Solid-State Interfacial Reaction between Eutectic Au-Ge Solder and Cu/Ni(P)/Au Metalized Ceramic Substrate and Its Suppression

Eutectic Au-12 Ge solder was employed to bond the SiC power devices to a Si3N4/Cu/Ni（P）/Au multilayered *** high-temperature reliability of the bond was investigated in detail at 200,250,300 and 330 ℃,*** and Ni5Ge3intermetallic compounds（IMCs） were identified at the Au-12Ge/Ni（P） interface by micro X-ray diffraction（μXRD） and scanning electron microscopy（SEM）equipped with energy dispersive X-ray analysis（EDX）.The growth of the Ni-Ge IMCs was dominated by Ni5Ge3layer,which formed at the Ni5Ge3/NiGe interface by outward diffusion of Ni from the Ni（P） *** activation energy of the total Ni-Ge IMCs growth was 66 kJ/*** shear strength of the bond was tested at both 25 ℃ and the aging temperatures,*** shear strength decreased slightly after aging at 200 and 250 ℃.The shear strength tested at 250 ℃ was 46 MPa after aging at 250 ℃ for 3000 *** shear strength aged at 300 and 330 ℃ rapidly decreased with aging time due to the rapid growth of the *** slow down the interfacial reaction between the high temperature solder and the Ni（P）layer,an approximately 200 nm-thick Ta/TaN/Ta new diffusion barrier（DB） was deposited on the *** by transmission electron microscopy（TEM） equipped with EDX,reveals that the Ta/TaN/Ta DB was bonded well to the Ni（P） layer and the *** temperature storage test at 330 ℃ for1500 h reveals that the bond of the SiC devices maintained its high shear strength of approximately56 MPa without *** new DB effectively suppressed the interfacial reaction between the Au-12 Ge solder and the Ni（P） layer of the substrate.

BACKGROUND Chronic liver disease and cirrhosis is the 12^(th) leading cause of death in the United States. Patients with decompensated-cirrhosis, especially with hepatic encephalopathy/coma(HC), have a higher rate of early readmission and contribute to higher healthcare *** To evaluate the national inpatient trends of discharges, mortalities and financial impacts associated with four common conditions of *** The publicly available Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project National Inpatient Sample database was utilized to examine the temporal trends of total number of discharges, mortalities and inpatient costs related to hospitalization with a primary diagnosis of HC, transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS),esophageal varices with bleeding(EV) and spontaneous bacterial peritonitis(SBP) from 2005 to 2014. The ten-year temporal trends were assessed using simple linear regressions and multiple regression analysis. Two-sided P < 0.05 was considered statistically *** From 2005 to 2014, the total number of discharges with cirrhosis-associated complications trended up for HC, SBP and EV(HC by 70% increase, P < 0.0001;SBP by 819% increase, P = 0.0002; EV by 9% increase, P = 0.016), but not for TIPS(P = 0.90). HC related to viral hepatitis showed faster increase by 357%(P <0.0001) in comparison to HC not related to viral hepatitis by 33 %(P = 0.0006).Overall, in-hospital mortality rates for each condition decreased from 2005 to2014(HC by 29% reduction, P = 0.0024; SBP by 26% reduction, P = 0.0038; TIPS by 32% reduction, P = 0.021) except for EV(P = 0.34). After adjustment for inflation, aggregate cost of hospitalization for EV, HC, and SBP significantly increased by 20%, 86%, and 980%, respectively, from 2005 to 2014(all P < 0.02),while TIPS had trend toward decreasing cost by 3%(P = 0.95).CONCLUSION The number of hospitalizations and costs for some of the cirrhosis-associated conditions increased. The method to increase PtRu utilization and its catalytic activity of PtRu nanoparticles supported on reduced graphene oxide(RGO)by avoiding its restacking was proposed with the aim of developing an active catalyst for a direct methanol fuel *** heat treatment at 200◦C of the GO aerogel(GOA)prepared by freeze drying of GO ice was introduced to weaken the attractive force of the hydrogen bonding between the GO sheets followed by the composite with the nanoparticles,i.e.,ketjenblack(KB),TiO_(2)and Ti_(4)O_(7),at different weight *** catalyst supported on the heat-treated GOA(RGOA),PtRu/RGOA,improved the PtRu utilization to some extent and also increased the ECSA and mass activity compared to that of PtRu/*** had fewer oxygen functional groups,especially the epoxy *** to the treatment and composite,the PtRu utilization was increased from 66.5%for PtRu/RGO to 128.6%for PtRu/RGOA+Ti_(4)O_(7)(4:1)and the mass activity was improved from 50.7 A/g-PtRu for PtRu/RGO to 130.5 A/g-PtRu for PtRu/RGOA+Ti_(4)O_(7)(1:1).The Ti_(4)O_(7)nanoparticles showed the best catalytic performance for the composite suggesting that the strong interaction between Ti_(4)O_(7)and the Pt nanoparticles was effective due to its high electronic conductivity.

AIM: To investigate the therapeutic effects of triple therapy combining lafutidine with clarithromycin and amoxicillin on H pylori infection and the resolution of gastroesophageal symptoms after eradication. METHODS: We conducted a randomized, multicenter, open-label controlled trial to compare the effective-ness of a triple therapy of lafutidine, clarithromycin, and amoxicillin (lafutidine group) with that of a triple therapy of lansoprazole, clarithromycin, and amoxicillin (lansopra- zole group) in patients with H pylori infection. The study group comprised 22 patients with gastric ulcers and 18 patients with duodenal ulcers who had H pylori infection. RESULTS: H pylori eradication rates were similar in the lafutidine group (14/20, 70%) and the lansoprazole group (14/20, 70%). Gastroesophageal reflux and ab-dominal symptoms improved after eradication therapy in both groups, whereas abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, and constipation were unchanged. H pylori status had no apparent effect on improvement of gastroesophageal reflux or abdominal symptoms after treatment. Adverse events were similar in both groups. CONCLUSION: The triple therapy including lafutidine is equivalent to triple therapy including lansoprazole in terms of H pylori eradication rates and improvement in gastroesophageal reflux and abdominal *** results are attributed to the fact that lafutidine has strong, continuous antisecretory activity, unaffected by CYP2C19 polymorphisms.

Diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) is an established diagnostic method of acute stroke. The latest advances in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology have greatly expanded the utility of DWI in the examination of various organs. Recent studies have revealed the usefulness of DWI for imaging of the liver, kidney, ovary, and breast. We report a patient with acute pancreatitis detected by DWI and discussed the efficacy of DWI in diagnosing acute pancreatitis. A 50-year old man presented with a primary complaint of abdominal pain. We performed both DWI and computed tomography (CT) for this patient. The signal intensity in a series of DWI was measured and the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values were calculated to differentiate inflammation from normal tissue. Two experienced radiologists evaluated the grade of acute pancreatitis by comparing the CT findings. Initially, the pancreas and multiple ascites around the pancreas produced a bright signal and ADC values were reduced on DWI. As the inflammation decreased, the bright signal faded to an iso-signal and the ADC values returned to their normal level. There was no difference in the abilities of DWI and CT images to detect acute pancreatitis. However, our case indicates that DWI can evaluate the manifestations of acute pancreatitis using no enhancement material andhas the potential to replace CT as a primary diagnostic strategy for acute pancreatitis.

Congenital bile duct dilatation (CBD) that developed in a parent and son is presented. Familial occurrence of CBD is rare, with only a few male cases having been reported. Since the initial report of CBD occurring in siblings in 1981, a total of 20 cases (10 pairs) have been published as of 2007. Clinical and genetic features of CBD are discussed.
