Development of Mental Health Literacy Scale for Depression Affecting the Help-Seeking Process in Health Professional Students

Despite depression being a global mental health disorder,many people with depression do not seek psychiatric *** particular,it has been reported that only 15.7%of medical students seek treatment.A longer duration of untreated illness(DUI)leads to clinically poor *** shorten the DUI,the mental health literacy(MHL)with regard to depression needs to be improved,although it is unclear which MHL components will improve the help-seeking ***,the existing MHL scale for depression is poorly validated for structural ***,the purpose of this study was to develop an MHL scale for depression with verified reliability and validity(particularly structural validity)and verify its relationship with the help-seeking *** this purpose,we adapted the mixed research ***,we conducted a systematic literature review on MHL scales for depression to prepare a draft scale with content ***,we conducted semi-structured interviews on MHL with outpatients with ***,78 questions on MHL for depression were ***,to develop our scale,we verified the reliability and validity of these questions with 782 health professional *** sample size was 780 and data collection was performed by collective survey *** was conducted in 2018 in *** verify the factor structure,exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were *** also examined the internal consistency,test-retest reliability,and criterion-related *** exploratory factor analysis revealed a three-factor structure(recognition of depression symptoms,helpseeking preferences,and depression onset possibility)with 10 *** to the confirmatory factor analysis results,the goodness of fit indicators had a good *** internal consistency,test-retest reliability,and criterion-related validity had good ***,the relationship between the MHL of depression and other factors affecting the help-seeking process was

Automatic registration of MLS point clouds and SfM meshes of urban area

Recent advances in 3D scanning technologies allow us to acquire accurate and dense 3D scan data of large-scale environments ***,there are various methods for acquiring largescale 3D scan data,such as Mobile Laser Scanning(MLS),Airborne Laser Scanning,Terrestrial Laser Scanning,photogrammetry and Structure from Motion(SfM).Especially,MLS is useful to acquire dense point clouds of road and road-side objects,and SfM is a powerful technique to reconstruct meshes with textures from a set of digital *** this research,a registration method of point clouds from vehicle-based MLS(MLS point cloud),and textured meshes from the SfM of aerial photographs(SfM mesh),is proposed for creating high-quality surface models of urban areas by combining *** general,SfM mesh has non-scale information;therefore,scale,position,and orientation of the SfM mesh are adjusted in the registration *** our method,first,2D feature points are extracted from both SfM mesh and MLS point *** process consists of ground-and building-plane extraction by region growing,random sample consensus and least square method,vertical edge extraction by detecting intersections between the planes,and feature point extraction by intersection tests between the ground plane and the ***,the corresponding feature points between the MLS point cloud and the SfM mesh are searched efficiently,using similarity invariant features and ***,the coordinate transformation is applied to the SfM mesh so that the ground planes and corresponding feature points are ***,scaling Iterative Closest Point algorithm is applied for accurate *** results for three data-sets show that our method is effective for the registration of SfM mesh and MLS point cloud of urban areas including buildings.

Relationship between Corrosion Form and Elution Behavior of Copper Tubes Surfaces with Different Residual Carbon Amounts

It was well known that residual carbon on the inner surface of copper tubes was a cause of pitting corrosion, and copper tube surfaces with different residual carbon amount were different corrosion forms. In this study, the relation between corrosion form and elution of copper in immersion tests by accelerated corrosion test solutions was examined. Generally, pitting corrosion that occurs in actual machines was reported to observe chloride ion at the bottom of the pitting corrosion of copper tubes. Energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) mapping analysis indicated that chlorine was concentrated in the upper layer of the samples where copper was not detected under conditions of low residual carbon amount, while chlorine was concentrated under part of the micromounds (including the bottom of the pits) under conditions of high residual carbon amount. It was also suggested that the amount of copper eluted was related to the amount of residual carbon.

Fault-tolerant decentralized H-infinity control for multi-channel systems using homotopy method

This paper considers a fault-tolerant decentralized H-infinity control problem for multi-channel linear time-invariant systems. The purpose is to design a decentralized H-infinity output feedback controller *** the given system and achieve a certain H-infinity performance requirement both in the normal situation and in the situation where any one of the local controllers fails. The designed problem is reduced to a feasibility problem of a set of bilinear matrix inequalities （BMIs）. An algorithm is proposed to solve the BMIs. First, the normal situation is considered where all the local controllers are functioning. The local controllers are obtained from a standard centralized H-infinity controller by using a homotopy method imposing a structural constraint progressively. Secondly, the above case is extended to the one where any one of the local controllers fails. We again use a homotopy method where the coefficient matrices of the failed controller are decreased progressively to zero. The efficiency of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by an example.

