In this paper we extend the duality(C_(comp)^(∞)(R^(d))^(BMO(R^d))))^(∗)=H^(1)(R^(d))to generalized Campanato spaces with variable growth condition Lp,φ(R^(d))instead of BMO(R^(d)).We also extend the characterization of C_(comp)^(∞)(R^(d))BMO(Rd)by Uchiyama(1978)to C_(comp)^(∞)(R^(d))L _(p,φ)(R^(d)).Moreover,using this characterization,we prove the boundedness of singular and fractional integral operators on C_(comp)^(∞)(R_(d))L_(p,φ)(R^(d)).The function space L_(p,φ)(R^(d))treated in this paper covers the case that it is coincide with Lip_(α) on one area,with BMO on another area and with the Morrey space on the other area,for example.

Pigmented Villonodular Synovitis of the Spine: Two Case Reports and a Literature Review

Introduction: Pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS) of the spine is a rare condition, with only a limited number of cases documented in the medical literature. In this study, we review imaging findings of two cases of PVNS arising in the spine. Case 1: A 52-year-old male presented with right thigh pain of unclear etiology. His condition subsequently deteriorated and he was referred to our hospital. MRI revealed a spinal tumor with high intensity on T1-weighted imaging (T1WI) and iso-intensity on T2WI in the right L2/3 intervertebral foramen. The tumor exhibited heterogeneous enhancement on contrast-enhanced MRI. Computed tomography (CT) myelography showed the presence of an epidural tumor within the right L2/3 intervertebral foramen, situated externally to the spinal canal and compressing the dura mater. Notable scalloping was observed in the posterior margin of the L2 vertebral body on CT images. Case 2: A 78-year-old male presented with a complaint of muscle weakness of the left upper limb. His gait gradually deteriorated, which led to suspicion of cervical myelopathy. A tumor was observed on plain MRI and exhibited low to iso-intensity on T1WI and high intensity on T2WI. The tumor was in the left C7/T1 intervertebral segment and the spinal cord was compressed from the left side. CT showed destruction of the medial aspect of the left C7 vertebral arch. Conclusion: In spinal PVNS, the signal intensity on MRI is dependent on the timing of hemorrhage within the tumor, and there are no distinctive features. However, if an extradural tumor is suspected and CT shows bone erosion, scalloping or osteolytic changes, PVNS should be considered as a differential diagnosis.

Fontan operation is indicated in a single ventricle congenital heart disease which creates a shunt between superior vena cava and pulmonary arteries leading to increased pressure in central venous system and congestive hepatopathy,namely,Fontan-associated liver disease(FALD)[1].Recently,the long-term prognosis after Fontan operation has been improving and the number of patients diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)arising from FALD is increasing[1].There are several publications on the safety of laparoscopic,conventional surgery and interventional radiological modalities in FALD-HCC patients[2-5].However,there are no reports regarding the robotic hepatectomy for the FALD-HCC *** was the first report showing the safety of robotic anatomical hepatectomy in FALD-HCC patients.

For estimating the long-term stability of underground framework,it is vital to learn the mechanical and rheological characteristics of rock in multiple water saturation ***,the majority of previous studies explored the rheological properties of rock in air-dried and water saturated conditions,as well as the water effects on compressive and tensile *** this study,andesite was subjected to direct shear tests under five water saturation conditions,which were controlled by varying the wetting and drying *** tests were conducted at alternating displacement rates under three vertical *** results reveal that the shear strength decreases exponentially as water saturation increases,and that the increase in shear strength with a tenfold increase in displacement rate is nearly constant for each of the vertical *** on the findings of the shear tests in this study and the compression and tension tests in previous studies,the influences of both water saturation and loading rate on the Hoek-Brown failure criterion for the andesite was *** results indicate that the brittleness index of the andesite,which is defined as the ratio of uniaxial compressive strength to tensile strength,is independent of both water saturation and loading rate and that the influences of the water saturation dependence and the loading rate dependence of the failure criterion can be converted between each other.

