First wetland mapping at 10-m spatial resolution in South America using multi-source and multi-feature remote sensing data

wetland degradation has been accelerating in recent years globally. Accurate information on the geographic distribution and categories of wetlands is essential for their conservation and management. Despite being the world′s fourth largest continent, South America has limited research on wetland mapping, and there is currently no available map that provides comprehensive information on wetland distribution and categories in the region. To address this issue, we used Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2 and SRTM data, developed a sample collection method and a wetland mapping method with a collection of multi-source features such as optical features, polarization features and shape features for South American wetlands. we produced a 10-m resolution wetland map based on the Google Earth Engine(GEE) platform. Our Level-1 wetland cover map accurately captured six wetland sub-categories with an overall accuracy of 96.24% and a kappa coefficient of 0.8649, w.ile our Level-2 water cover map included five sub-categories with an overall accuracy of 97.23% and a kappa coefficient of0.9368. The results show that the total area of existing wetlands in South America is approximately 1,737,000 km~2, w.ich is6.8% of the total land area. Among the ten wetland categories, shallow sea had the largest area(960,527.4 km~2), w.ile aquaculture ponds had the smallest area 1513.6 km~2. Swamp had the second largest area(306,240.1 km~2). Brazil, Argentina,Venezuela, Bolivia, and Colombia were found to have the largest wetland areas, with Brazil and Colombia having the most diverse wetland categories. This product can serve as baseline data for subsequent monitoring, management, and conservation of South American wetlands.

A Post-Quantum Cross-Domain Authentication Scheme Based on Multi-Chain Architecture

Due to the rapid advancements in network technology,blockchain is being employed for distributed data *** the internet of Things(ioT)scenario,different participants manage multiple blockchains located in different trust domains,w.ich has resulted in the extensive development of cross-domain authentication ***,the emergence of many attackers equipped with quantum computers has the potential to launch quantum computing attacks against cross-domain authentication schemes based on traditional cryptography,posing a significant security *** response to the aforementioned challenges,our paper demonstrates a post-quantum cross-domain identity authentication scheme to negotiate the session key used in the cross-chain asset exchange ***,our paper designs the hiding and recovery process of user identity index based on lattice cryptography and introduces the identity-based signature from lattice to construct a post-quantum cross-domain authentication ***,our paper utilizes the hashed time-locked contract to achieves the cross-chain asset exchange of blockchain nodes in different trust ***,the security analysis reduces the security of the identity index and signature to Learning with Errors(LwE)and Short integer Solution(SiS)assumption,respectively,indicating that our scheme has post-quantum *** but not least,through comparison analysis,we display that our scheme is efficient compared with the cross-domain authentication scheme based on traditional cryptography.

A series of emission reduction measures were conducted in wuhan,Central China,to ensure good air quality during the 7th Military world Games(MwG)in October *** better understand the implications for ozone(O_(3))pollution control strategies,we applied integrated analysis approaches based on the de-weathered statistical model,parameterization methods,chemical box model,and positive matrix factorization *** the MwG,concentrations of O_(3),NO_x,and volatile organic compound(VOCs),OFP(O_(3)formation potential),L_(OH)(OH radical loss rate)were 83μg/m^(3),43μg/m^(3),26 ppbv,188μg/m^(3),and 3.9 s^(-1),respectively,w.ich were 26%,18%,3%,15%,and 13%lower than pre-MwG values and 6%,39%,30%,33%,and 50%lower than post-MwG values,*** removing meteorological influence,O_(3)and its precursors during the MwG decreased largely compared with post-MwG values,and only O_(3),NO_(2),and oxygenated VOCs(OVOCs)declined compared with pre-MwG values,w.ich revealed the emission reduction measures during the MwG played an important role for O_(3)*** six VOCs sources,the mass contributions of biomass burning and solvents usage during the MwG decreased largely compared with pre-MwG values.O_(3)production was sensitive to VOCs and the key species were aromatics,OVOCs,and alkenes,w.ich originated mainly from solvents usage,biomass burning,industrial-related combustion,and vehicle *** O_(3)concentration during the strict control was mainly caused by OVOCs reduction due to biomass burning ***,the O_(3)abatement strategies of wuhan should be focused on the mitigation of high-reactivity VOCs.

