Efficacy and safety of perioperative therapy for locally resectable gastric cancer:A network meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials

BACKGROUND Gastric cancer(GC)is the fifth most commonly diagnosed malignancy worldwide,with over 1 million new cases per year,and the third leading cause of cancer-related *** To determine the optimal perioperative treatment regimen for patients with locally resectable *** A comprehensive literature search was conducted,focusing on phase II/III randomized controlled trials(RCTs)assessing perioperative chemotherapy and chemoradiotherapy in treating locally resectable *** R0 resection rate,overall survival(OS),disease-free survival(DFS),and incidence of grade 3 or higher nonsurgical severe adverse events(SAEs)associated with various perioperative regimens were analyzed.A Bayesian network meta-analysis was performed to compare treatment regimens and rank their *** Thirty RCTs involving 8346 patients were included in this *** XELOX plus neoadjuvant radiotherapy and neoadjuvant CF were found to significantly improve the R0 resection rate compared with surgery alone,and the former had the highest probability of being the most effective option in this *** plus adjuvant FLOT was associated with the highest probability of being the best regimen for improving *** to limited data,no definitive ranking could be determined for *** nonsurgical SAEs,FLO has emerged as the safest treatment *** This study provides valuable insights for clinicians when selecting perioperative treatment regimens for patients with locally resectable *** studies are required to validate these findings.

The exact solutions for the propagation of Love waves in one-dimensional(1D)hexagonal piezoelectric quasicrystal(PQC)nanoplates with surface effects are *** electro-elastic model is developed to investigate the anti-plane strain problem of Love wave *** introducing three shape functions,the wave equations and electric balance equations are decoupled into three uncorrelated *** the boundary conditions of the top surface on the covering layer,the interlayer interface,and the matrix,a dispersive equation with the influence of multi-physical field coupling is provided.A surface PQC model is developed to investigate the surface effects on the propagation behaviors of Love waves in quasicrystal(QC)multilayered structures with nanoscale thicknesses.A novel dispersion relation for the PQC structure is derived in an explicit closed form according to the non-classical mechanical and electric boundary *** examples are given to reveal the effects of the boundary conditions,stacking sequence,characteristic scale,and phason fluctuation characteristics on the dispersion curves of Love waves propagating in PQC nanoplates with surface effects.

Strong Edge Coloring of Outerplane Graphs with Independent Crossings

A graph is outer-1-planar if it can be drawn in the plane so that all vertices lie on the outer-face and each edge crosses at most one another *** is known that every outer-1-planar graph is a planar *** this paper,we conjecture that every planar graph G has a proper incidence(Δ(G)+2)-coloring and confirm it for outer-1-planar graphs with maximum degree at least 8 or with girth at least ***,we prove that every outer-1-planar graph G has an incidence(Δ(G)+3,2)-coloring,and every outer-1-planar graph G with maximum degree at least 8 or with girth at least 4 has an incidence(Δ(G)+2,2)-coloring.

Construction of multifunctional lanthanum manganese mixed nanoparticles mediated by ionic liquids for selective aerobic oxidation of cyclohexane

Selective oxidation of alkanes to produce highvalue chemicals is an essential strategy and means to realize efficient utilization of *** this work,a strategy of lanthanum manganese mixed metal oxides(LMMO)regulated via a facile ionic liquid(IL)-assisted hydrothermal method was proposed to construct the multifunctional catalysts,which exhibited excellent catalytic performance in the selective aerobic oxidation of *** 8.9%cyclohexane conversion with 90%KA oi(cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone)selectivity was achieved over the optimal LMMO catalyst under mild *** effects of anion type,carbon chain length and concentration of ILs on the structure and properties of catalysts were investigated through various characterizations,indicating the structure-directing and template effect of ILs on the multifunctional *** formation of self-assembled spherical nanoparticles followed the"dissolution-nucleation-proliferation"mechanism with the introduction of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hydrogen sulfate,ascribing the synergistic effect between the microenvironment of ILs and the hydrothermal ***,the high reactive oxygen concentration redox capacity,and suitable basic sites of LMMO catalysts mediated by ILs enhance the activation of C-H bonds and molecular oxygen,simultaneously influencing the adsorption and desorption of the substrate.A comprehensive understanding of the high KA oil selectivity and radical reaction mechanism was elucidated based on in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy(DRIFTS)and radical trapping *** recycling and regeneration experiments further illuminated that the removal of adsorbed cyclohexanone acting on the LMMO catalyst was the key to achieve high KA oil selectivity.

Berberine Enhances Intestinal Mucosal Barrier Function by Promoting Vitamin D Receptor Activity

Objective:To evaluate if berberine can act on vitamin D receptors(VDR)and thereby regulate the expression of tight junction proteins(TJPs)in irritable bowel syndrome-diarrhea-predominant(IBS-D)***:The newborn rats were induced into IBS-D rat model via neonatal maternal separation combined with acetic acid chemical *** modeling,the model was evaluated and rats were divided into the control group and berberine treatment groups(0.85,1.7 and 3.4 mg/kg,once a day for 2 weeks).The distal colon was obtained and colonic epithelial cells(CECs)were isolated and cultured after IBS-D model *** vitamin D receptor response element(VDRE)reporter gene was determined in the CECs of IBS-D rats to analyze the effect of berberine on the VDRE *** overexpression or silencing technology was used to analyze whether VDR plays a role in promoting intestinal barrier repair,and to determine which region of VDR plays a role in berberine-regulated intestinal ***:The IBS-D rat model was successfully constructed and the symptoms were improved by berberine in a dose-dependent manner(P<0.05).The activity of VDRE promoter was also effectively promoted by berberine(P<0.05).Berberine increased the expression of TJPs in IBS-D CECs(P<0.05).VDR expression was significantly increased after transfection of different domains of VDR when compared to normal control and basic plasmid groups(all P<0.05).RT-qPCR and Western blot results showed that compared with the blank group,expressions of occludin and zonula occludens-1 were significantly higher in VDR containing groups(all P<0.05).Berberine plus pCMV-Myc-VDR-N group exerted the highest expression levels of occludin and zonula occludens-1(P<0.05).Conclusion:Berberine enhances intestinal mucosal barrier function of IBS-D rats by promoting VDR activity,and the main site of action is the N-terminal region of VDR.

