A 75-year-old woman complained of anuria and a sense of discomfort with severe pelvic organ prolapse (POP). We planned tension-free vaginal mesh (TVM) surgery after curing mucosal defects and completing treatment for diabetes mellitus. Anuria and pyelonephritis relapsed repeatedly due to the failure of ring pessary therapy. Surgical treatment was required emergently. We performed a total laparoscopic hysterectomy and uterosacral ligament colpo-suspension (Shull’s method). Although the vaginal apex was supported to a good position, cystocele occurred six months after the initial surgery. A TVM procedure for recurrent cystocele was performed after curing the mucosal defects, and after the improvement of glycemic control. Transvaginal native tissue repair has the advantages of low risk of ureter injury, firm colpo-suspension, and no need for mesh usage. On the other hand, it is not good at treating cystocele. Transvaginal native tissue repair should prove to be a useful surgical option for apical support without mesh.

It has been established that cancer can be promoted and exacerbated by *** carcinoma(HCC) is the fifth most common cancer worldwide,and its long-term prognosis remains *** HCC is a complex and heterogeneous tumor with several genomic mutations,it usually develops in the context of chronic liver damage and inflammation,suggesting that understanding the mechanism(s) of inflammation-mediated hepatocarcinogenesis is essential for the treatment and prevention of *** liver damage induces a persistent cycle of necroinflammation and hepatocyte regeneration,resulting in genetic mutations in hepatocytes and expansion of initiated cells,eventually leading to HCC ***,several inflammation-and stress-related signaling pathways have been identified as key players in these processes,which include the nuclear factor B,signal transducer and activator of transcription,and stress-activated mitogen-activated protein kinase *** these pathways may suggest potential therapeutic targets,they have a wide range of functions and complex crosstalk occurs among *** review focuses on recent advances in our understanding of the roles of these signaling pathways in hepatocarcinogenesis.

Learning a compact predictive model in an online setting has recently gained a great deal of *** combination of online learning with sparsity-inducing regularization enables faster learning with a smaller memory space than the previous learning *** optimization methods and learning algorithms have been developed on the basis of online learning with L1-regularization.L1-regularization tends to truncate some types of parameters,such as those that rarely occur or have a small range of values,unless they are emphasized in ***,the inclusion of a pre-processing step would make it very difficult to preserve the advantages of online *** propose a new regularization framework for sparse online *** focus on regularization terms,and we enhance the state-of-the-art regularization approach by integrating information on all previous subgradients of the loss function into a regularization *** resulting algorithms enable online learning to adjust the intensity of each feature’s truncations without pre-processing and eventually eliminate the bias of *** show theoretical properties of our framework,the computational complexity and upper bound of *** demonstrated that our algorithms outperformed previous methods in many classification tasks.

A composting toilet using sawdust as a matrix has the potential to trap pathogens that might occasionally be contained in human feces. Therefore, care should be taken when handling the sawdust. It should also be noted that pathogenic viruses tend to have stronger tolerance than pathogenic bacteria. The fates of several species of coliphages, T4, λ, Qβ and MS2, in sawdust were investigated as a viral model. The fates of coliphages were significantly different among them, and they changed in response to temperature and the water content of the sawdust. As the results, T4 coliphage had the strongest tolerance and Qβ had the weakest one in sawdust. It was estimated the days required to decrease virus to a safe level based on a risk assessment. According to the rates of Qβ and T4, 15 days and 167 days were required respectively for a safe level of infection risk based on actually operated composting toilet condition. Thus, it was significantly different depending on the species and sawdust conditions.

A numerical analysis technique that incorporates Voronkov's model were examined and used to estimate the distribution of defects during crystal growth. By comparisons of the distribution of the density of LSTD and the position of R-OSF in non-nitrogen-doped (non-N-doped) and nitrogen-doped (N-doped) silicon crystals, it is found that the results of the numerical analyses agree with practically evaluated data. The observations suggest that the R-OSF nucleus is a VO2 complex that is formed by bonds between oxygen atoms and residual vacancies consumed during the formation of void defects. This suggests that Voronkov's model can be used to accurately predict the generation and growth of defects in silicon crystals. This numerical analysis technique was also found to be an effective method of estimating the distribution of defects in silicon crystals during crystal growth.

We are developing an optical layer-2s witch network that uses both wavelength-division multiplexing and time-division multiplexing technologies for efficient traffic aggregation in metro *** efficient traffic aggregation,path bandwidth control is key because it strongly affects bandwidth *** this paper,we propose a dynamic time-slot allocation method that uses periodic information of difference values of traffic *** method can derive near-optimal allocation with lower computational cost,which enlarges the maximum available network size compared with conventional time-slot allocation *** results show that the proposed method enables dynamic path control in 1K-node-scale optical layer-2s witch network,which leads to cost-effective metro networks.

This paper presents an experimental study on the local bed morphology and grain size characteristics around an impermeable spur dyke.A series of experiments are conducted with different types of sediment *** is found that the heterogeneity of the sediment exerts an influence on detailed bed topographies around the spur dyke,but does not influence the typical features of scour-deposition *** mean grain size and the geometric standard deviation of the bed sediment are two important and practical parameters in characterizing the changes of the bed morphologies and the bed compositions around the spur *** sediment sorting process plays a crucial role in the grain size distribution,and the process occurs longitudinally,laterally and *** the proximity of the spur dyke,the bed is generally coarsened from upstream to downstream and sand ribbons consisting of fine particles are *** the scour hole,the bottom sediment is coarser than that at the top.