Previous studies on genetic diseases predominantly focused on protein-coding variations, overlooking the vast noncoding regions in the human genome. The development of high-throughput sequencing technologies and functional genomics tools has enabled the systematic identification of functional noncoding variants. These variants can impact gene expression, regulation, and chromatin conformation, thereby contributing to disease pathogenesis. Understanding the mechanisms that underlie the impact of noncoding variants on genetic diseases is indispensable for the development of precisely targeted therapies and the implementation of personalized medicine strategies. The intricacies of noncoding regions introduce a multitude of challenges and research opportunities. in this review, we introduce a spectrum of noncoding variants involved in genetic diseases, along with research strategies and advanced technologies for their precise identification and in-depth understanding of the complexity of the noncoding genome. we will delve into the research challenges and propose potential solutions for unraveling the genetic basis of rare and complex diseases.

Three Types of isocoumarins with Unusual Carbon Skeletons from Artemisia dubia var. subdigitata and Their Antihepatoma Activity

Ten novel isocoumarins,including four pairs of enantiomers,were isolated from Artemisia dubia ***(Asteraceae).Compounds 1,2 and 3a/3b possessed a unique 6/6/6-tricyclic system comprising an unusual 1-(2-methylcyclohexyl)propan-1-one moiety fused with isocoumarin core *** 4a/4b were characterized as an unexpected 2,5-dimethylcyclohexan-1-one scaffold,and compounds 5a/5b and 6a/6b were rare 1,*** structures and absolute configurations were elucidated through spectroscopic data,X-ray crystallography,ECD and NMR calculations with DP4+*** biosynthetic pathways were proposed from the naturally occurring *** pharmacological analysis suggested that the targets of compound 1 were significantly enriched in the cell cycle and Pl3K-Akt signaling *** molecular docking revealed that compound 1 had high binding affinity with CDK2(total score:6.8717).Furthermore,compounds 1 and 2 exhibited inhibitory activity on three human hepatoma cell lines,with inhibitory ratios of 85.1% and 84.5%(HepG2),88.2% and 87.3%(Huh7),and 69.2% and 69.1%(SK-Hep-1)at 200μmol·L^(-1),respectively.

Revealing precipitation behavior and mechanical response of wire-arc directed energy deposited Mg-Gd-Y-Zr alloy by tailoring aging procedures

Mg-Gd-Y-Zr alloy,as a typical magnesium rare-earth(Mg-RE)alloy,is gaining popularity in the advanced equipment manufacturing fields owing to its noticeable age-hardening properties and high specific ***,it is extremely challenging to prepare wrought components with large dimensions and complex shapes because of the poor room-temperature processability of Mg-Gd-Y-Zr ***,we report a wire-arc directed energy deposited(DED)Mg-10.45Gd-2.27Y-0.52Zr(wt.%,Gw102K)alloy with high RE content presenting a prominent combination of strength and ductility,realized by tailored nanoprecipitates through an optimized heat treatment ***,the solution-treated sample exhibits excellent ductility with an elongation(EL)of(14.6±0.1)%,w.ile the aging-treated sample at 200°C for 58 h achieves an ultra-high ultimate tensile strength(UTS)of(371±1.5)***,the aging-treated sample at 250°C for 16 h attains a good strength-ductility synergy with a UTS of(316±2.1)MPa and a EL of(8.5±0.1)%.Particularly,the evolution mechanisms of precipitation response induced by various aging parameters and deformation behavior caused by nanoprecipitates type were also systematically *** excellent ductility resulted from coordinating localized strains facilitated by active slip *** the ultra-high strength should be ascribed to the dense nano-β'hampering dislocation ***,the shearable nano-β1 contributed to the good strength-ductility *** work thus offers insightful understanding into the nanoprecipitates manipulation and performance tailoring for the wire-arc DED preparation of large-sized Mg-Gd-Y-Zr components with complex geometries.
