Hearing loss prevalence and burden of disease in China: Findings from provincial-level analysis

Background: Without timely and effective rehabilitation, hearing loss may profoundly affect human life quality. China has a large population of hearing-impaired individuals, which imposes a heavy health burden on society. Moreover, this population is projected to increase rapidly owing to China’s aging ***: We used data from a population-representative epidemiological investigation of hearing loss and ear diseases in four Chinese provinces. We estimated the national prevalence using multiple linear regression of the age-group proportions and prevalence in 31 provinces with clustering analysis. We used years lived with disability (YLDs) to analyze the disease burden and forecasted the prevalence of hearing loss by 2060 in ***: An estimated 115 million people had moderate-to-complete hearing loss in 2015 across the 31 provinces of China (8.4% of 1.37 billion people). Of these, 85.7% were older than age 50 years (99 million people) and 2.4% were younger than 20 years old (2.8 million people). Of all YLDs attributable to hearing loss, 68.9% were attributable to moderate-to-complete cases. By 2060, a projected 242 million people in China will have moderate-to-complete hearing loss, a 110.0% increase from ***: The hearing loss prevalence in China is high. Population aging and socioeconomic factors substantially affect the prevalence and severity of hearing loss and the disease burden. The prevalence and severity of hearing loss are unevenly distributed across different provinces. Future public health policies should take these trends and regional variations into account.

Prediction of Seasonal Tropical Cyclone Activity in the NUIST-CFS1.0 Forecast System

Prediction skill for the seasonal tropical cyclone(TC)activity in the Northern Hemisphere is investigated using the coupled climate forecast system(version 1.0)of Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology(NUISTCFS1.0).This assessment is based on the seven-month(May to November)hindcasts consisting of nine ensemble members during 1982–*** predictions are compared with the Japanese 55-year Reanalysis and observed tropical storms in the Northern *** results show that the overall distributions of the TC genesis and track densities in model hindcasts agree well with the observations,although the seasonal mean TC frequency and accumulated cyclone energy(ACE)are underestimated in all basins due to the low resolution(T106)of the atmospheric component in the ***-CFS1.0 closely predicts the interannual variations of TC frequency and ACE in the North Atlantic(NA)and eastern North Pacific(ENP),which have a good relationship with indexes based on the sea surface *** the western North Pacific(WNP),NUIST-CFS1.0 can closely capture ACE,which is significantly correlated with the El Ni?o–Southern Oscillation(ENSO),while it has difficulty forecasting the interannual variation of TC frequency in this *** the WNP is further divided into eastern and western subregions,the model displays improved TC activity forecasting ***,it is found that biases in predicted TC genesis locations lead to inaccurately represented TC–environment relationships,which may affect the capability of the model in reproducing the interannual variations of TC activity.

Predicted interfacial thermal conductance and thermal conductivity of diamond/Al composites with various interfacial coatings

The interfacial thermal conductance （ITC） and thermal conductivity （TC） of diamond/Al composites with various coatings were theoretically studied and discussed. A series of predictions and numerical analyses were performed to investigate the effect of thickness, sound velocity, and other parameters of coating layers on the ITC and TC. It is found that both the ITC and TC decline with increasing coating thickness, especially for the coatings with relatively low thermal conductivity. Nevertheless, if the coating thickness is close to zero, or quite a small value, the ITC and TC are mainly determined by the constants of the coating material. Under this condition, coatings such as Ni, TiC, Mo 2 C, SiC, and Si can significantly improve the ITC and TC of diamond/Al composites. By contrast, coatings like Ag will exert the negative effect. Taking the optimization of interfacial bonding into account, conductive carbides such as TiC or Mo 2 C with low thickness can be the most suitable coatings for diamond/Al composites.