Since numerous characteristic absorption lines caused by molecular vibration exist in the midinfrared(MIR)wavelength region,selective excitation or selective dissociation of molecules is possible by tuning the laser wavelength to the characteristic absorption lines of target *** applying this feature to the medical fields,less-invasive treatment and non-destructive diagnosis with absorption spectroscopy are possible using tunable MIR lasers.A high-energy nanosecond pulsed MIR tunable laser was obtained with difference-frequency generation(DFG)between a Nd:YAG and a tunable Cr:forsterite *** MIR-DFG laser was tunable in a wavelength range of 5.5–10μm and generated laser pulses with energy of up to 1.4mJ,a pulse width of 5 ns,and a pulse repetition rate of 10 *** removal of atherosclerotic lesion was successfully demonstrated with the MIR-DFG laser tuned at a wavelength of 5.75μm,which corresponds to the characteristic absorption of the ester bond in cholesterol esters in the atherosclerotic *** have developed a non-destructive diagnostic probe with an attenuated total reflection(ATR)prism and two hollow optical *** absorption spectrum of cholesterol was measured with the ATR probe by scanning the wavelength of the MIR-DFG laser,and the spectrum was in good agreement with that measured with a commercial Fourier transform infrared spectrometer.

The characteristics of electron transmission through C70 molecule bridge in which two atomic chain leads are connected to long-axis carbon atoms are investigated theoretically by using tight-binding approach based on the Green's function with only one π orbital electron per carbon atom. Electron transmission through C70 molecule from the input to the output terminal is obtained. From the spectrum, the switching feature of the electron transmission through C70 is found, and the oscil-lation property based on the quantized level is explained. The quantum current distributions inside C70 molecule bridge are calculated and simulated by the quan-tum current density theory based on Fisher-Lee formula at the energy point E = -0.2 eV, where the transmission spectrum shows a peak. The maximum and the mini-mum bond quantum currents are presented, and the reason why the currents are distributed nonuniformly is explained by the phase difference of the atomic orbits. The result shows that the currents at each atomic site agree with Kirchhoff quan-tum current conservation law.

While elucidating the inhibitory mechanism of a hydrolytic enzyme by aldehyde-containing natural product,we discovered a reaction involving a rapid 6π-azaelectrocyclization of azatrienes generated from aldehyde with lysine *** electrocyclic reaction of the 1-azatriene system,a cyclization precursor,exhibited a significant substituent *** chiral piperidine synthesis and a one-pot library synthesis of pyridines on solid-supports were applied to synthesize pyridine/indole alkaloid-type natural ***,we developed lysine-based labeling and engineering of biomolecules and living cells based on the rapid 6π-*** labels and oligosaccharide structures were introduced efficiently and selectively into surface lysines under the mild conditions;notable effects of N-glycans on proteins and living cells were visualized for the first time by PET and noninvasive fluorescence imaging.

Physical characteristics and quantitative elemental composition of PM and residual ash produced from sugarcane leaves(SCL)combustion were investigated using TEM-EDS compared with forest leaves(FRL).SEM-EDS was used to analyze the microstructure and chemical composition of biomass raw leaves and *** analysis was also performed to investigate the characterization of the crystalline nanostructure,structure of PM,and residual ash compared to the TEM image processing *** oxidation kinetics of biomass raw materials,PM,and residual ash were investigated by *** morphology of fine and ultrafine agglomerate structure of SCL soot and residual ash are not significantly different from the FRL soot and residual *** average diameter sizes of single primary nanoparticles of SCL and FRL soot are approximately 37 nm and 35 nm,while the sizes of residual ash are about 18 nm and 22 nm,*** single primary nanoparticles of soot are mainly composed of curve line crystallites of carbon fringes,while residual ash is composed of straightline lattice *** average fringe lengths of SCL and FRL soot are about 1.25 nm and 1.04 nm from the outer shell and 0.89 nm and 0.74 nm from the inner *** interlayer spacing of curve line carbon fringes of SCL and FRL soot is approximately 0.359 nm and 0.362 nm by the TEM image analysis and it was matched with XRD *** biomass PMs are mainly composed of soot,Si,Ca,and K compounds:SiO_(2),CaCO3,and KCl.
