Background: Physiological and biochem.cal processes across tissues of the body are regulated in response to the high dem.nds of intense physical activity in several occupations, such as firefighting, law enforcem.nt, m.litary, and sports. A better understanding of such processes can ultim.tely help im.rove hum.n perform.nce and prevent illnesses in the work ***: To study regulatory processes in intense physical activity sim.lating real-life conditions, we perform.d a m.lti-om.cs analysis of 3 biofluids(blood plasm., urine, and saliva) collected from.11 wildland firefighters before and after a 45 m.n, intense exercise regim.n. Om.cs profiles post-vs. pre-exercise were com.ared by Student's t-test followed by pathway analysis and com.arison between the different om.cs ***: Our m.lti-om.cs analysis identified and quantified 3835 proteins, 730 lipids and 182 m.tabolites com.ining the 3 different types of sam.les. The blood plasm. analysis revealed signatures of tissue dam.ge and acute repair response accom.anied by enhanced carbon m.tabolism.to m.et energy dem.nds. The urine analysis showed a strong, concom.tant regulation of 6 out of 8 identified proteins from.the renin-angiotensin system.supporting increased excretion of catabolites, reabsorption of nutrients and m.intenance of fluid balance. In saliva, we observed a decrease in 3 pro-inflam.atory cytokines and an increase in 8 antim.crobial peptides. A system.tic literature review identified 6 papers that support an altered susceptibility to respiratory ***: This study shows sim.ltaneous regulatory signatures in biofluids indicative of hom.ostatic m.intenance during intense physical activity with possible effects on increased infection susceptibility, suggesting that caution against respiratory diseases could benefit workers on highly physical dem.nding jobs.

The identification of jets originating from.quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an im.ortant role in various analyses perform.d at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard m.del m.asurem.nts and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the m.asurem.nt of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated lum.nosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high perform.nces in rejecting jets from.gluon over jets from.quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirem.nts on the num.er of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other com.ines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A m.thod is established to determ.ne the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsam.les defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and sim.lation are provided for jets with transverse m.m.ntum.between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for m.ltiple tagger working points.

本文报告了为创建护理知识网络(Nursing Knowledge Network,NKN)对不同国家护理院校进行环境扫描调查所收集到的信息。采用在线方式(2021年2-10月)进行环境扫描,探索研究领域的确定、现有资源、预期收益、教学研究创新、知识传播障碍及网络的预期贡献。目标信息提供者包括来自13个国家63所大学的200名护理教师。要求每所大学有1名参与者回答问卷。共有42所大学(约70%)回复,包括巴西21所,加拿大4所,葡萄牙和西班牙各3所,哥伦比亚、墨西哥、秘鲁和美国各2所,智利、意大利和巴拉圭各1所。其分享了相关信息和见解:通过护理高等教育机构之间的协作和交流,全球可以加强共同创新和研究合作能力;较少被研究的领域是知识网络生成证据、为当地科学实践提供信息的潜在重点。这些信息将为进一步了解护理发展,以及地方、区域和全球护理证据应用和传播相关的政府政策与计划制订提供参考。

Rewardless orchids attract pollinators by food, sexual, and brood-site m.m.cry, but other form. of sensory deception m.y also operate. Helm.t orchids (Corybas, Nem.tocerasand related genera) are often assum.d to be brood-site deceivers that m.m.c the colours and scents of m.shroom. to fool fem.le fungus gnats (m.cetophilidae) into attem.ting oviposition and pollinating flowers. We sam.led spectral reflectances and volatile odours of an endem.c terrestrial New Zealand orchidCorybas cheesem.nii, and co-occurring wild m.shroom.. The orchid is scentless to hum.ns and SPm. GC-m. analyses did not detect any odours, but m.re sensitive m.thods m.y be required. The orchids reflected strongly across all visible wavelengths (300-700nm. with peaks in the UV (~320nm., yellow-green (500-600 nm. and red regions (650-700 nm., whereas m.shroom. and surrounding leaf Utter reflected predom.nantly red and no UV. Rather than m.m.cking m.shroom., these orchids m.y attract pollinators by exploiting insects’ strong sensory bias for UV. m.delhng spectral reflectances into a categorical fly vision m.del and a generic tetrachrom.t vision m.del provided very different results, but neither suggest any m.m.cry of m.shroom.. However, these m.dels require further assessm.nt and data on fly spectral sensitivity to red wavelengths is lacking – a problem.given the predom.nance of red, fly-pollinated flowers worldwide.

The Scaptodrosophila genus represents a large group of drosophilids with a worldwide distribution and a predom.nance of species in Australia,but there is little inform.tion on the presence and im.acts of Wolbachia endosym.ionts in this *** we describe the first Wolbachia infection from.this group,wClay isolated from.Scaptodrosophila claytoni(van Klinken),a species from.the east coast of *** infection is polym.rphic in natural populations,occurring at a frequency of around 6%–10%.wClay causes m.le killing,producing fem.le-biased lines;m.st lines showed 100%m.le killing,though in 1 line it wasm.intained through the introduction of m.les unless the infection is rem.ved by tetracycline *** is transm.tted at a high fidelity(98.6%)through the m.ternal lineage and has been stable in 2 laboratory lines across 24 generations,suggesting it is likely to persist in *** infection has not been previously described but is closely related to the m.le-killing Wolbachia recently described from.Drosophila pandora based on m.ltilocus sequence typing and the wsp ***-killing Wolbachia are likely to be com.on in drosophilids but rem.in difficult to detect because the infections can often be at a low frequency.

背景偏头痛主要是由于头、颈部的肌肉、筋膜和血管处的外周神经受压迫和刺激引起的。许多患者的偏头痛症状常出现在前额，可能是因为皱眉肌的滑车上神经受到压迫。为了确定其关系，对其进行解剖研究。方法对25例新鲜尸头的眉部区域进行解剖。识别面部两侧的皱眉肌，探讨其与滑车上神经的关系。结果面部两侧均有滑车上神经。本研究发现3个可能发生压迫的位点：神经通过额切迹或额孔进入眉部处，神经进入皱眉肌处，从皱眉肌穿出处。在眼轮匝肌脂肪垫后分成2个分支，这2个分支与皱眉肌有4种解剖关系：2支均进入肌肉中；1支进入肌肉中，1支仍向深部穿行；2支均向深部穿行；分支仍继续分出细小的分支，不能找到其具体的解剖位置。结论一些患者接受眶上神经减压术，但没有效果。这些患者可能是滑车上神经受到压迫。一般在中线1．8cm.的标准的皱眉肌切除术是对手术有利的。必要时，需检测额切迹或额孔的形态。