【目的】航天蚕Bombyx mori后代小茧突变体sc的幼虫发育缓慢,食桑量少,推测其生长发育相关通路基因受到基因突变的影响。前期研究表明,sc突变受一对位于家蚕第3连锁群的隐性基因控制,但其控制基因并未被鉴定。本研究拟通过比较分析sc与航天蚕后代正常茧品系TG的转录组数据,为sc突变体相应基因的鉴定及分子机制的解析提供参考。【方法】分别取sc和TG 5龄第4天幼虫的头部和中肠组织进行转录组测序(RNA-seq),并通过比较转录组分析获得差异表达基因(differentially expressed genes,DEGs),对DEGs进行GO注释和keGG富集分析。利用qRT-PCR验证随机选取的DEGs在sc和TG中的表达量。此外,利用qRT-PCR调查感兴趣基因在sc中的表达量。【结果】TG vs sc比较组头部检测到1528个DEGs,其中820个上调表达,708个下调表达;TG vs sc比较组中肠检测到1401个DEGs,其中683个上调表达,718个下调表达。GO分析表明头部和中肠DEGs在生物学过程中,大多数DEGs参与细胞过程、代谢过程、生物调节和刺激反应等;在分子功能中,大多数DEGs参与结合、催化活性、结构分子活性、转运蛋白活性和ATP依赖活性等。头部和中肠DEGs均涉及Hippo,Insulin和mTOR等与家蚕生长发育相关的信号通路。qRT-PCR分析显示,基因的表达趋势与转录组测序结果一致;与TG相比,sc中生长发育相关通路中BMSK0008105,BMSK0009907,BMSK0002689,BMSK0000286,BMSK0012340和BMSK00083629等关键基因差异表达。【结论】sc和TG中生长发育相关的信号通路关键基因的差异表达,通过影响生长发育过程中的能量代谢、器官发生和细胞生长、增殖及凋亡等生理过程,进而影响小茧突变体sc的体型发育。研究结果有助于阐明sc突变体形成的分子机制,并为家蚕体型调控研究积累实验数据。

To the Editor:Primary hepatic neuroendocrine carcinoma(PHNEC)combined/collided with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a rare and intriguing disease with characteristics of two histologically different ***,a combined type refers to the cases in which hepatic neuroendocrine carcinoma(HNEC)and HCC components intermingle with each other and cannot be clearly separated in the transitional areas,while a collision type refers to those in which the two distinct cancers occurred simultaneously and *** it is difficult to readily distinguish these two *** searched PubMed,Medline,China Science Periodical Database,and VIP Database with the publication from January 1980 to January 2019,using the keywords(“hepatic neuroendocrine carcinoma”or“HNEC”)and(“hepatocellular carcinoma”or“HCC”).After manually excluding records on secondary HNEC and other types of liver cancer,a total of 28 cases in 24 reports[1–24]were identified and summarized in Table 1.

富硅磁改性生物质炭的制备及其对Cd(Ⅱ)和As(Ⅲ)复合污染水体的吸附机制

镉(Cd)和砷(As)往往共存于矿区周边的水体及农田土壤中,由于二者化学行为相反,难以同时对其进行去除.因此,通过制备得到了一种新型富硅磁改性生物质炭(SMB)材料,用于同时吸附水体中的镉(Cd)和砷(As).试验首先通过共沉淀法制备得到磁铁矿与生物质的混合物,将其与3种不同类型的硅酸盐(Na_(2)SiO_(3)、CaSiO_(3)和SiO_(2))混合,而后在不同温度下(300、500和700℃)进行热解得到复合材料,通过复合吸附试验确定最佳制备条件.最后通过单吸附质及复合吸附质体系吸附试验,系统研究初始pH、吸附时间、初始浓度和添加顺序对SMB吸附Cd(Ⅱ)和As(Ⅲ)的影响,并结合SEM、FT-IR和XRD等表征分析阐明吸附机制.结果表明,在700℃下热解含5%CaSiO_(3)的生物质-磁铁矿混合物制备得到的材料对Cd(Ⅱ)和As(Ⅲ)的吸附效果最佳,在初始浓度分别为30 mg·L^(-1)和10 mg·L^(-1)的Cd(Ⅱ)和As(Ⅲ)溶液中,去除率分别达到了92.04%和60.59%.SEM、FT-IR、XRD和BET等表征结果证实,SMB不仅具有较大的比表面积和丰富的官能团结构,还具有一定磁力特性;在单元素吸附试验中,Cd(Ⅱ)和As(Ⅲ)的最佳吸附pH均为6,分别在1 h和8 h达到吸附平衡,准二级动力学模型更好地拟合了SMB对Cd(Ⅱ)和As(Ⅲ)的吸附过程.复合吸附体系中,Cd(Ⅱ)和As(Ⅲ)的最佳吸附pH为7.复合体系等温吸附试验结果表明,Freundlich模型更好地拟合了材料对Cd(Ⅱ)和As(Ⅲ)的等温吸附过程,且元素之间存在协同和拮抗效应.SMB对As(Ⅲ)与Cd(Ⅱ)吸附的过程中能在铁氧化物表面形成A型与B型三元表面络合物,其中A型三元表面络合物的形成能大幅提高材料对As(Ⅲ)的吸附能力,但由于共存体系下材料优先吸附了As(Ⅲ),因此,As(Ⅲ)与Cd(Ⅱ)同时存在时协同作用主要由静电作用、共沉淀以及B型三元表面络合物的形成所控制.拮抗效应则是由于两种重金属元素竞争羟基结合位点所致.综上所述,SMB材料对水体中的Cd(Ⅱ)和As(Ⅲ)均具有较好的吸附效果,可用于高效修复Cd(Ⅱ)和As(Ⅲ)复合污染水体.