Adaptive Control of Accumulative Error for Nonlinear Chaotic Systems

We present an adaptive control scheme of accumulative error to stabilize the unstable fixed point for chaotic systems which only satisfies local Lipschitz condition, and discuss how the convergence factor affects the convergence and the characteristics of the final control strength. We define a minimal local Lipschitz coefficient, which can enlarge the condition of chaos control. Compared with other adaptive methods, this control scheme is simple and easy to implement by integral circuits in practice. It is also robust against the effect of noise. These are illustrated with numerical examples.

Sensing properties and mechanisms of LaF_(3)-Co_(3)O_(4) nanorods for low-concentration methanol detection

Methanol is one of the characteristic gases that distinguish between healthy individuals and lung cancer(LC)lesions in exhaled human *** concentration in exhaled breath is generally below one part per million(1×10^(-6)).The second-phase composite is widely regarded as one of the methods to improve the gas-sensing perfor-mance of metal oxide semiconductor(MOS)*** this study,LaF_(3)-Co_(3)O_(4) was synthesized by a simple hydrothermal method to enhance its low-concentration methanol gas-sensing performance.5 at%LaF_(3)-Co_(3)O_(4) nanorods exhibited excellent methanol detection performance,including a wider linear detection concentration range(0.2×10^(-6)~5×10^(-6)),a response value exceeding 4.0 for 1×10^(-6)methanol at 275°C and 75%relative humidity(RH),long-term stability(maximum deviation within 15%over 2 weeks),and excellent *** mechanism of performance enhancement was studied using various techniques,and density functional *** special spinel structure of Co_(3)O_(4),the high ionic migration of F-in LaF_(3),the larger specific surface area of 5 at%LaF_(3)-Co_(3)O_(4) nanorods,and the generated crystal defects all explain the excellentmethanol gas-sensing *** work provides a novel route to prepare MOS composite materials for low-concentration methanol gas detection.

Simulation study on cuttings transport of the backreaming operation for long horizontal section wells

The backreaming operation plays a significant role in safe drilling for horizontal wellbores, while it may cause severe stuck pipe accidents. To lower the risk of the stuck pipe in backreaming operations, the mechanism of cuttings transport needs to be carefully investigated. In this research, a transient cuttings transport with multiple flow patterns model is developed to predict the evolution of cuttings transported in the annulus while backreaming. The established model can provide predictions of the distribution of cuttings bed along the wellbore considering the bulldozer effect caused by large-size drilling tools(LSDTs). The sensitivity analyses of the size of LSDTs, and backreaming operating parameters are conducted in Section 4. And a new theory is proposed to explain the mechanism of cuttings transport in the backreaming operation, in which both the bit and LSDTs have the “cleaning effect” and “plugging effect”.The results demonstrate that the cuttings bed in annuli is in a state of dynamic equilibrium, but the overall trend and the distribution pattern are obvious. First, larger diameters and longer drilling tools could lead to a higher risk of the stuck pipe. Second, we find that it is not the case that the higher flow rate is always better for hole cleaning, so three flow-rate intervals are discussed separately under the given conditions. When the “dangerous flow rate”(35 L/s in Case 4),the higher the flow rate, the better the cleaning effect of cuttings beds. Third, an interval of tripping velocity called “dangerous velocity” is proposed, in which the cuttings bed accumulation near the LSDTs is more serious than

Strong Antiferromagnetic Exchange-Coupling Observed in Hydride-Bridged Dimeric Dysprosium(Ⅲ)Single-Molecule Magnet

One dihydride-bridged dimeric Dy(Ⅲ)guanidinate complex,formulated as[{(Me_(3)Si)_(2)NC(NiPr)_(2)}_(2)Dy(μ-H)]_(2)(1Dy),was successfully isolated and the introduction of hydride bridges significantly reduces the intramolecular Dy(Ⅲ)…Dy(Ⅲ)distance to only 3.688(1)Å.To investigate the effect of such a short Dy(Ⅲ)…Dy(Ⅲ)distance on magnetism,we also prepared its dibromide-bridged analogue[{(Me_(3)Si)_(2)NC(NiPr)_(2)}_(2)Dy(μ-Br)]_(2)(2Dy),which has a much longer Dy(Ⅲ)…Dy(Ⅲ)distance of 4.605(4)Å.Surprisingly,2Dy demonstrates much larger effective energy barrier for magnetization reversal(U_(eff))and higher blocking temperature(T_(B)).The worse performance of 1Dy is attributed to the concerted effect of strong antiferromagnetic interactions between Dy(Ⅲ)ions(J_(total)=–2.683 cm^(–1))and the unparallel arrangement of magnetic principle axes of the Dy(Ⅲ)ions for 1Dy.
