Modeling the Covariance Matrix for the Power Spectra Before and After the BAO Reconstruction

The baryon acoustic oscillations （BAO） reconstruction plays a crucial role in cosmological analysis for spectroscopic galaxy surveys because it can make the density field effectively more linear and more *** combination of the power spectra before and after the BAO reconstruction helps break degeneracies among parameters,then improves the constraints on cosmological *** is therefore important to estimate the covariance matrix between pre-and post-reconstructed power *** this work,we use perturbation theory to estimate the covariance matrix of the related power spectra multipoles,and check the accuracy of the derived covariance model using a large suite of dark matter halo catalogs at z=*** find that the diagonal part of the auto covariance is well described by the Gaussian prediction,while the cross covariance deviates from the Gaussian prediction quickly when k>0.1 h ***,we find the non-Gaussian effect in the nondiagonal part of the cross covariance is comparable to,or even stronger than,the pre-reconstruction *** adding the non-Gaussian contribution,we obtain good agreement between analytical and numerical covariance matrices in the non-diagonal part up to k;0.15 h *** agreement in the diagonal part is also improved,bu still under-predicts the correlation in the cross covariance block.

We propose a new consistency test for theΛCDM cosmology using baryonic acoustic oscillations(BAO)and redshift space distortion(RSD)measurements from galaxy redshift ***,we determine the peak position of fσ8(z)in redshift z offered by an RSD measurement,and compare it to the one predicted by the BAO observables assuming a flatΛCDM *** demonstrate this new test using the simulated data for the DESI galaxy survey,and argue that this test complements those using the background observables alone,and is less subject to systematics in the RSD analysis,compared to traditional methods using values of fσ8(z)directly.

Prevalence of Anxiety and Associated Factors among University Students: A Cross-Sectional Study in Japan

Mental health difficulties can impact students’motivation,focus,and ability to communicate with *** attending medical universities are more likely to experience anxiety,depression,and other mood changes for thefirst ***,no study has examined their prevalence among Japanese rehabilitation *** study investigated the prevalence of anxiety among Japanese rehabilitation students and aimed to identify its predictors.A cross-sectional study was conducted among 148first-year physical and occupational therapy students at a private medical university in Japan in June *** on sociodemographic and personal characteristics,such as gender,age,subject major,regular exercise,place of residence,and sleeping hours,were recorded using an original *** included the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory,COVID-19 questionnaire,and Beck Depression Inventory–Second Edition(BDI-II).The results indicated that 83(56%)and 77(52%)students exhibited state anxiety and trait anxiety symptoms,***-four(23%)students experienced mild depressive *** were further determined between gender,subject major,handling of stress,loneliness,satisfaction with life,satisfaction with social connections,anxiety about the future,satisfaction with school life,fulfillment of friendships,and *** variables demonstrated a statistically significant association:handling stress(p<0.05;95%CI 0.409–2.472),satisfaction with life(p<0.01;95%CI 0.500–0.897),anxiety about the future(p<0.01;95%CI 1.397–4.087),and depression(total score of BDI-II,p<0.01;95%CI 1.555–100.742).Our results emphasize that universities must establish a system for early identification and support of anxiety and depression in students.

Poly（pheniothiazine） films were prepared on a porous carbon felt（CF） electrode surface by an electrooxidative polymerization of three phenothiazine derivatives（i.e.,Tthionine（TN）,Toluidine Blue（TB） and Methylene Blue（MB）） from 0.1 mol/L phosphate buffer solution（pH 7.0）.Among the three phenothiazies,the poly（TB） film-modified CF exhibited an excellent electrocatalytic activity for the oxidation of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide reduced form（NADH） at ＋0.2 V ***/*** poly（TB） film-modified CF was successfully used as working electrode unit of highly sensitive amperometric flow-through detector for *** peak currents（peak heights） were almost unchanged,irrespective of a carrier flow rate ranging from 2.0 to 4.1 mL/min,resulting in the measurement of NADH（ca.30 samples/hr） at 4.1 mL/*** peak current responses of NADH showed linear relationship over the concentration range from 1 to 30 μmol/L（sensitivity：0.318 μA/（μmol/L）;correlation coefficient：0.997）.The lower detection limit was found to be 0.3 μmol/L（S/N = 3）.

The New Plating Process on Plastics

This process does not use general electroless plating solution containing formaldehyde(carcinogen) and phosphate(the object of waste water regulation). Furthermore, we succeeded in developing a new electroless copper plating solution which is usable semi-permanently by using the special reducing agent. The electroless deposition forms a very thin conductive film on substrate. Therefore, it can prevent some appearance defects (e.g. pits, pin-holes, laminations and inclusions) that occur in the conventional ones. In addition, it is possible to eliminate electroplating of copper from the process by applying the exclusive nickel solution in electroplating. Therefore, the obtained metal parts can be recycled as high quality stainless steel. Given this copper electroplating-free process, 25 u m-thick nickel deposition at the stage of electroplating, at least, enables the metal layers to show properties as versatile as those of the conventional(its total thickness is 25 n m in the comparative conventional process).

