Photocrosslinkable polymers have been exploited to attain impressive advantages in printing freestanding,micrometer-scale,mechanically compliant ***,a more integrated understanding of both the polymer photochemistry and the microfabrication processes could enable new strategic design avenues,unlocking far-reaching applications of the light-based modality of additive *** promising approach for achieving high-aspect-ratio structures is to leverage the phenomenon of light self-trapping during the photopolymerization *** this review,we discuss the design of materials that facilitate this optical behavior,the computational modeling and practical processing considerations to achieve high aspect-ratio structures,and the range of applications that can benefit from architectures fabricated using light self-trapping-especially those demanding free-standing structures and materials of stiffnesses relevant in biological *** interactions exist among material attributes,including polymer composition,and processing parameters such as light *** identify strong opportunities for predictive design of both the material and the ***,this perspective describes the wide range of existing polymers and additive manufacturing approaches,and highlights various future directions to enable constructs with new complexities and functionalities through the development of next-generation photocrosslinkable materials and micromanufacturing methods.

The main aim of this work is to design a suitable Fractional Order Proportionl Integral Derivative(FOPID)controller with Chaotic Whale Optimization Algorithm(CWOA)for a RO desalination *** research on Reverse Osmosis(RO)desalination plants is a promising technique for satisfaction with sustainable and efficient RO *** work implements CWOA based FOPID for the simulation of reverse osmosis(RO)desalination process for both servo and regulatory *** modeling is a vital constituent of designing advanced and developed engineering processes,which helps to gain a deep study of processes to predict the performance,more *** approaches have been employed for mathematical models based on mass and heat transfer and concentration of permeable flow *** of FOPID controllers is broadly used to improve the dynamic response of the system,at the same time,to reduce undershoot or overshoot,steady state error and hence improve the *** performances of the FOPID controller with optimization is compared in terms of measures such as Integral Time Absolute Error(ITAE)and Integral Square Error(ISE).Simulation results with FOPID on desalination process achieved rise time of 0.0311 s,settling time of 0.0489 s and 0.7358%overshoot,better than the existing techniques available in the literatures.

Tuberculosis(TB)is a severe infection that mostly affects the lungs and kills millions of people’s lives every *** can be diagnosed using chest X-rays(CXR)and data-driven deep learning(DL)*** of its better automated feature extraction capability,convolutional neural net-works(CNNs)trained on natural images are particularly effective in image cate-gorization.A combination of 3001 normal and 3001 TB CXR images was gathered for this study from different accessible public *** different deep CNNs(Resnet50,Resnet101,Resnet152,InceptionV3,VGG16,VGG19,DenseNet121,DenseNet169,DenseNet201,MobileNet)are trained and tested for identifying TB and normal *** study presents a deep CNN approach based on histogram matched CXR images that does not require object segmenta-tion of interest,and this coupled methodology of histogram matching with the CXRs improves the accuracy and detection performance of CNN models for TB ***,this research contains two separate experiments that used CXR images with and without histogram matching to classify TB and non-TB CXRs using deep *** was able to accurately detect TB from CXR images using pre-processing,data augmentation,and deep CNN *** histogram matching the best accuracy,sensitivity,specificity,precision and F1-score in the detection of TB using CXR images among ten models are 99.25%,99.48%,99.52%,99.48%and 99.22%*** histogram matching the best accuracy,sensitivity,specificity,precision and F1-score are 99.58%,99.82%,99.67%,99.65%and 99.56%*** proposed meth-odology,which has cutting-edge performance,will be useful in computer-assisted TB diagnosis and aids in minimizing irregularities in TB detection in developing countries.

Complications in the management of closed high-energy proximal tibial plateau fractures

Purpose： To report complications in the management of complex closed proximal tibial fractures. Method： A retrospective study was conducted to analyze the infectious and noninfectious complications encountered in the management of high-energy Schatzker type V and VI tibial plateau fractures. All patients were treated at the level 1 trauma centre between January 20tl and March 2014. Sixty two patients were included in the study. The mean patient age was （43.16 ±11.59） years with 60 males and 2 females. Infectious complications like superficial and deep infection, wound dehiscence, malalignment in the immediate postoperative period and in follow-up period were noted. Results： The overall complication rate was 30.65% （19 out of 62）. Infectious complications were noted in 20.97% cases （13162）. In majority of the cases （8113）, superficial infection was seen which managed with regular dressing and antibiotic administration. The patients （5/13） who had developed deep-seated infection were subjected to repeated debridements, flap coverage, implant removal or amputation depending upon the host response. Thirteen patients had experienced noninfectious complications. Hardware related complications were noticed in six patients and four among them received a secondary procedure. Malalignment was observed in seven patients but only single patient underwent subsequent operative intervention. Conclusion： Proximal tibial plateau fractures especially Shatzker type V and VI are associated with extensive soft tissue damage even in closed injuries. The complications encountered in the management of these fractures can be minimized with appropriate patient selection and minimal soft tissue dissection.
