Active source seismic imaging on near-surface granite body:case study of siting a geological disposal repository for high-level radioactive nuclear waste

In order to research whether it is suitable to set a geological disposal repository for high-level radioactive nuclear waste into one target granite body,two active source seismic profles were arranged near a small town named Tamusu,Western *** study area is with complex surface conditions,thus the seismic exploration encountered a variettraveltimey of technical difculties such as crossing obstacles,de-noising harmful scattered waves,and building complex near-surface velocity *** order to address those problems,techniques including cross-obstacle seismic geometry design,angle-domain harmful scattered noise removal,and an acoustic wave equation-based inversion method jointly utilizing both the and waveform of frst arrival waves were *** fnal seismic images clearly exhibit the target rock’s unconformable contact boundary and its top interface beneath the sedimentary and weathered *** this basis,it could be confrmed that the target rock is not thin or has been transported by geological process from somewhere else,but a native and massive *** are a few small size fractures whose space distribution could be revealed by seismic images within the *** fractures should be kept *** on current research,it could be considered that active source seismic exploration is demanded during the sitting process of the geological disposal repository for nuclear *** seismic acquisition and processing techniques proposed in the present paper would ofer a good reference value for similar researches in the future.

Effects of water discharge on river-dominated delta growth

River-dominated deltas are commonly developed at modern bays and lakes and ancient petroliferous *** discharge is an important variable at pay zone scales in river-dominated delta reservoirs,which affects deltaic sand distributions and ***,it's unclear how it influences riverdominated delta *** paper integrates Delft3 D simulations and modern analogs to analyze the effects of water discharge,considering growth time,sediment supply,and coupled effects of sediment *** water discharges lead to the formation of lobate deltas,and the water discharge of 1,000 m~3/s is a referenced threshold ***-grained,highly-cohesive sediments increase the threshold values of water discharge at which the deltas become lobate from digitate,and vice *** the same simulation time,high water discharges favor more rugose shorelines,more distributary channels(especially secondary distributaries),and longer and wider deltas with more land ***,for the same sediment supply,high water discharges have few effects on shoreline roughness and the number of distributary channels.

First-order multiples imaging aided by water bottom

Surface-related multiples frequently propagate into the subsurface and contain abundant information on small reflection *** with the conventional migration of primaries,migration of multiples offers complementary illumination and a higher vertical ***,crosstalk artifacts caused by unrelated multiples during reverse time migration(RTM)using multiples severely degrade the reliability and interpretation of the final migration ***,we proposed RTM using first-order receiver-side water-bottom-related multiples for eliminating crosstalk artifacts and enhancing vertical *** first backward propagate the first-order receiver-side water-bottom-related multiples using a water-layer model,followed by saving the upper boundary *** we produce the source wavefield using a seismic wavelet and the receiver wavefield by back-extrapolating the saved ***,the cross-correlation imaging condition is applied to generate the final *** method transforms the receiver-side multiples into primaries,followed by the conventional migration processing *** examples using synthetic datasets demonstrate that our method significantly enhances the imaging quality by eliminating crosstalk artifacts and improving the resolution.

AIM： To analyze the biological role of the surface antigen of Toxoplasma gondii（Tgondii） in development of vaccine. METHODS： The surface antigen of Tgondii （SAG1） was expressed in vitro. The immune response of the host to the antigen was investigated by detection of specific antibody reaction to SAG1 and production of cytokines. Mice were immunized with recombinant SAG1 and challenged with lethal strain of Tgondii RH. The monoclonal antibody to r-SAG1 was prepared and used to study the effects of SAG1 on Tgondii tachyzoites under electromicroscope. RESULTS： The mice immunized with recombinant SAG1 delayed death for 60 h compared to the control group. The recombinant SAG1 induced specific high titer of IgG and IgM antibodies as well as IFN-y, IL-2 and IL-4 cytokines in mice. In contrast, IL-12, IL-6 and TNF-α were undetectable. When T gondii tachyzoites were treated with the monoclonal antibody to r-SAG1, the parasites were gathered together, destroyed, deformed, swollen, and holes and gaps formed on the surface. CONCLUSION： SAG1 may be an excellent vaccine candidate against T gondii. The immune protection induced by SAG1 against Tgondii may be regulated by both hormone- and cell-mediated immune response.

Enhanced photothermal dehydration of methanol over W_(18)O_(49)/Au/SAPO-34 catalysts with broadened light absorption

Methanol-to-olefins(MTO)process is one of the most critical pathways to produce low carbon ***,the reaction is driven by thermal catalysis,which inevitably needs to consume large amounts of fossil *** a new technique to substitute for the fuel burning is urgent for MTO process to improve the industry prospects and ***,we report a novel W_(18)O_(49)/Au/SAPO-34(W/Au/S),a multifunctional photothermal catalyst for the MTO reaction.A high methanol conversion was achieved under xenonum(Xe)lamp irradiation,yielding methyl ether(ME)and ethylene as the main *** optimized W/Au/S catalysts showed ethylene yield as high as 250μmol in 60 min,which was 2.5 times higher than that of Au/*** physiochemical characterization revealed that the SAPO-34 molecular sieves were surrounded by Au and W_(18)O_(49)nanoparticles,which exhibited a strong localized surface plasmon resonance excitation around 540 nm and light absorption beyond 500 *** multifunctional catalysts showed a strong photothermal effect,arising from the broadened light absorption of Au and W_(18)O_(49)nanoparticles,leading to a temperature as high as 250℃on the surface of the *** study showed that the superior ethylene selectivity of W/Au/S catalysts was attributed to the moderating acidic sites of W_(18)O_(49)for methanol dehydration to *** research may provide new insight for designing heterostructures to improve photo-to-chemical conversion performance and is expected to accelerate progress toward the excellent multifunctional photothermal catalysts with broad light absorption for methanol activation and C-C bond formation.

