Knowledge Level about HIV/AIDS among the Villagers of Comilla District, Bangladesh

The HIV/AIDS epidemic has grown on an unprecedented scale since it was first recognized, and presently it is considered as a well known global public health crisis. In making the health policy where millions of populations are at risk, it is necessary to understand the knowledge level about HIV/AIDS. So, this study aimed at to investigate the knowledge level about HIV/AIDS among the villagers. Data and necessary information were collected from one hundred villagers of Salmanpur from Comilla district, Bangladesh through a structured questionnaire. The collected data were used for univariate analysis, to carry out the description of the variables;and to justify the total score of knowledge about HIV/AIDS among the respondents, Cronbach’s alpha (α) was calculated. The results revealed that almost all the respondents (92.00%) were ever heard about HIV/AIDS and half of them (51.00%) were known it as a communicable disease. Majority of the respondents (62.00%) believed that it is caused by heterosexual relation as well as sex with HIV positive persons. However, a good number of respondents were found unaware about the major causes and preventive ways of AIDS. Less than half of the respondents (45.00%) had medium knowledge (α = 0.34 - 0.66) and only 36.00% had the enough knowledge about HIV/AIDS. The knowledge level is increasing with the increase of education level, and the respondents who involved in agricultural works are found the lowest knowledge level (47.00%) about HIV/AIDS. The villagers were known about HIV/AIDS but they do not have accurate information about the ways in which AIDS virus can or cannot be transmitted. Therefore, effective programs should be taken to increase the knowledge level about HIV/AIDS among the villagers in Bangladesh.

Oil blending is the method of choice used worldwide to improve oxidative stability and nutritional *** is no such edible oil/fat that meets all the recommendations from the health point of *** fatty acid composition of vegetable oils decides the fate of the *** single oil is unable to provide a balanced amount of fatty acids(FAs)required/recommended on a daily intake *** oils/fats is an appropriate procedure of physically mixing multiple oils in suitable proportions which may provide functional lipids with improved antioxidant potential and desirable physical and chemical *** review piled up the accessible data on the blending of diverse oils/fats in the combination of binary,ternary,quaternary,or other types of oils into a single blended *** can be found very convincing towards appropriate FA profile,enhancement in physicochemical characteristics,and augmented stability for the period of storage or when used as cooking/frying processes which could ultimately serve as an effectual dietary intervention towards the health protectiveness.

The widespread use of smartwatches has increased their specific and complementary activities in the health sector for patient’s *** this study,we propose a framework referred to as smart forecasting CardioWatch(SCW)to measure the heart-rate variation(HRV)for patients with myocardial infarction(MI)who live alone or are outside their *** this study,HRV is used as a vital alarming sign for patients with *** performance of the proposed framework is measured using machine learning and deep learning techniques,namely,support vector machine,logistic regression,and decision-tree classification *** results indicated that the analysis of heart rate can help health services that are located remotely from the patient to render timely emergency health ***,taking more cardiac parameters into account can lead to more accurate *** the basis of our findings,we recommend the development of health-related software to aid researchers to develop frameworks,such as SCW,for effective provision of emergency health.

A substantial amount of Earth’s water is inadequate for human consumption while local demand is outstripping traditional supplies in many world regions;thereby,brackish and seawater treatment has become a *** investigation suggested a complete design of an RO-based desalination filter with a multilayer biomimetic *** study demonstrated a comprehensive method for experimentally fabricating a proprietary biomaterial-based multilayer nano-porous *** analysis revealed that Silk Nano-Fibril(SNF)and Hydroxyapatite(HAP)extracted from Bombyx Mori silkworm cocoons may be utilized to manufacture highly methodical multilayer membranes by incorporating protein-self-assembly and ***’s aquaporin layer containing lipid-bilayers has rapid water permeability and high efficacy at eliminating salt ions and *** 4µm thick SNF/HAP membrane showed a considerable decrease in salinity,with a salt rejection of 93.33%.The proposed membrane had a saline water permeability of 6.58 LMH/bar,almost 61.09%higher than conventional TFC *** barrier and spiral-wrapped filter architecture of the membrane enable low fouling and self-cleaning *** schematic filter design and biomimetic fabrication of the SNF/HAP membrane have formulated a conceptual framework that might direct to the broad-scale,low-cost RO water purification filters,increasing the efficiency of water desalination and boosting the effectiveness of water treatment technologies to reduce potable water scarcity.

In the past few years,social media and online news platforms have played an essential role in distributing news content *** of the authenticity of news has become a major *** the COVID-19 outbreak,misinformation and fake news were major sources of confusion and insecurity among the general *** the first quarter of the year 2020,around 800 people died due to fake news relevant to *** major goal of this research was to discover the best learning model for achieving high accuracy and performance.A novel case study of the Fake News Classification using ELECTRA model,which achieved 85.11%accuracy score,is thus reported in this *** addition to that,a new novel dataset called COVAX-Reality containing COVID-19 vaccine-related news has been *** the COVAX-Reality dataset,the performance of FNEC is compared to several traditional learning models i.e.,Support Vector Machine(SVM),Naive Bayes(NB),Passive Aggressive Classifier(PAC),Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM),Bi-directional LSTM(Bi-LSTM)and Bi-directional Encoder Representations from Transformers(BERT).For the evaluation of FNEC,standard metrics(Precision,Recall,Accuracy,and F1-Score)were utilized.

