Experimental Investigation on Saline Water Purification Using Reverse Osmosis by a Novus Biomimetic Membrane

A substantial amount of Earth’s water is inadequate for human consumption while local demand is outstripping traditional supplies in many world regions;thereby,brackish and seawater treatment has become a *** investigation suggested a complete design of an RO-based desalination filter with a multilayer biomimetic *** study demonstrated a comprehensive method for experimentally fabricating a proprietary biomaterial-based multilayer nano-porous *** analysis revealed that Silk Nano-Fibril(SNF)and Hydroxyapatite(HAP)extracted from Bombyx Mori silkworm cocoons may be utilized to manufacture highly methodical multilayer membranes by incorporating protein-self-assembly and ***’s aquaporin layer containing lipid-bilayers has rapid water permeability and high efficacy at eliminating salt ions and *** 4µm thick SNF/HAP membrane showed a considerable decrease in salinity,with a salt rejection of 93.33%.The proposed membrane had a saline water permeability of 6.58 LMH/bar,almost 61.09%higher than conventional TFC *** barrier and spiral-wrapped filter architecture of the membrane enable low fouling and self-cleaning *** schematic filter design and biomimetic fabrication of the SNF/HAP membrane have formulated a conceptual framework that might direct to the broad-scale,low-cost RO water purification filters,increasing the efficiency of water desalination and boosting the effectiveness of water treatment technologies to reduce potable water scarcity.

The widespread use of smartwatches has increased their specific and complementary activities in the health sector for patient’s *** this study,we propose a framework referred to as smart forecasting CardioWatch(SCW)to measure the heart-rate variation(HRV)for patients with myocardial infarction(MI)who live alone or are outside their *** this study,HRV is used as a vital alarming sign for patients with *** performance of the proposed framework is measured using machine learning and deep learning techniques,namely,support vector machine,logistic regression,and decision-tree classification *** results indicated that the analysis of heart rate can help health services that are located remotely from the patient to render timely emergency health ***,taking more cardiac parameters into account can lead to more accurate *** the basis of our findings,we recommend the development of health-related software to aid researchers to develop frameworks,such as SCW,for effective provision of emergency health.

Survey and Analysis of VoIP Frame Aggregation Methods over A-MSDU IEEE 802.11n Wireless Networks

The IEEE 802.11n standard has provided prominent features that greatly contribute to ubiquitous wireless *** the last ten years,voice over IP(VoIP)has become widespread around the globe owing to its low-cost or even free call *** combination of these technologies(VoIP and wireless)has become desirable and inevitable for ***,VoIP faces a bandwidth utilization issue when working with 802.11 wireless *** bandwidth utilization is inefficient on the grounds that(i)80 bytes of 802.11/RTP/UDP/IP header is appended to 10–730 bytes of VoIP payload and(ii)765μs waiting intervals follow each 802.11 VoIP *** considering the quality requirements of a VoIP call,be including frame aggregation in the IEEE 802.11n standard has been suggested as a solution for the bandwidth utilization ***,several aggregation methods have been proposed to handle the quality requirements of VoIP calls when carried over an IEEE 802.11n wireless *** this survey,we analyze the existing aggregation methods of VoIP over the A-MSDU IEEE 802.11n wireless *** survey provides researchers with a detailed analysis of the bandwidth utilization issue concerning the A-MSDU 802.11n standard,discussion of the main approaches of frame aggregation methods and existing aggregation methods,elaboration of the impact of frame aggregation methods on network performance and VoIP call quality,and suggestion of new areas to be investigated in conjunction with frame *** survey contributes by offering guidelines to design an appropriate,reliable,and robust aggregation method of VoIP over 802.11n standard.

Analysis and design of steel-concrete composite sandwich systems subjected to extreme loads

This paper presents the design guide based on analytical,numerical and experimental investigation of Steel-concrete-steel(SCS)sandwich structural members comprising a lightweight concrete core with density ranged from 1300 to 1445 kg/m3 subjected to static,impact and blast *** performance of lightweight sandwich members is also compared with similar members with normal weight concrete core and ultra high strength concrete core(fc=180 MPa).Novel J-hook shear connectors were invented to prevent the separation of face plates from the concrete core under extreme loads and their uses are not restricted by the concrete core *** and punching are the primary modes of failure under static point *** test results show that the SCS sandwich panels with the J-hook connectors are capable of resisting impact load with less damage in comparison than equivalent stiffened steel plate *** tests with 100 kg TNT were performed on SCS sandwich specimens to investigate the key parameters that affect the blast resistance of SCS sandwich *** yield line method is proposed to predict the plastic capacity and post peak large deflection of the sandwich ***,an energy balanced model is developed to analyze the global behavior of SCS sandwich panels subjected to dynamic load.