AIM:To elucidate the effect of antioxidants,resveratrol (RVT)and astaxanthin(AXN),on hepatitis C virus(HCV) replication. METHODS:We investigated the effect of recent popular antioxidant supplements on replication of the HCV replicon system *** is a strong antioxidant and a kind of polyphenol that inhibits replication of various *** is also a strong *** replication of HCV RNA was assessed by the luciferase reporter *** additive effect of antioxidants on antiviral effects of interferon(IFN)and ribavirin(RBV) was ***:This is the first report to investigate the effect of RVT and AXN on HCV *** contrast to other reported viruses,RVT significantly enhanced HCV RNA *** E also enhanced HCV RNA replication as reported previously,although AXN didnot affect *** and RBV significantly reduced HCV RNA replication,but these effects were dose-dependently hampered and attenuated by the addition of *** didnot affect antiviral effects of IFN or RBV. CONCLUSION:These results suggested that RVT is not suitable as an antioxidant therapy for chronic hepatitis C.

We conducted molecular phylogenetic analyses of Japanese Rhacophorus species, especially of R. schlegelii and R. arboreus from the mainland, based on samples encompassing their known distribution ranges, and discussed about evolutionary history of Rhacophorus species within Japan. The common ancestor of Japanese Rhacophorus, except for R. owstoni from southern Ryukyus, was estimated to have diverged from a lineage occurring mainly in China about 7 MYBP. Both R. schlegelii and R. arboreus are genetically largely divergent between regions of eastern and western Japan, and this seems to have been promoted mainly by retreat to refugia. Retreats of the two species to different refugia sometimes in the past seem to have led restricted distribution of R. schlegelii in eastern and R. arboreus in western Japan, and brought their intraspecific variation patterns in morphology and breeding habit.

Evaluation of Expansion Process to Improve Corrosion Resistance of Copper Tubes with High Residual Carbon on the Inner Surface

Residual carbon on the inner surface of copper tubes is known to be a cause of pitting corrosion. We showed previously that the rapid filling test was useful to evaluate the pitting corrosion resistance of copper tubes. Immersion tests using the rapid evaluation test solution showed that corrosion occurs on the entire surface of copper tubes with low residual carbon amounts, while those with high residual carbon amounts show pitting corrosion. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the corrosion resistance of copper tubes with high residual carbon amount, which are expected to undergo pitting corrosion. As pitting corrosion occurs when anodes are locally concentrated on part of the metal surface, it has been suggested that anodes be dispersed over the entire surface by the processing of the metal surface. Metal processing methods have various purposes, including changing the shape and properties of metals, and in this case, leading to desirable surface properties (such as expansion and drawing processes). Here, we focused on the expansion process and its effects on corrosion resistance of copper tubes. The results showed that hydraulic expansion has a significant effect on the inner copper surface by improving corrosion resistance as the anode area increases.

＜正＞Rapidly accumulated gene expression data put forward the development of numerous methods for inferring gene regulatory networks and the efforts for critical performance assessment of these *** this paper,we propose an integrated pipeline for gene regulatory network inference motivated by the results and follow-up analysis of a blinded,community-wide challenge DREAM（Dialogue on Reverse Engineering Assessment and Methods） *** particular,we categorize the gene expression data into three types,i.e.,steady-state gene expression profile of knockout or knockdown experiments,steady-state gene expression profiles after multi-factorial perturbations,and time-series data after multi-factorial *** we analyze the three types of gene expression data by using the combination of fold change and t-test,the path consistency algorithm based on conditional mutual information,and the ordinary differential equation model,*** we integrate the three procedures to a pipeline for gene regulatory network inference by considering their complementarities. Performance for the network inference will be improved in the proposed pipeline by maximally utilizing information in the available data,emphasizing the knock-out and knock-down data,and differentiating the direct and indirect regulatory interactions.

Metallic Contaminant Detection using a High-Temperature Superconducting Quantum Interference Devices Gradiometer

We develop magnetic metallic contaminant detectors using high-temperature superconducting quantum interference devices （HTS-SQUIDs） for industrial products. Finding ultra-small metallic contaminants is an important issue for manufacturers producing commercial products such as lithium ion batteries. If such contaminants cause damages, the manufacturer of the product suffers a big financial loss due to having to recall the faulty products. Previously, we described a system for finding such ultra-smafi particles in food. In this study, we describe further developments of the system, for the reduction of the effect of the remnant field of the products, and we test the parallel magnetization of the products to generate the remnant field only at both ends of the products. In addition, we use an SQUID gradiometer in place of the magnetometer to reduce the edge effect by measuring the magnetic field gradient. We test the performances of the system and find that tiny iron particles as small as 50 × 50 μm^2 on the electrode of a lithium ion battery could be clearly detected. This detection level is difficult to achieve when using other methods.
