Risk Perception and Knowledge in fire Risk Reduction in a Dong Minority Rural Village in China: A Health-EDRM Education Intervention Study

fire is one of the major disasters in rural communities but evidence of the effectiveness of education interventions against fire risks is limited. this was a 2-year study assessed the effectiveness of face-to-face Health Emergency and Disaster Risk Management(HealthEDRM) education interventions for raising fire risk reduction knowledge in a fire-prone rural ethnic minority community. the study was conducted in various pre-set time points of an intervention-based project in a Dongbased community in Nanjiang Village, Guizhou Province in 2015 and 2016 to increase knowledge among the villagers about how to reduce general-and electrical-fire risks. Pre-and post-intervention questionnaires were used to evaluate the effectiveness of increasing fire risk-related knowledge through these interventions, immediately after the 2015 and 2016 interventions, and 17 months after the 2015 intervention. the knowledge of using fire blanket,recalling the correct emergency telephone number,unplugging unused electrical appliances, and not using water to extinguish electrical fires had immediately improved after the interventions. Subjects demonstrated a better understanding that fire blankets can fight a blaze if used appropriately, and that knowledge was sustained for 17 months. the interventions were effective in improving fire prevention and response knowledge. targeted interventions should be organized according to communities' culture, the evolution of economic prosperity and lifestyle practices.

Metabolic flexibility has emerged as a critical determinant of CD8+t-cell antitumor activity,yet the mechanisms driving the metabolic flexibility of t cells have not been *** this study,we investigated the influence of the nuclear cap-binding complex(CBC)adaptor protein ARS2 on mature t *** doing so,we discovered a novel signaling axis that endows activated CD8+t cells with flexibility of glucose ***2 upregulation driven by CD28 signaling reinforced splicing factor recruitment to pre-mRNAs and affected approximately one-third of t-cell activation-induced alternative splicing *** these effects,the CD28-ARS2 axis suppressed the expression of the M1 isoform of pyruvate kinase in favor of PKM2,a key determinant of CD8+t-cell glucose utilization,interferon gamma production,and antitumor effector ***,PKM alternative splicing occurred independently of CD28-driven PI3K pathway activation,revealing a novel means by which costimulation reprograms glucose metabolism in CD8+t cells.

Scalable Synthesis of Lif-rich 3D Architected Li Metal Anode via Direct Lithium-fluoropolymer Pyrolysis to Enable fast Li Cycling

Several news-catching episodes in developed and developing communities indicate adverse effects allegedly arisen consequential to the use of complementary medicine and herbal products from various ethnic groups. Since the early 1990s, the increasing interest in Chinese medicine (CM) outside China has created several headlines on the issues of the practice and use of CM in the West. the quality control (QC) and assurance (QA), safety and efficacy assessment of herbal products present several difficulties. these OtC products contain numerous chemical compounds whose identities, structures and bioactivities are often unrelated or *** on Lingzhi ( Ganoderma species) as an example, this paper proposes how we can produce good quality products from setting up standard operating procedures for Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) to obtain crude materials with acceptable constancy to finished products with QC/QA assessment. It is proposed that fingerprinting and pattern recognition techniques can be used as important steps to characterise the chemical and biological properties of herbal medicines and Lingzhi products for their QC/QA.

Lithium metal anode holds an important position in fast-charging *** lithium dendrite issues tend to exacerbate at high *** f can be considered as an effective way to improve the Li metal surface electrochemical stability to achieve high power and high ***,most of reported work are relying on in situ formation of a 2D Li f on Li metal in liquid electrolyte,which limits the scalability and plated Li ***,we address this challenge and report a scalable synthesis of Li f-rich 3D architected Li metal anode via a direct pyrolysis of molten lithium and fluoropolymer to enable fast Li charging with high current density(20 mA cm-2)and high areal capacity(20 m Ah cm-2).the 3D structure is synthesized by the pyrolysis of fluoropolymer with Li metal and results show high similarity to the pristine electrolyte-derived solid-electrolyte-interphase(SEI).this concept using pyrolysis of fluoropolymer with Li-containing active materials could be also extended to modify Li metal oxide cathode(e.g.,Li Ni0.5Mn1.5O4)for mixed conductive interphase and engineer Li solid ion conductors(e.g.,Li garnet-type oxides)for interface stabilization andframework design.

Parametric effect of moisture and influence of operating variables on the adsorption behaviour of polyaspartamide during CO2 capture was investigated in this study using experimental and modelling approach. Individual effects of operating conditions (e.g. pressure, temperature and gas flow rates) as well as the effect of moisture on the adsorption capacity of polyaspartamide were methodically investigated using Dubinin-Raduskevich model. Results from the investigations reveal that the presence of moisture in the flue gas had an incremental effect on the adsorption capacity of polyaspartamide;thereby showcasing the potential of polyaspartamide as a suitable hydrophilic material for CO2 capture in power plants. In addition, pressure, temperature and gas flow rates at 200 kPa, 403 K, and 1.5 mL/s, respectively, sig? nificantly influenced the CO2 adsorption capacity of polyaspartamide. Physisorption and chemisorption both governed the adsorption process while equilibrium studies at different temperatures showed that Langmuir isotherm could adequately describe the adsorption behaviour of the material with best fit with R^2>0.95.

Biomedical image processing is a hot research topic which helps to majorly assist the disease diagnostic *** the same time,breast cancer becomes the deadliest disease among women and can be detected by the use of different imaging *** mammograms can be used for the earlier identification and diagnostic of breast cancer to minimize the death *** the proper identification of breast cancer has mainly relied on the mammography findings and results to increased false *** resolving the issues of false positives of breast cancer diagnosis,this paper presents an automated deep learning based breast cancer diagnosis(ADL-BCD)model using digital *** goal of the ADL-BCD technique is to properly detect the existence of breast lesions using digital *** proposed model involves Gaussian filter based pre-processing and tsallis entropy based image *** addition,Deep Convolutional Neural Network based Residual Network(ResNet 34)is applied for feature extraction ***,a hyper parameter tuning process using chimp optimization algorithm(COA)is applied to tune the parameters involved in ResNet 34 *** wavelet neural network(WNN)is used for the classification of digital mammograms for the detection of breast *** ADL-BCD method is evaluated using a benchmark dataset and the results are analyzed under several performance *** simulation outcome indicated that the ADL-BCD model outperforms the state of art methods in terms of different measures.