Routine immunization(RI)of children is the most effective and timely public health intervention for decreasing child mortality rates around the *** being a low-and-middle-income-country(LMIC)has one of the highest child mortality rates in the world occurring mainly due to vaccine-preventable diseases(VPDs).For improving RI coverage,a critical need is to establish potential RI defaulters at an early stage,so that appropriate interventions can be targeted towards such populationwho are identified to be at risk of missing on their scheduled vaccine *** this paper,a machine learning(ML)based predictivemodel has been proposed to predict defaulting and non-defaulting children on upcoming immunization visits and examine the effect of its underlying contributing *** predictivemodel uses data obtained from Paigham-e-Sehat study having immunization records of 3,113 *** design of predictive model is based on obtaining optimal results across accuracy,specificity,and sensitivity,to ensure model outcomes remain practically relevant to the problem *** optimization of predictive model is obtained through selection of significant features and removing data *** machine learning algorithms were applied for prediction of defaulting children for the next immunization *** results showed that the random forest model achieves the optimal accuracy of 81.9%with 83.6%sensitivity and 80.3%*** main determinants of vaccination coverage were found to be vaccine coverage at birth,parental education,and socioeconomic conditions of the defaulting *** information can assist relevant policy makers to take proactive and effective measures for developing evidence based targeted and timely interventions for defaulting children.

Impact of Pulsed Laser Parameters and Scanning Pattern on the Properties of Thin-Walled Parts Manufactured Using Laser Metal Deposition

The quality of parts manufactured using laser metal deposition(LMD),similar to other additive manufacturing methods,is influenced by processing *** parameters determine geometric stability,favorable microstructures,and good mechanical *** study aimed to investigate the effects of pulsed laser parameters(duty cycle and pulse frequency)and scanning patterns(unidirectional and bidirectional patterns)on the properties of parts fabricated using *** show that the properties of the LMD-fabricated parts are obviously influenced by pulsed laser parameters and scanning *** the unidirectional scanning pattern in both pulsed laser parameters enhances the properties of the thin-walled parts prepared using *** increase in duty cycle can improve geometric stability,increase grain size,and reduce ***,the geometric stability does not vary considerably with the use of different frequencies,but the microstructure of fabricated parts shows various grain sizes with different pulse *** addition,the microhardness increases as the frequency increases from 13.33 to 50 *** general,the influence of the duty cycle on geometric properties is greater than that of ***,the impact of frequency on microhardness is greater than that of the duty cycle.

照明行业在孟加拉国是一个很具发展潜力的行业，逐渐从仅仅依赖进口组装向本地大型制造转变。随着当地消费者对家庭和办公场所照明等需求的逐步上升，电力的短缺，节能意识的兴起，照明系统趋向节能化，照明产品的消费模式发生改变。消费模式和消费者意识的转变也在推动着照明行业整体变化，这将正准备开始进行本地制造的企业产生巨大的影响。为了揭示这种转变的驱动力量和消除相关转型障碍，有必要对影响照明产品消费模式及行业特征的相关影响因素进行研究。本文的主要目的是探索影响孟加拉国照明行业中消费行为转变的影响因素，包括促进和阻碍两方面的因素。首先对消费行为和与消费行为分析相关的理论文献进行了回顾，利用来自行业、政府、企业等的二手数据对照明行业进行分析，随后通过与行业中的工程师、供应商等进行了深入访谈，听取专家意见和焦点小组讨论，与从消费者的问卷调查获得的资料相结合，阐释了照明设备消费转变的影响因素。结果显示：在照明行业直接或间接的影响这种转变的因素主要是政府政策，国际组织提供的财政和后勤支持，民间组织的倡议，电力危机和较高的电费，中国的行业变化（生产转移），环保意识。消费模式转变的主要障碍是孟加拉国原先的消费习惯，最初的产品高价，政府层面的官僚，对宣传活动意识的缺乏。根据本文的研究结果，给政府以及照明企业管理实践者带来了许多启示，具体如下，政府和其他利益相关者应该采取策略以促进和说服消费者使用更节能的照明解决方案;民间和非政府组织应该联合政府进行强有力的宣传活动;降低照明企业转型壁垒，如可以通过投资和降低关税结构从而降低新技术的初始高价格，教育目标消费群体习惯于使用关于节能照明方案;企业家也应该致力于其他方式为最终消费者提供可行的且价格可接受的产品。本研究一方面从理论上探讨了孟加拉国照明产业消费需求及模式转变的背后驱动因素，也提出了消费模式转变和产业转型所面临的壁垒;另一方面，该论文研究结论可以帮助该行业企业更进一步地了解行业动态，了解行业未来的机遇与挑战，为行业的转型以及照明产品本地制造奠定了前期的理论基础。

Vehicular Ad hoc Networks(VANETs)become a very crucial addition in the Intelligent Transportation System(ITS).It is challenging for a VANET system to provide security services and parallelly maintain high throughput by utilizing limited *** overcome these challenges,we propose a blockchain-based Secured Cluster-based MAC(SCB-MAC)*** nearby vehicles heading towards the same direction will form a cluster and each of the clusters has its blockchain to store and distribute the safety *** message which contains emergency information and requires Strict Delay Requirement(SDR)for transmission are called safety messages(SM).Cluster Members(CMs)sign SMs with their private keys while sending them to the blockchain to confirm authentication,integrity,and confidentiality of the message.A Certificate Authority(CA)is responsible for physical verification,key generation,and privacy preservation of the *** implemented a test scenario as proof of concept and tested the safety message transmission(SMT)protocol in a real-world *** and storage overhead analysis shows that the proposed protocol for SMT implements security,authentication,integrity,robustness,non-repudiation,*** maintaining the *** that are less important compared to the SMs are called non-safety messages(NSM)and vehicles use RTS/CTS mechanism for NSM *** studies show that the proposed NSM transmission method maintains 6 times more throughput,2 times less delay and 125%less Packet Dropping Rate(PDR)than traditional MAC *** results prove that the proposed protocol outperforms the traditional MAC protocols.
