This study is using hMDSA (C6h19NSi2) or hMDSO (C6h18OSi2) vapor into C3h8/air premixed flames to form SiO2 thin film on the surface of an aluminum plate. With the addition of hMDSO or hMDSA to premixed flames, an orange secondary flame or a flame brush appeared and was contributed to the formation of Sio2 particles. Based upon the EDS, XPS and FTIR analysis, it is believed that the synthesized products consist of mainly SiO2 and a small amount of SiO. The pure SiO2 crystal structure, was proved by XRD analysis, which may form from the SiO2 amorphous structure after high temperature (1300C) thermal treatment. The nano-size SiO2 particles, which ranged from 2.5-25 nm, are proved by analysis of the BET and TEM. A 2-D CFD-RC code with 12 reduced chemical reaction mechanism, based upon the SIMPLER procedure, was successfully employed to predict the flame temperature and both of the SiO2 and SiO concentration profiles. Compared with the experimental results, the calculated temperature profiles in the post-flame region are in good agreement with the measured data and observation phenomena.

We demonstrate the transmission of directly modulated 10-Gb/s WDM signals over 320 km of negative dispersion fiber (dispersion: -2.5 ps/km/nm @1550 nm) without dispersion compensation. The results indicate that a regional metro WDM network could be implemented cost-effectively by using the proposed negative dispersion fiber and direct modulated lasers.

Transurethral resection of the prostate(TURP)became the gold standard surgical treatment for benign prostatic obstruction without undergoing randomized controlled trials against the predecessor standard in open suprapubic *** has historically been associated with significant morbidity and this has fuelled the development of minimally invasive surgical treatment *** in perioperative morbidity for TURP has been creating an ever increasing standard that must be met by any new technologies that are to be compared to this gold *** recent years,there has been the emergence of novel minimally invasive treatments such as the prostatic urethral lift(PUL;UroLift System),convective WAter Vapor Energy(WAVE;Rezum System),Aquablation(AQUABEAM System),histotripsy(Vortx Rx System)and temporary implantable nitinol device(TIND).Intraprostatic injections(NX-1207,PRX-302,botulinum toxin A,ethanol)have mostly been used with limited efficacy,but may be suitable for selected *** review evaluates these novel minimally invasive surgical options with special reference to the literature published in the past 5 years.

A pot experiment was conducted in a plastic film house to evaluate the translocation and uptake of heavy metals(Pb,Cd,Cu,and Zn) into brown rice(Oryza sativa L.) and the heavy metals residues in soils which had previously been irrigated with domestic wastewater for a long time(3 years).The range of Pb,Cd,Cu,and Zn was 5.10 ± 0.01,0.105 ± 0.017,5.76 ± 0.42,and 23.56 ± 1.40 mg kg-1,respectively in the domestic wastewater-irrigated soil,and 0.370 ± 0.006,0.011 ± 0.001,0.340 ± 0.04,and 2.05 ± 0.18 mg kg-1,respectively,in the domestic wastewater-irrigated brown *** results indicated that application of domestic wastewater to arable land slightly increased the levels of Pb,Cd,Cu,and Zn in soil and brown rice(P he concentrations of heavy metals in brown rice were lower than the recommended tolerable levels proposed by the Joint FAO/WhO Expert Committee on Food ***,the continuous monitoring and pollution control of hazardous materials from domestic wastewater are needed in order to prevent excessive build-up of heavy metals in the food chain.

A novel soluble ladderlike polysilsesquioxane containing reactive ester groups (Ester-T) was synthesized for the first time by stepwise coupling polymerization including preammonolysis, controlled hydrolysis and polycondensation. The monomer, 3-trichlorosilylpropoxy 4-acetoxybenzoate (M), was synthesized by hydrosilylation of allyloxy 4-acetoxybenzoate with trichlorosilane in the presence of dicyclopentadienylplatinum (II) chloride (Cp2PtCl2) catalyst. Combination of FTIR, h-1-NMR, C-13-NMR, Si-29-NMR, XRD, DSC, TGA and VPO methods was used to demonstrate that the polymer obtained has an ordered ladderlike structure. The synthesized Ester-T may have promising applications as a precursor of advanced functional polymers.

The effects of process variables such as enzyme types, enzyme ratio, reaction temperature, ph, time, and ethanol concentration on the extraction of unripe apple polyphenol were investigated. The results indicated that Viscozyme L had the strongest effect on polyphenols extraction and was selected to study the polyphenol composition. The ratio of enzyme （Viscozyme L） to sobstrate （2 fungal beta-glucanase units （FBG）） at 0.02, reaction at ph 3.7, 50℃ for 12 h, and ethanol concentration of 70% were chosen as the most favorable extraction condition. Total phenolic content （TPC）, reducing sugar content （RSC）, and extraction yield increased by about 3, 1.5, and 2 times, respectively, compared with control. The contents ofp-coumaric acid, ferulic acid, and caffeic acid increased to 8, 4, and 32 times, respectively. The enzyme-aided polyphenol extraction process from unripe apples might be applied to food industry for enhancing bioactive compound production.

AIM：To screen microRNAs（miRNAs） and set up target miRNAs in ***：Primary fibroblasts were isolated from pterygium and Tenon＇s capsule and *** analysis and Western blotting were performed to confirm the culture of *** all,1733 miRNAs were screened in the first step by using GeneChip miRNA3.0 *** miRNAs involved in the pathogenesis of pterygium were subsequently determined using the following criteria：1） high reproducibility in a repetitive test;2） base log value of 〉7.0 for both control and pterygial fibroblasts;and 3） log ratio of 〉1.0 between pterygial fibroblasts and control ***：Primary screening showed that 887/1733 miRNAs were up-regulated and 846/1733 miRNAs were down-regulated in pterygial fibroblasts compared with those in control *** the 1733 miRNAs screened,4 miRNAs,namely,miRNA-143a-3p,miRNA-181a-2-3p,miRNA-377-5p and miRNA-411a-5p,met the above-mentioned *** screening showed that these 4 miRNAs were up-regulated in pterygial fibroblasts compared with control fibroblasts and that miRNA-143a-3p had the highest mean ratio compared with the miRNAs in control ***：miRNA-143a-3p,miRNA-181a-2-3p,miRNA-377-5p and miRNA-411a-5p are up-regulated in pterygial fibroblasts compared with control fibroblasts,suggesting their involvement in the pathogenesis of pterygium.
