRD）.The solubility limit of Fe in the ZnO lattice is 3 mol% at 950℃.The above mixed phase was *** the impurity phase was determined as the cubic-ZnFe 2 O 4 phase when compared with standard XRD data using the pDF *** study focused on single I-phase ZnO samples which were synthesized at 950℃ because the limit of the solubility range is the widest at this *** lattice parameters a and c of the I-phase decreased with Fe-doping *** morphology of the I-phase samples was analyzed with a scanning electron *** grain size of the I-phase samples increased with heat treatment and doping *** electrical conductivity of the pure ZnO and single I-phase samples was investigated using the four-probe dc method at 100-950℃ in air *** electrical conductivity values of pure ZnO,0.25 and 3 mol% Fe-doped ZnO samples at 100℃ were 2×10-6,1.7×10-3 and 6.3×10-4 ***-1,and at 950℃ they were 3.4,8.5 and 4 ***-1,respectively.

Effect of Doping and High-Temperature Annealing on the Structural and Electrical properties of Zn_(1-X)Ni_XO(0≤X≤0.15) powders

This paper reported the synthesis, crystal structure and electrical conductivity properties of Ni-doped ZnO powders （i.e. Zn1-xNixO binary system, X=0, 0.0025, 0.005, 0.0075 and in the range 0.01≤X〈0.15）. I- phase samples, which were indexed as single phase with a hexagonal （wurtzite） structure in the Zn1-xNixO binary system, were determined by X-ray diffraction （XRD）. The widest range of the I-phase was determined as 0≤X≤0.03 at 1200℃; above this range the mixed phase was observed. The impurity phase was determined as NiO when compared with standard XRD data, using the pDF program. We focused on single f-phase ZnO samples which were synthesized at 1200℃ because of the widest range of solubility limit at this temperature. It was observed that the lattice parameters a and c of the I-phase decreased with Ni doping concentration. The morphology of the I-phase samples was analyzed with a scanning electron microscope. The electrical conductivity of the pure ZnO and single I-phase samples were studied by using the four-probe dc method at temperatures between 100 and 950℃ in air atmosphere. The electrical conductivity values of pure ZnO and 3 mol% Ni-doped ZnO samples at 100℃C were 2×10^-6 and 4.8×10^-6 Ω-***^-1, and at 950℃ they were 1.8 and 3.6 Ω-1cm-1, respectively. In other words, electrical conductivity increased with Ni doping concentration.

Analysis of hourly generation patterns at large coal-fired units and implications of transitioning from baseload to load-following electricity supplier

Several factors have led to the decline of electricity generation from coal over the past decade, and projections forecast high rates of growth for wind and solar technologies in coming years. This analysis uses hourly generation data from large coal-fired power stations to determine how operations have been modified in recent years and describes the implications of these changes for plant equipment and unit reliability. The data shows increasing variability in intraday generation output that affects nearly all of the units in the sample, but the magnitude of increase varies widely among plants. Outage patterns were examined as was the relationship between renewable energy growth in a region and the changes in coal plant operations. Aggregate direct and indirect costs associated with running coal plants as load-following units have not yet been quantified in large-scale studies on a sector-wide basis, largely due to differences in how specific equipment responds to output fluctuations. Due to findings from the hourly generation data analysis and the high degree of potential impact on coal plant equipment, the study suggests the development of a new modeling tool that will represent the costs of running coal-fired power plants at lower capacity factors.

Recent progress of electromagnetic wave absorbers: A systematic review and bibliometric approach

The electromagnetic wave absorption capabilities of an absorber depend on its dielectric and magnetic compo- nents, which determine its interfacial polarization, conductivity loss, magnetic loss, and other such mechanisms. In this study, a comprehensive review of the electromagnetic wave and material interaction was conducted. Moreover, for a better understanding of the trends and evolutionary developments in the study of the electro- magnetic wave absorber, 23300 documents dated between 1990 and 2020 were examined, which were obtained from Scopus using the keywords of “electromagnetic wave absorption ”and “microwave absorption ”. The data search in Scopus was conducted using the related keywords in the search bar for titles and abstracts. These results demonstrate that the majority of research regarding electromagnetic wave absorbers was conducted in China, which was followed by the United States. The number of published documents regarding the electromagnetic wave absorption field significantly increased between 1990 and 2020;these documents were mostly published as journal articles. With respect to the journal activity, the most productive journal was the “Journal of Alloys and Compounds ”, with a total of 592 articles. In addition, graphene and titanium dioxide were determined to be the materials that were most studied in the field of electromagnetic wave absorption.

Evolving carbon dioxide emission rate intensities of coal-fired power plant on U.S. electricity operating systems

For many years, coal-fired power plant generation comprised the largest share of electricity in the *** sector. While natural gas plants now constitute a greater portion of the total, coal is projected to remain a shrinking but significant component of U.S. electricity production. Natural gas-fired technologies are dispatchable and versatile generation sources, but the recent and anticipated growth of wind and solar technologies will add nondispatchable, intermittent power generation sources to *** grids. Numerous emissions-related benefits arise from the deployment of these technologies, but they must coexist with coal plants, many of which run most efficiently under baseload operating procedures. Historical monthly emissions data has been analyzed on a sample of coal plants to show how modified coal operations have affected plant emission rates, as measured by carbon dioxide emitted per unit of electricity output. Statistically significant correlations between plant capacity factors and emission rate intensity have been observed by the majority of the sample, showing a worsening under more sporadic operations. Since nearly all of the coal plants in the sample are generating less electricity, determining the emission impact of operational decisions will assist policymakers as they seek to minimize total system emissions without severe disruptions to electricity cost and service reliability.

Spatial pattern analysis of post-fire damages in the Menderes District of Turkey

Forest fires,whether caused naturally or by human activity can have disastrous effects on the ***,located in the Mediterranean climate zone,experiences hundreds of forest fires every *** the past two decades,these fires have destroyed approximately 308000 ha of forest area,threatening the sustainability of its *** study analyzes the forest fire that occurred in the Menderes region of Izmir on July 1,2017,by using pre-and post-fire Sentinel 2(10 m and 20 m)and Landsat 8(30 m)satellite images,MODIS and VIIRS fire radiative power(FRp)data(1000 m and 375 m,respectively),and reference data obtained from a field ***,image processing techniques integrated with the Geographic Information System(GIS)database were applied to a satellite image data set to monitor,analyze,and map the effects of the forest *** results show that the land surface temperature(LST)of the burned forest area increased from 1 to 11°C.A high correlation(R=0.81)between LST and burn severity was also *** burned areas were calculated using two different classification methods,and their accuracy was compared with the reference *** to the accuracy assessment,the Sentinel(10 m)image classification gave the best result(96.43%for Maximum Likelihood,and 99.56%for Support Vector Machine).The relationship between topographical/forest parameters,burn severity and disturbance index was evaluated for spatial pattern *** to the results,the areas having canopy closure between 71%–100%and slope above 35%had the highest burn *** a final step,a spatial correlation analysis was performed to evaluate the effectiveness of MODIS and VIIRS FRp data in the postfire analysis.A high correlation was found between FRpslope,and FRp-burn severity(0.96 and 0.88,respectively).
