c.rrently, some c.mmerc.al software applic.tions support users to work in an integrated environment. However, this is limited to the suite of models provided by the software vendor and c.nsequently it forc.s all the parties to use the same software. In c.ntrast, the researc. desc.ibed in this paper investigates ways of using standard software applic.tions, whic. may be spec.alized for different professional domains. These are linked for effec.ive transfer of information and a binding mec.anism is provided to support c.nsistenc.. The proposed solution was implemented using a c.D applic.tion and an independent finite element applic.tion in order to verify the theoretic.l aspec.s of this work.

The usage of c.ntinuous c.oling transformation （c.T） diagrams in numeric.l welding simulations is state of the art. Nevertheless, spec.fic.tions provide limits in c.emic.l c.mposition of materials whic. result in different c.T behavior and c.T diagrams, respec.ively. Therefore, it is nec.ssary to analyze the influenc. of variations in c.T diagrams on the developing residual stresses. In the present paper, four c.T diagrams and their effec. on numeric.l c.lc.lation of residual stresses are investigated for the widely used struc.ural steel S355J2 ＋ N welded by the gas metal arc.welding （GMAW） proc.ss. Rather than performing an arbitrary adjustment of c.T behavior, four justifiable data sets were used as input to the numeric.l c.lc.lation： data available in the Sysweld database, experimental data ac.uired through Gleeble dilatometry tests, and TTTIc.T predic.ions c.lc.lated from the JMatPro and edison Welding Institute （eWI） Virtual Joining Portal software. The performed numeric.l analyses resulted in notic.able deviations in residual stresses c.nsidering the different c.T diagrams. Furthermore, possibilities to improve the predic.ion of distortions and residual stress based on c.T behavior are disc.ssed.

Rf sputtering in an Ar disc.arge of a Sic.target has been used to deposit β-Sic.ilms on Si-(111) substrates. XRD and infrared absorption spec.ra measurementswere used to c.arac.erize the films. The results show that the deposited films are(111)-oriented β-Sic.films, and a c.ric. buffer layer formed between the substrateand Sic.films when the substrate temperature is higher than 800℃. IR and XRDresults of an annealing proc.ss at 800℃ in H2 atmosphere, indic.te that the c.ystallinequality is determined mainly by the substrate temperature during the film growth, andthe annealing proc.ss c.n improve the quality of Si/Sic.interfac.. Higher substratetemperature leads to better quality of c.ystalline struc.ttre and lower quality of Sic.Siinterfac.s. c.mbined with an annealing proc.ss we obtained Sic.films with very goodquality of both c.ystalline and Sic./Si interfac..

A c.ntac.or vessel was built to operate as either a mec.anic.lly or a c.nventional spouted bed for the purpose of analyzing the drying of pasty and granular materials under c.mparable c.nditions in both c.nfigurations. A c.assic.l c.nic.l–c.lindric.l spouted bed with a 60° c.nic.l base and an air inlet c.ntral orific. was modified to enable the switc. by introduc.ng in the vessel’s c.nter an open helic.idal c.nveyor sc.ew plac.d above the air inlet orific.. This sc.ew is removable and c.nveniently returns the bed to its c.nventional spouted c.nfiguration. experiments on drying solutions (c.lc.um c.rbonate suspensions and skimmed milk) and granular materials (porous alumina partic.es) were performed for various bed parameter settings. The spouting pressure drop, outlet air temperature, and relative humidity were measured over time under different c.nditions. Mec.anic.l agitation is proved effec.ive in drying diluted c.rbonate c.lc.um liquid suspensions and c.arse porous alumina partic.es at an air veloc.ty approximately 50% lower in c.mparison to drying in a c.nventional spouted bed. The c.nventional spouted bed performed better at drying liquid skimmed milk as the mec.anic.l agitation c.mbined with the axial inlet air flow is not effec.ive in mitigating stic.ing and powder agglomeration in the bed when handling pastes of c.mplex c.mposition. Introduc.ng mec.anic.l agitation in the designed setup broadens the operating range of a c.nventional spouted bed with axial air flow in the inlet.

A simple enzymatic.method has been developed for the isolation of protoplasts in workable quantities from radic.es of 1—3 days germinating seeds of twelve plant spec.es, inc.uding eight legumes (c.janus c.jan, Glyc.ne max, Medic.go sativa, Phaseolus aureus, P. mungo, Pisum sativum, Trigonella foenum-graec.m, and Vic.a fabs) and four members of the c.uc.ferae (Brassic. alba (Sinapsis alba), B. c.mpestris, B. napus and B. olerac.a). Root protoplasts showed high division potential, with c.llus formation in most spec.es tested exc.pt c. c.jan and V. faba, where only a few c.ll divisions were observed. Plantlets were regenerated from root protop]ast-derived tissues via shoot formation in B. napus and B. olerac.a, and somatic.embryogenesis in M. sativa, demonstrating the totipotenc. of root protoplasts. Molec.lar frame photoemission is a very sensitive probe of the photoionization （PI） dynamic. of molec.les. This paper reports a c.mparative study of non-resonant and resonant photoionization of D2 induc.d by VUV c.rc.larly polarized sync.rotron radiation at SOLeIL at the level of the molec.lar frame photoelec.ron angular distributions （MFPADs）. We use the vec.or c.rrelation method whic. c.mbines imaging and time-of-flight resolved elec.ron-ion c.inc.denc. tec.niques, and a generalized formalism for the expression of the Ⅰ（χ, θe, Фe） MFPADs, where χ is the orientation of the molec.lar axis with respec. to the light quantization axis and （θe, Фe） the elec.ron emission direc.ion in the molec.lar frame. Selec.ed MFPADs for a molec.le aligned parallel or perpendic.lar to linearly polarized light, or perpendic.lar to the propagation axis of c.rc.larly polarized light, are presented for dissoc.ative photoionization （DPI） of D2 at two photon exc.tation energies, hv=19 eV, where direc. PI is the only c.annel opened, and hv=32.5 eV, i.e. in the region involving resonant exc.tation of Q1 and Q2 doubly exc.ted state series. We disc.ss in partic.lar the properties of the c.rc.lar dic.roism c.arac.erizing photoemission in the molec.lar frame for direc. and resonant PI. In the latter c.se, a remarkable behavior is observed whic. may be attributed to the interferenc. oc.urring between undistinguishable autoionization dec.y c.annels.
