In this paper, we deals with mechanical performance of resin impregnation with natural fiber and fiber reinforced composites. The effect of the addition of a rein impregnation process on static strength of the injection molded composites was investigated by carrying out tensile and banding tests, followed by Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observation of fiber surface and fracture surface of composites. The tensile strength of natural fiber and natural fiber reinforced composites with resin impregnation method increases with Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) impregnation. In addition, Phenol resin impregnation recovers fiber tensile strength after alkali treatment. Resin impregnation causes decrease in contact surface area;however, it does not cause decrease in mechanical properties. Our results suggest that the using rein impregnation method has better effect on the mechanical properties of natural fiber reinforced Polypropylene (PP) composites.

The bending strength of carbon?fiber/thermoplastic epoxy composites?(CF/TP-EP Compo.)?had?bi-linear increasewith increase of weight-average molecular weight (Mw) of matrix. The transition in the bending strength appeared at around 55k of Mw (“k”?means 103). SEM observation of fractured surface of CF/TP-EP Compo. showed that the fracture mode changed from interfacial failure to fiber breakage dominated failure. The smooth surface of carbon fibers appeared at lower Mw than 55k while some resin remained on the fibers indicating good adhesion between carbon fiber and matrix at higher Mw than 55k. The interfacial shear strength between carbon fiber and matrix bi-linearly increased with an increase of Mw similarly to the bending strength of the composite, measured by the micro droplet test. The dynamic loss tanδ?of the matrix measured at 2?Hz also showed a bi-linear relationship with respect to Mw having a knee point at Mw = 55k. The connection probability of two cracks introduced on?each side of specimens also confirmed that the interfacial strength between carbon fiber and matrix is the key for the mechanical performance of CF/TP-EP Compo. in bending.

Previously, Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) and phenolic resin were used for resin impregnated bamboo fiber reinforced PP composites which was manufactures for resin impregnated bamboo fiber with polypropylene (PP). Resin impregnation method can show improvement on tensile strength of fiber. However, to reduce the contact surface area and low inter-facial shear strength (IFSS) between impregnated resin and matrix, using 40% weight fraction of bamboo fiber in PP matrix, PVA impregnated composites with mean flexural and tensile strength 10% higher than untreated composites were produced butphenolic resin impregnated fiber reinforced composition’s mechanical properties were decreased. In this study maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene (MAPP) was used to increase interfacial shear strength between resin impregnated fiber and PP. With 10% MAPP, IFSS between resin impregnated fiber and PP increased more than 100% and reinforced composites. MAPP with untreated, phenolic resin and PVA impregnated cases showed similar mechanical properties. Yet in water absorption test, the PVA treatment with bamboo/PP composites increased water absorption ratio. But with 10% MAPP, matrix PP water absorption ratio decreased like phenolic resin impregnated fiber reinforced composites. 10% MAPP with resin impregnated bamboo fiber reinforced PP composites can improve IFSS, mechanical properties of composite and can decrease water absorption PVA resin impregnated bamboo fiber reinforced composites.

1 IntroductionTokyo Electron Limited has already released CVD Ti/TiN system for contact and capacitor electrode application. This system has been selected among many DRAM customers due to its excellent filling performance. In future generation, low temperature process (＜450℃) would be needed under the requirement of capacitor dielectric material change by DRAM cell size shrink, and to extend for logic and e-DRAM application (Figure 1). In this paper, CVD Ti/TiN system and current status of low temperature process development are presented.

Electropolymerized poly(Toluidine Blue)-modified carbon felt for highly sensitive amperometric determination of NADH in flow injection analysis

Carbon fiber（CF） reinforced compositesusing different types of vinylester（VE）resin includingconventional VE resinhave been prepared. The mechanical performance were characterized by different tests, such as tensile, mode-I interlaminarfracture toughness, tension-tension fatigue and scanning electron microscope（SEM）.The experimental results showed that the tensile strength of CF/VE composites changed at a wide range from 22.3% to 37.8% in comparison with the CF/conventional VE composite due to resin type, where the strain at failure was varying. The tensile strength increased with an increase of adhesive strength between carbon fiber and VE resin characterized by the microdroplet test. Namely, a good correlation between the tensile strength of composites and the adhesive strength was found. On the other hand, almost an inverse correlation was found between the tensile strength of composites and the interlaminar fracture toughness of composites obtained by DCB（double cantilever beams） tests. There was no apparent correlation found between the strain at failure for pure resins and the tensile strength of *** life of CF/VE compositesincreased as well as the tensile strength with an increase of the adhesive strength between carbon fiber and the resin. The samples sometime survived 1000 times longer than that of CF/conventional VE compositewhen the maximum cycle stress was 70% of the tensile strength of the strongest composite.

