Genetic Structure and Relationships among Populations of the Caspian Bent-toed Gecko, Tenuidactylus caspius(Eichwald, 1831)(Sauria: Gekkonidae) in Northern Iran

The Caspian bent-toed gecko, Tenuidactylus caspius, belonging to the family Gekkonidae, is widely distributed across the northern half of Iran, especially along the southern coastal region of the Caspian Sea. It is regarded as a commensal species throughout its entire distribution. We investigated genetic variation and relationships among different populations of this species in Iran. Fragments of the mitochondrial cyt b（547 bp） and ND4（831 bp） genes were sequenced and analyzed in 64 and 28 specimens, respectively, from 21 geographically distant localities. Cyrtopodion scabrum was used as the outgroup taxon. The data showed no significant genetic variation within the populations of T. caspius in Iran. Nevertheless, populations of Khorasan and Semnan（especially Shahrood） in northeastern Iran showed greater divergence（p-distance = 2.1%） from other Iranian populations. The low genetic variation and homogeneous structure among populations of T. caspius on either side of the Elburz Mountains suggests that this species most likely has achieved its current distribution recently and as a result of anthropogenic activities.

To date,there are very few studies about the spectroscopy of lithium-containing minerals(LCMs)in the scientific *** main objective of this study is to investigate the capability of Sentinel-2 image and FieldSpec3 spectro-radiometer in terms of mapping five important LCMs,including spodumene,lepidolite,amblygonite,petalite,and ***,first the FieldSpec3 spectro-radiometer was used to create the spectral curves of the ***,accurate spectral analysis and comparison of the studied LCMs were performed using The Spectral Geologist(TSG)and the Prism *** two software can show even slight difference in absorption features of different LCMs,which can discriminate and identify these ***-bearing rocks show absorption features at~365,~2200,and~2350 nm and reflective features at~550-770 *** features are consistent with Sentinel-2 ***,the created spectral curves were utilized for calibration of Sentinel-2 optical image to detect and map the potential zones of the rock units containing minerals mentioned above in a part of the central Iranian *** using the Spectral Angle Mapper(SAM)classifier module,the potential areas were *** of the five LCMs,petalite and spodumene showed more extensive coverage in the study *** speaking,the largest concentration of those LCMs can be seen in southern and centraleastern parts of the study *** comparison between spectral curves of reference and classified minerals confirmed the high capability of Sentinel-2 image for LCMs *** image classification results also confirmed the presence of the LCMs,but it cannot distinguish the LCMs type successfully.

Accuracy of the fluid property data plays an absolutely pivotal role in the reservoir computational *** data can be obtained through various experimental methods,but these methods are very expensive and time *** methods are numerical *** methods used measured experimental data to develop a representative model for predicting desired *** this study,to predict saturation pressure,oil formation volume factor,and solution gas oil ratio,several Artificial Intelligent(AI)models were developed.582 reported data sets were used as data bank that covers a wide range of fluid *** and reliability of the model was examined by some statistical parameters such as correlation coefficient(R2),average absolute relative deviation(AARD),and root mean square error(RMSE).The results illustrated good accordance between predicted data and target *** model was also compared with previous works and developed empirical correlations which indicated that it is more reliable than all compared models and *** the end,relevancy factor was calculated for each input parameters to illustrate the impact of different parameters on the predicted *** factor showed that in these models,solution gas oil ratio has greatest impact on both saturation pressure and oil formation volume *** the other hand,saturation pressure has greatest effect on solution gas oil ratio.

The purpose of this paper is to explore the effect of magnetic fields on the dynamics of magnetized filamentary molecular clouds. We suppose there is a filament with cylindrical symmetry and two components of axial and toroidal magnetic fields. In comparison to previous works, the novelty in the present work involves a similarity solution that does not define a function of the magnetic fields or density. We consider the effect of the magnetic field on the collapse of the filament in both axial and toroidal directions and show that the magnetic field has a braking effect, which means that the increasing intensity of the magnetic field reduces the velocity of collapse. This is consistent with other studies. We find that the magnetic field in the central region tends to be aligned with the filament axis. Also, the magnitude and the direction of the magnetic field depend on the magnitude and direction of the initial magnetic field in the outer region. Moreover, we show that more energy dissipation from the filament causes a rise in the infall velocity.