传统劲性水泥土复合桩的内芯多采用预应力混凝土管桩,其仅依靠内外芯的摩擦和黏结来传递荷载。现场调研发现,水泥土桩与管桩界面的胶结力较小,依据规范进行设计时,内界面抗剪强度往往取值很低。针对此种情况,将内芯预应力混凝土管桩替换为钢管桩,探寻其与外芯水泥土桩间界面的抗剪强度,同时又提出将外表面具有螺旋叶片的钢管桩作为新型内芯桩。针对内芯为无肋钢管及螺旋叶片钢管的桩段试样进行了内界面剪切试验,分析了内界面极限剪切力的影响因素并进行了定量数据表征。获得了新型组合桩的内外芯剪切破坏模式及内界面抗剪强度参数的演化规律和计算方法,从而对《劲性复合桩技术规程》(JG/T023-2007)桩体承载力计算公式中的内界面抗剪强度参数取值进行了修正。

Secure and Efficient Multi-proxy Signature Scheme in the Standard Model

Multi-proxy signature is a variant of proxy signature, which allows that a delegator may delegate his signing rights to many proxy signers. Compared with proxy signature, multi-proxy signature can effectively prevent that some of proxy signers abuse signing rights. In this paper, we propose an efficient multi-proxy signature scheme in the standard model, which is based on the Waters’ signature scheme. Compared with other multi-proxy signature schemes in the standard model, the proposed scheme further reduces the amount of computations and communications.

背景:目前脊柱侧弯发病率正在逐年上升,尤以青少年特发性脊柱侧弯最为常见。因此加强对青少年脊柱侧弯治疗的研究就显得越来越重要。目的:旨在总结全球关于青少年特发性脊柱侧弯治疗研究的现状、热点、新兴趋势以及前沿,为今后相关的研究提供参考及指导。方法:从Web of Science核心集数据库中检索2013-2023年有关青少年特发性脊柱侧弯治疗的文献。运用CiteSpace 6.2.R1软件对国家、机构、作者和关键词进行可视化分析。结果与结论:①共纳入561篇英文文献,在国家、机构及作者分析中,美国的贡献最为突出,南京大学及Qiu Yong(南京大学医学院附属鼓楼医院)是发文量最多的机构及作者,发文量最多的学术期刊是《European Spine Journal》。②在被引用文献分析中,引用量前10位的文章主要描述了手术治疗与保守治疗对于改善青少年特发性脊柱侧弯的效果,尤以改善患者曲度为著,③通过对高被引文章进行归纳总结以及对关键词聚类、关键词突现进行深入挖掘发现,目前的研究热点是Cobb角与治疗方法选择的关系、运动疗法的治疗效果与椎体后路融合术的治疗效果。④对于不同曲度的患者,预后情况是否一致未有深入研究,以及青少年特发性脊柱侧弯的病因尚未明确,因此曲率与预后的关系以及青少年特发性脊柱侧弯的病因可能是未来新的研究趋势。
