The li-Mg-B-H composite(2liBH_(4)+MgH_(2))has a high capacity of 11.4 wt%as a hydrogen storage ***,the slow kinetics and poor cycling stability severely restrict its practical *** this work,a layered Nb_(2)C MXene was first synthesized and then introduced to tailor the kinetics and cycling stability of the li-Mg-B-H *** milled 2liH+MgB_(2)composites were initially hydrogenated to obtain the 2liBH_(4)+MgH_(2)*** 2liBH_(4)+MgH_(2)+5wt%Nb_(2)C can release 9.0 wt%H_(2)in 30 min at 400℃,while it is only 2.7 wt%for the undoped 2liBH_(4)+MgH_(2).The dehydrogenation activation energies of MgH_(2)and liBH_(4)are 123 and 154 kJ·mol^(-1)respectively for the 5 wt%Nb_(2)C-doped composite,lower than the undoped composite(164 and 165 kJ·mol^(-1)).The 2liBH_(4)+MgH_(2)+5 wt%Nb_(2)C possesses excellent cycling stability,with the reversible capacity only slightly reduced from 9.4 wt%for the 1st cycle to 9.3 wt%for the 20th ***_(2)C keeps stable in the composite and acts as an efficient catalyst for the li-Mg-B-H *** is believed that both the layered structure and the active Nb element contribu te to the enhanced hydrogen storage performances of the li-Mg-B-H *** work confirms that the Nb_(2)C MXene with layered stru cture has a significant enhancing impact on the li-Mg-B-H hydrogen storage materials,which is different from the bulk NbC.

Priority effects of forbs arriving early:the role of root interaction and asymmetric competition

Background The priority effect of plant arrival is a key driver of community assembly and ecosystem succession during the restoration of degraded plant communities. However, the significance of the arrival order of different plant functional groups and their interactions with community assemblies remains unclear. Using a phytotron experiment with three fully crossed factors, we investigated the underlying mechanisms of priority effects and their relationships with the biomass and biodiversity effects in mixed plant communities by manipulating the order of arrival of species, isolation of roots, and removal of specific *** The results showed that the strength and direction of priority effects were influenced by arrival order, root interactions, asymmetric competition among species, and their interactions. The identities of early and late-sown species also determined the magnitude of priority effects. The priority effects were stronger in grass-first(24.76%) and legume-first communities(24.48%) than in forb-first communities. The pot biomass of the different priority treatments was highest in grass-first(5.85 g), followed by legume-first(3.94 g) and forb-first(2.48 g). The order of arrival in the mixture significantly affected the net biodiversity effects(P lies. Rapid prediction of damaged ship roll motion responses in beam waves based on stacking algorithm

Accurate modeling for highly non-linear coupling of a damaged ship with liquid sloshing in waves is still of considerable interest within the computational fluid dynamics(CFD)and AI *** paper describes a data-driven Stacking algorithm for fast prediction of roll motion response amplitudes in beam waves by constructing a hydrodynamics model of a damaged ship based on the dynamic overlapping grid CFD *** general idea is to optimize various parameters varying with four types of classical base models like multi-layer perception,support vector regression,random forest,and hist gradient boosting *** offers several attractive properties in terms of accuracy and efficiency by choosing the standard DTMB 5415 model with double damaged compartments for *** is clearly demonstrated that the predicted response amplitude operator(RAO)in the regular beam waves agrees well with the experimental data available,which verifies the accuracy of the established damaged ship hydrodynamics *** high-quality CFD samples,therefore,implementation of the designed Stacking algorithm with its optimal combination can predict the damaged ship roll motion amplitudes effectively and accurately(e.g.,the coefficient of determination 0.9926,the average absolute error 0.0955 and CPU 3s),by comparison of four types of typical base models and their various ***,the established Stacking algorithm provides one potential that can break through problems involving the time-consuming and low efficiency for large-scale lengthy CFD simulations.