Effects of densification of poplar wood（Populus nigra） impregnated with nano-aluminum oxide（NA） and pre-treated with water vapor for 4 and 6 h were investigated in the present study. Physical and mechanical properties of treated poplar wood were measured according to the ASTM D-143 standard specifications, and then compared with the untreated specimens. Results showed significant improvement in all properties as a result of densification. A 4-h vapor pre-treatment improved effects on both physical and mechanical properties. When the duration of vapor-treatment increased to 6 h, wood polymers degraded to the extent that the improvements due to the vapor pre-treatment decreased substantially, though the final results were still significant improvements compared with the control specimens. High thermal conductivity coefficient of NA slightly but not significantly improved properties. Due to the high spring-back after 15 days,densified poplar is not recommended for applications in which densified wood will be exposed for long periods to high humidity or to direct water.

Duty cycle influence on the corrosion behavior of coatings created by plasma electrolytic oxidation on AZ31B magnesium alloy in simulated body fluid

Ceramic coatings were applied on the surface of AZ31 Mg alloy using plasma electrolytic oxidation procedure with distinct duty cycles(20％,50％,and 80％)by a direct current mode in an alkaline *** influence of the duty cycle on the corrosion performance of the coatings was studied in addition to their *** order to evaluate the corrosion performance of created coatings in different duty cycles,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)and potentiodynamic polarization(PDP)measurements were measured in simulated body fluid(SBF).The surface properties and chemical compositions of the coatings were evaluated by X-ray diffraction pattern and scanning electron *** results indicated that in the higher duty cycles(80％),the created coating had a uniform surface with a lower porosity percentage and a higher *** highest corrosion resistance arose from the least corrosion current density(6.46 x10-6 pA cm-2)of the produced coating in the higher duty cycles(80％).

Effect of quercetin on secretion and gene expression of leptin in breast cancer

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the possible inhibitory action of pure quercetin on secretion and gene expression of leptin in the T47 D breast cancer cell ***: In this experimental study, T47 D cells were cultured in monolayers in RPMI 1640. IC50 was determined by MTT(3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay after 24 h treatment at different concentrations of *** levels of leptin gene expression were measured by reverse-transcription real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR). Secreted leptin was measured in the supernatant of cells by an enzyme-linked immuno sorbent ***: Analysis of MTT assay data showed that quercetin has a cytotoxic effect on T47 D breast cancer cells with 40 μM IC50 after 24 h exposure. Dataanalysis of real-time PCR showed that with increases in quercetin concentration, a decreasing trend was seen in m RNA levels of leptin of treated cells compared with the control cells(P < 0.05). Also,measurement of secreted leptin in the culture media showed a similar decreasing trend in the amount of leptin protein in the treated cells compared with the control cells(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION: Quercetin significantly inhibits the growth of T47 D cells through inhibition of leptin secretion and gene expression in T47 D breast cancer cells. Therefore, it might be an alternative approach to breast cancer therapy through leptin targeting.

Objective: To survey the level and patterns of reverse transcriptase-based drug resistance and subtype distribution among antiretroviral-treated HIV-infected patients receiving only reverse transcriptase inhibitors in ***: A total of 25 samples of antiretroviral therapy experienced patients with no history of using protease inhibitors were collected. After RNA extraction, reverse transcriptase-nested PCR was performed. The final products were sequenced and then analysed for drug-resistant mutations and ***: No drug resistant mutations were observed among the 25 subjects. The results showed the following subtypes among patients: CRF 35_AD(88%), CRF 28_BF(8%),and CRF 29_BF(4%).Conclusions: A significant increase in drug resistance has been noted in recentlyinfected patients worldwide. Subtype distributions are needed to perform properlydesigned surveillance studies to continuously monitor rates and patterns of transmitted drug resistance and subtypes to help guide therapeutic approaches and limit transmission of these variants.