It has been reported that the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway plays a key role in the pathogenesis of ischemic *** a result,the development of drugs targeting the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway has attracted increasing attention from *** article reviews the pathological mechanisms and advancements in research related to the signaling pathways in ischemic stroke,with a focus on the PI3K/AKT signaling *** key findings include the following:(1)The complex pathological mechanisms of ischemic stroke can be categorized into five major types:excitatory amino acid toxicity,Ca^(2+)overload,inflammatory response,oxidative stress,and apoptosis.(2)The PI3K/AKT-mediated signaling pathway is closely associated with the occurrence and progression of ischemic stroke,which primarily involves the NF-κB,NRF2,BCL-2,mTOR,and endothelial NOS signaling pathways.(3)Natural products,including flavonoids,quinones,alkaloids,phenylpropanoids,phenols,terpenoids,and iridoids,show great potential as candidate substances for the development of innovative anti-stroke medications.(4)Recently,novel therapeutic techniques,such as electroacupuncture and mesenchymal stem cell therapy,have demonstrated the potential to improve stroke outcomes by activating the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway,providing new possibilities for the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with ischemic *** investigations should focus on the direct regulatory mechanisms of drugs targeting the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway and their clinical translation to develop innovative treatment strategies for ischemic stroke.

Identifying the dynamic behaviors in complete reconstruction of Co-based complex precatalysts during electrocatalytic oxygen evolution

Transition metal-based nanomaterials have emerged as promising electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction（OER）. Considerable research efforts have shown that self-reconstruction occurs on these nanomaterials under operating conditions of OER process. However, most of them undergo incomplete reconstruction with limited thickness of reconstruction layer, leading to low component utilization and arduous exploration of real catalytic mechanism. Herein, we identify the dynamic behaviors in complete reconstruction of Co-based complexes during OER. The hollow phytic acid（PA） cross-linked CoFe-based complex nanoboxes with porous nanowalls are designed because of their good electrolyte penetration and mass transport ability, in favor of the fast and complete reconstruction. A series of experiment characterizations demonstrate that the reconstruction process includes the fast substitution of PA by OH-to form Co（Fe）(OH)xand subsequent potential-driven oxidation to Co（Fe）OOH. The obtained CoFeOOH delivers a low overpotential of 290 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm-2and a long-term *** experiment results together with theory calculations reveal that the Fe incorporation can result in the electron rearrangement of reconstructed CoFeOOH and optimization of their electronic structure,accounting for the enhanced OER activity. The work provides new insights into complete reconstruction of metal-based complexes during OER and offers guidelines for rational design of high-performance electrocatalysts.

Actively tunable electromagnetically induced transparency in hybrid Dirac-VO2 metamaterials

In this paper, we present a metamaterial structure of Dirac and vanadium dioxide（VO2） and investigate its optical properties using the finite-difference time-domain（FDTD） technique. Using the phase transition feature of VO2, the design can realize active tuning of the plasmon induced transparency（PIT） effect at terahertz frequency, thereby converting from a single PIT to a double-PIT. When VO2is in the insulating state, the structure is symmetric to obtain a single-band PIT effect. When VO2is in the metallic state, the structure turns asymmetric to realize a dual-band PIT effect. This design provides a reference direction for the design of actively tunable metamaterials. Additionally, it is discovered that the transparent window's resonant frequency and the Fermi level in this structure have a somewhat linear relationship. In addition, the structure achieves superior refractive index sensitivity in the terahertz band, surpassing 1 THz/RIU. Consequently, the design exhibits encouraging potential for application in refractive index sensors and optical switches.

Effect of Ti Additions on Mechanical and Thermodynamic Properties of W-Ti Alloys: A First-principles Study

The mechanical and thermodynamic properties of W-Ti alloys(including W_(15)Ti_(1),W_(14)Ti_(2),W_(12)Ti_(4) and W_(8)Ti_(8) alloys)were investigated by the first-principles approach based on density functional *** results indicate that W-Ti alloys except W_(8)Ti_(8) are thermodynamically *** modulus and hardness of W-Ti alloys are smaller than those of pure tungsten and gradually decrease with increasing Ti ***,their B/G ratios and Poisson's ratios exceed those of pure tungsten,suggesting that the introduction of Ti decreases the mechanical strength while enhancing the ductility of W-Ti *** thermal expansion coefficients for W-Ti alloys all surpass those of pure tungsten,indicating that the introduction of titanium exacerbates the thermal expansion behavior of W-Ti ***,elevated pressure has the capacity to suppress the thermal expansion tendencies in titanium-doped tungsten *** study offers theoretical insights for the design of nuclear materials by exploring the mechanical and thermodynamic properties of W-Ti alloys.