Unveiling the size effect of nitrogen-doped carbon-supported copper-based catalysts on nitrate-to-ammonia electroreduction

The electrocatalytic nitrate reduction reaction(NitRR)represents a promising approach toward achieving economically and environmentally sustainable ***,it remains a challenge to regulate the size effect of electrocatalysts to optimize the catalytic activity and ammonia ***,the Cu-based catalysts were tailored at the atomic level to exhibit a size gradient ranging from single-atom catalysts(SACs,0.15–0.35 nm)to single-cluster catalysts(SCCs,1.0–2.8 nm)and nanoparticles(NPs,20–30 nm),with the aim of studying the size effect for the NO_(3)^(-)-to-NH_(3) reduction ***,the Cu SCCs exhibit enhanced metal–substrate and metal–metal interactions by taking advantageous features of Cu SACs and Cu ***,Cu SCCs achieve exceptional electrocatalytic performance for the NitRR with a maximum Faradaic efficiency of ca.96%NH_(3)and the largest yield rate of ca.1.99 mg·h^(-1)·cm^(-2) at-0.5 V *** hydrogen electrode(RHE).The theoretical calculation further reveals the size effect and coordination environment on the high catalytic activity and selectivity for the *** work provides a promising various size-controlled design strategy for aerogel-based catalysts effectively applied in various electrocatalytic reactions.

Efficient charge-carrier injection and transport in organic light-emitting devices(OLEDs)are essential to simultaneously achieving their high efficiency and long-term ***,the charge-transporting layers(CTLs)deposited by various vapor or solution processes are usually in amorphous forms,and their low charge-carrier mobilities,defectinduced high trap densities and inhomogeneous thickness with rough surface morphologies have been obstacles towards high-performance ***,organic single-crystalline(SC)films were employed as the hole-transporting layers(HTLs)instead of the conventional amorphous films to fabricate highly efficient and stable *** highmobility and ultrasmooth morphology of the SC-HTLs facilitate superior interfacial characteristics of both HTL/electrode and HTL/emissive layer interfaces,resulting in a high Haacke’s figure of merit(FoM)of the ultrathin top electrode and low series-resistance joule-heat loss ratio of the ***,the thick and compact SC-HTL can function as a barrier layer against moisture and oxygen *** a result,the SC-OLEDs show much improved efficiency and stability compared to the OLEDs based on amorphous or polycrystalline HTLs,suggesting a new strategy to developing advanced OLEDs with high efficiency and high stability.

We present a qubit-loss-free(QLF)fusion scheme for generating large-scale atom W states in cavity quantum electrodynamics(QED)*** to the most current fusion schemes which are conditioned on the case where one particle can be extracted from each initial W state to the fusion process,our scheme will access one or two particles from each W *** on the atom–cavity-field detuned interaction,three jWin+m+t states can be generated from the jWin,jWim,and jWit states with the help of two auxiliary atoms,and three jWin+m+t+q states can be generated from jWin,jWim,jWit,and a jWiq state with the help of three auxiliary *** the numerical simulations of the resource cost of fusing three small-size W states based on the previous schemes,our fusion scheme seems to be more *** QLF fusion scheme can be generalized to the case of fusing k different or identical particle W ***,with no qubit loss,it greatly reduces the number of fusion steps and prepares W states with larger particle numbers.

Compensated acceleration feedback based active disturbance rejection control for launch vehicles

In this paper, the attitude tracking and load relief control problems against wind disturbances and uncertain aerodynamics as well as the engine thrust of launch vehicles are ***, a framework of Compensated Acceleration Feedback based Active Disturbance Rejection Control(CAF-ADRC) is established to achieve both desired attitude tracking and load relief performances. In particular, the total disturbance that includes the effects caused by both aerocoefficient perturbations and disturbances is estimated by constructing an Extended State Observer(ESO) to achieve attitude tracking. Furthermore, combined with the normal acceleration due to the engine thrust, the accelerometer measurement is also compensated to enhance the load relief ***, the quantitative analysis of ESO and the entire closed-loop system are studied. It can be concluded that the desired attitude tracking and load relief performances can be achieved simultaneously under the proposed approach. Besides, tuning laws of the proposed approach are systematically given, which are divided into ESO, Proportional Derivative(PD) and Compensated Acceleration Feedback(CAF) modules. Moreover, the performances under CAF-ADRC approach can be better than those under CAF based PD(CAF-PD) approach by tuning load relief ***, the approach presented is applied to a typical control problem of launch vehicles with wind disturbances and parameter uncertainties.