Low-Energy Spin Excitations in Detwinned FeSe

Antiferromagnetic spin fluctuation is regarded as the leading driving force for electron pairing in high-Tc *** iron-based superconductors,spin excitations at low energy range,especially the spin-resonance mode at ER~5kBTc,are important for understanding the ***,we use inelastic neutron scattering(INS)to investigate the symmetry and in-plane wave-vector dependence of low-energy spin excitations in uniaxial-strain detwinned Fe *** low-energy spin excitations(E<10 meV)appear mainly at Q=(±1,0)in the superconducting state(T9K)and the nematic state(T90 K),confirming the constant C_(2) rotational symmetry and ruling out the C_(4) mode at E≈3 meV reported in a prior INS ***,our results reveal an isotropic spin resonance in the superconducting state,which is consistent with the s±wave pairing *** slightly higher energy,low-energy spin excitations become highly *** full width at half maximum of spin excitations is elongated along the transverse *** Q-space isotropic spin resonance and highly anisotropic low-energy spin excitations could arise from dyz intra-orbital selective Fermi surface nesting between the hole pocket aroundΓpoint and the electron pockets centered at MX point.

Wave Propagation Simulation Using the CIP Method of Characteristic Equations

We apply the CIP(Cubic Interpolated Profile)scheme to the numerical sim-ulation of the acoustic wave propagation based on characteristic *** CIP scheme is based on a concept that both the wavefield and its spatial deriv ative propa-gate along the same characteristic curves derived from a hyperbolic differential *** describe the derivation of the characteristic equations for the acoustic waves from the basic equations by means of the directional splitting and the diagonaliza-tion of the coffcient matrix,and establish geophysical boundary *** the CIP scheme calculates both the wavefield and its spatial derivatives,it is easy to realize the boundary conditions *** also show some numerical simula-tion examples and the CIP can simulate acoustic w ave propagation with high stability and less numerical *** method of characteristics with the CIP scheme is a very powerful technique to deal w ith the wave propagation in complex geophysical problems.

Selective liquid phase oxidation of cyclohexane over Pt/CeO_(2)-ZrO_(2)-SnO_(2)/SiO_(2)catalysts with molecular oxygen

Partial oxidation of cyclohexane into cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol(KA-oil)is an industrially significant reaction for producing precursors for the synthesis ofε-caprolactam and adipic acid,which are the building blocks of ***,to date,the cyclohexane conversion ratio has usually been limited to less than 6%to prevent further oxidation of the cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone *** this study,we report that Pt/CeO_(2)-ZrO_(2)-SnO_(2)/SiO_(2),in which CeO2-ZrO2-SnO2 provide reactive oxygen molecules from inside the bulk,can act as efficient *** of the catalyst composition and reaction conditions provided a cyclohexane conversion ratio of 24.1%and a total selectivity for cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone of 83.4%at 130℃in 0.5 MPa(4.9 atm)air for 7 h over a 5wt%Pt/16wt%Ce_(0.68)Zr_(0.17)Sn_(0.15)O_(2.0)/SiO_(2)*** catalyst has significant advantages over conventional catalysts because the reaction proceeds at a lower pressure,and there is no need for toxic radical initiators or free-radical scavengers.

Effect of FeO concentration in sinter iron ore on reduction behavior in a hydrogen-enriched blast furnace

Japan started the national project“COURSE 50”for CO_(2) reduction in the *** project aimed to establish novel technologies to reduce CO_(2) emissions with partially utilization of hydrogen in blast furnace-based ironmaking by 30%by around 2030 and use it for practical applications by *** idea is that instead of coke,hydrogen is used as the reducing agent,leading to lower fossil fuel consumption in the *** has been reported that the reduction behavior of hematite,magnetite,calcium ferrite,and slag in the sinter is different,and it is also considerably influenced by the sinter *** study aimed to investigate the reduction behavior of sinters in hydrogen enriched blast furnace with different mineral morphologies in CO-CO_(2)-H2 mixed *** an experimental sample,two sinter samples with significantly different hematite and magnetite ratios were prepared to compare their reduction *** reduction of wustite to iron was carried out at 1000,900,and 800℃ in a CO-CO_(2)-H2 atmosphere for the mineral morphology-controlled sinter,and the following findings were *** reduction rate of smaller amount of FeO led to faster increase of the reduction rate curve at the initial stage of ***-observations of reduced samples showed that the reaction proceeded from the outer periphery of the sample toward the inside,and a reaction interface was observed where reduced iron and wustite ***-observations revealed three layers,namely,wustite single phase in the center zone of the sample,iron single phase in the outer periphery zone of the sample,and iron oxide-derived wustite FeO and iron,or calcium ferritederived wustite'FeO'and iron in the reaction interface zone.A two-interface unreacted core model was successfully applied for the kinetic analysis of the reduction reaction,and obtained temperature dependent expressions of the chemical reaction coefficients from each mineral phases.
