The objective of this research was to improve the growth and biomass of Pterocarpus santalinus L.f.(an endangered leguminous tree)using native microbial symbionts such as arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and Rhizobium associated with native populations of *** native arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi isolated from *** soils were identifi ed as(1)Glomus fasciculatum;(2)Glomus geosporum;and Glomus aggregatum.A nitrogenfi xing microbial symbiont was isolated from the root nodules of *** and identifi ed as Rhizobium aegyptiacum by 16s rRNA gene *** microbial symbionts were inoculated individually and in combination into *** seedling *** 90 days,growth and biomass had improved compared with uninoculated *** and root lengths,number of leaves,stem circumference,number of root nodules,biomass,nutrient uptake and seedling quality index were signifi cantly increased by a combined inoculation of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi+Rhizobium *** was concluded that native microbial symbionts positively infl uenced *** seedling growth which will be helpful for successful fi eld establishment.

Objective:To investigate anticancer activity of different fractions of Tephrosia purpurea[TP] （Sharapunkha,Fabaceae） and Ficus religiosa[FR]（Peepal,Moraceae）.Methods:The fractions of TP and FR were prepared and tested for in vitro anticancer activity using human MCF 7 cell line by trypan blue exclusion ***:The result showed that among all these fractions of *** and FRIII showed better anticancer activity compared to other *** IC50 value for TPI（152.4μM）,TPIII（158.71μM）.FRI（160.3μM） and for FRIII（222.7μM） was ***:The present study shows anticancer potential of TP and FR fractions in MCF 7 cell line.

Microbial Fuel Cells（MFCs） are a promising technology for treating wastewater in a sustainable manner. In potential applications, low temperatures substantially reduce MFC performance. To better understand the effect of temperature and particularly how bioanodes respond to changes in temperature, we investigated the current generation of mixed-culture and pure-culture MFCs at two low temperatures, 10°C and 5°C. The results implied that the mixed-culture MFC sustainably performed better than the pure-culture（Shewanella） MFC at 10°C, but the electrogenic activity of anodic bacteria was substantially reduced at the lower temperature of 5°C. At 10°C, the maximum output voltage generated with the mixed-culture was 540–560 m V, which was 10%–15% higher than that of Shewanella MFCs. The maximum power density reached 465.3 ± 5.8 m W/m^2 for the mixed-culture at10°C, while only 68.7 ± 3.7 m W/m^2 was achieved with the pure-culture. It was shown that the anodic biofilm of the mixed-culture MFC had a lower overpotential and resistance than the pure-culture MFC. Phylogenetic analysis disclosed the prevalence of Geobacter and Pseudomonas rather than Shewanella in the mixed-culture anodic biofilm, which mitigated the increase of resistance or overpotential at low temperatures.

Structurally diverse bispropargyl ethers using resorcinol,quinol,4,4￠-dihydroxy biphenyl,bisphenol-A,4,4￠-dihydroxy diphenyl ketone,4,4￠-dihydroxy diphenylsulphone,trimethyl indane bisphenol and tetramethyl spirobiindane bisphenol were prepared by using phase transfer *** materials were separately blended with 4,4￠-bismaleimido diphenyl methane（BMIM）in mole ratios（0.5：0.5）.The materials were thermally cured and the structural characterisation and the thermal properties of these cross-linked materials are investigated using Fourier-transform infrared（FTIR）spectrophotometer and thermogravimetric analyzer（TGA）.Among the different materials investigated poly MRPE,poly MBPEBPA and poly MSPE show higher onset degradation temperature of 300°C indicating higher thermal *** degradation kinetics is investigated using Flynn-Wall-Ozawa（FWO）,Vyazovkin（VYZ）and Friedman（FRD）*** the various cured materials investigated,the activation energy（Ea-D）values obtained for poly MRPE and poly MKPE were observed to increase continuously froma=0.2 to 0.8 and the values range from 199 kJ/mol to 245 k J/mol and 153 k J/mol to 295 k J/mol *** crosslinked materials resulting from these bispropargyl monomers definitely need more energy for bond cleavage due to the presence of more aromatic *** volatile products obtained during the thermal degradation of the polymers were analyzed using thermogravimetric-Fourier transform infrared analyses（TG-FTIR）.The phenols,substituted phenols,carbon monoxide,carbon dioxide and small amount of aniline were found to be the major products during thermal degradation of these cured blends.

This study investigated the embryonic development of Maldives clownfish Amphiprion nigripes under natural conditions (28 - 30℃) at a lagoon of Agatti Island, Lakshadweep, India. The newly deposited fish egg was capsule-shaped and orange-red, with a (0.73 ± 0.04) mm3 yolk containing 5 - 10 fat globules. The embryonic development of fertilized eggs was divided into 26 stages and the time elapsing for each stage was recorded. Results showed that the cleavage was rapid, with the first division observed 1 h 20 min after fertilization. Blastulation occurred 4 h later, followed by gastrulation 12 h after fertilization, with a yolk volume of (0.61 ± 0.06) mm3. The organogenesis process started 22 h after fertilization when the blastopores closed and notochord formation began. The embryonic stage was recorded 24 h later, with the appearance of forebrain, midbrain, hindbrain, melanophores on yolk-sac and 22 somites, and a decreased yolk volume of (0.54 ± 0.08) mm3. Other organs developed well 31 h after fertilization, whereas the heart started beating and blood circulation began 78 h later. Red pigmentation (erytrophores) appeared 96 h after fertilization, with a small yolk volume of (0.22 ± 0.02) mm3. Mouth developed well and eyes were noticeable 120 h later, with head, pectoral fin and tail frequently moving 144 h after fertilization. The embryo reached the pre-hatching stage 168 h later and started to hatch after 170 - 180 h incubation. This study first detailed the embryonic development and yolk absorption of A. nigripes under natural conditions.

Hydrogen with high energy density and zero carbon emission is widely acknowledged as the most promising candidate toward world’s carbon neutrality and future sustainable ***-splitting is a constructive technology for unpolluted and high-purity H2 production,and a series of non-precious electrocatalysts have been developed over the past *** further improve the catalytic activities,metal doping is always adopted to modulate the 3d-electronic configuration and electron-donating/accepting(e-DA)properties,while for anion doping,the electronegativity variations among different non-metal elements would also bring some potential in the modulations of e-DA and metal valence for tuning the *** this review,we summarize the recent developments of the many different anion-mixed transition metal compounds(e.g.,nitrides,halides,phosphides,chalcogenides,oxyhydroxides,and borides/borates)for efficient water electrolysis ***,we have introduced the general information of water-splitting and the description of anion-mixed electrocatalysts and highlighted their complementary functions of mixed ***,some latest advances of anion-mixed compounds are also categorized for hydrogen and oxygen evolution *** rationales behind their enhanced electrochemical performances are *** but not least,the challenges and future perspectives are briefly proposed for the anion-mixed water dissociation catalysts.