Poly（pheniothiazine） films were prepared on a porous carbon felt（CF） electrode surface by an electrooxidative polymerization of three phenothiazine derivatives（i.e.,Tthionine（TN）,Toluidine Blue（TB） and Methylene Blue（MB）） from 0.1 mol/L phosphate buffer solution（pH 7.0）.Among the three phenothiazies,the poly（TB） film-modified CF exhibited an excellent electrocatalytic activity for the oxidation of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide reduced form（NADH） at ＋0.2 V ***/*** poly（TB） film-modified CF was successfully used as working electrode unit of highly sensitive amperometric flow-through detector for *** peak currents（peak heights） were almost unchanged,irrespective of a carrier flow rate ranging from 2.0 to 4.1 mL/min,resulting in the measurement of NADH（ca.30 samples/hr） at 4.1 mL/*** peak current responses of NADH showed linear relationship over the concentration range from 1 to 30 μmol/L（sensitivity：0.318 μA/（μmol/L）;correlation coefficient：0.997）.The lower detection limit was found to be 0.3 μmol/L（S/N = 3）.

This process does not use general electroless plating solution containing formaldehyde(carcinogen) and phosphate(the object of waste water regulation). Furthermore, we succeeded in developing a new electroless copper plating solution which is usable semi-permanently by using the special reducing agent. The electroless deposition forms a very thin conductive film on substrate. Therefore, it can prevent some appearance defects (e.g. pits, pin-holes, laminations and inclusions) that occur in the conventional ones. In addition, it is possible to eliminate electroplating of copper from the process by applying the exclusive nickel solution in electroplating. Therefore, the obtained metal parts can be recycled as high quality stainless steel. Given this copper electroplating-free process, 25 u m-thick nickel deposition at the stage of electroplating, at least, enables the metal layers to show properties as versatile as those of the conventional(its total thickness is 25 n m in the comparative conventional process).

Antiferromagnetic spin fluctuation is regarded as the leading driving force for electron pairing in high-Tc *** iron-based superconductors,spin excitations at low energy range,especially the spin-resonance mode at ER~5kBTc,are important for understanding the ***,we use inelastic neutron scattering(INS)to investigate the symmetry and in-plane wave-vector dependence of low-energy spin excitations in uniaxial-strain detwinned Fe *** low-energy spin excitations(E<10 meV)appear mainly at Q=(±1,0)in the superconducting state(T9K)and the nematic state(T90 K),confirming the constant C_(2) rotational symmetry and ruling out the C_(4) mode at E≈3 meV reported in a prior INS ***,our results reveal an isotropic spin resonance in the superconducting state,which is consistent with the s±wave pairing *** slightly higher energy,low-energy spin excitations become highly *** full width at half maximum of spin excitations is elongated along the transverse *** Q-space isotropic spin resonance and highly anisotropic low-energy spin excitations could arise from dyz intra-orbital selective Fermi surface nesting between the hole pocket aroundΓpoint and the electron pockets centered at MX point.

We apply the CIP(Cubic Interpolated Profile)scheme to the numerical sim-ulation of the acoustic wave propagation based on characteristic *** CIP scheme is based on a concept that both the wavefield and its spatial deriv ative propa-gate along the same characteristic curves derived from a hyperbolic differential *** describe the derivation of the characteristic equations for the acoustic waves from the basic equations by means of the directional splitting and the diagonaliza-tion of the coffcient matrix,and establish geophysical boundary *** the CIP scheme calculates both the wavefield and its spatial derivatives,it is easy to realize the boundary conditions *** also show some numerical simula-tion examples and the CIP can simulate acoustic w ave propagation with high stability and less numerical *** method of characteristics with the CIP scheme is a very powerful technique to deal w ith the wave propagation in complex geophysical problems.
