Sch.ttky barrier was formed between th. SnO and th. Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) nanosh.ets,acting as a h.le accumulation layer(h.Ls)between Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) and tin ***,th. sensing mech.nism based on th. formation of h.tero-junctions and h.gh.conductivity of th. metallic ph.se of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene in SnO-SnO_(2)/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) sensors was discussed in detail.

Background:In adults, epith.lial cell proliferation and apoptosis of th. gastric mucosa are induced by h.licobacter pylori infection and are associated with.gastric atroph. or gastric carcinoma. In ch.ldren, th.re are few studies about such.epith.lial ch.nges. To elucidate th. role of h. pylori infection in gastric mucosal inflammation, we immunoh.stoch.mically examined gastric mucosa of Japanese ch.ldren. Meth.ds:Biopsy specimens obtained from th. gastric antrum and corpus of h. pylori-infected (n = 13) and noninfected ch.ldren (n = 15) were studied for immunolocalization of Ki-67, single-strand DNA, manganese superoxide dismutase (Mn-SOD), and CD68, and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP-biotin nick-end labeling. In 10 patients with.successful eradication, pre-and post treatment results were compared. Results:In both.gastric antrum and corpus, neutroph.l and mononuclear cell infiltration, epith.lial cell proliferation, and apoptosis significantly increased in h. pylori-infected patients, predominantly in th. antrum. In th. antrum of h. pylori-infected patients, th.re was positive correlation between th. degrees of neutroph.l infiltration and cell proliferation (P h. pylori eradication improved mucosal inflammation, cell proliferation (P h. antrum. Mn-SOD immunoreactivity and CD68-positive macroph.ges in th. antrum, wh.ch.significantly increased in h. pylori-infected patients, decreased after th. eradication. Conclusions:h. pylori infection induced gastric mucosal inflammation and epith.lial cell turnover in ch.ldren. Moreover, gastric mucosal defense mech.nism against h. pylori infection was activated. h. pylori eradication in ch.ldh.od migh. prevent th. accumulation of gastric epith.lial cell damage.

To evaluate th. clinical efficacy of a procedure comprising a combination of Percoll continuous density gradient and modified swim-up tech.iques for th. removal of h.man immunodeficiency virus type 1 （h.V-1） from th. semen of h.V-1 infected males, a total of 129 couples with.an h.V-1 positive male partner and an h.V-1 negative female partner （serodiscordant couples） wh. were treated at Keio University h.spital between January 2002 and April 2012 were examined. A total of 183 ejaculates from 129 h.V-1 infected males were processed. After swim-up, we successfully collected motile sperms at a recovery rate as h.gh.as 100.0% in cases of normozoospermia （126/126 ejaculates）, oligozoospermia （6/6）, and asth.nozoospermia （36/36）. Th. recovery rate of oligoasth.nozoospermia was 86.7% （13/15）. In processed semen only four ejaculates （4/181：2.2%） sh.wed viral nucleotide sequences consistent with.th.se in th. blood of th. infected males. After using th.se sperms, no h.rizontal infections of th. female patients and no vertical infections of th. newborns were observed. Furth.rmore, no obvious adverse effects were observed in th. offspring. Th.s protocol allowed us to collect h.V-1 negative motile sperms at a h.gh.rate, even in male factor cases. We concluded th.t our protocol is clinically effective both.for decreasing h.V-1 infections and for yielding a h.alth. ch.ld.

Cylinder-sh.ped macrocycles composed ofπ-panels h.ve attracted special attention as one of th. best platforms for th. development of organic molecule-based ch.-roptical ***[n]arenes are a class of macrocycles with.th. advantage of easy preparation but h.ve not been extensively investigated from th. perspective of luminescent ***,common alkoxy pillar[n]arenes areﬂuorescent in non-h.loalkane solvents,sh.wing potential to be used for molecule-based ch.-roptical *** th.s work,circularly polarized luminescence(CPL)spectra are reported for a pillar[5]arene with.stable planar ch.rality using tetrah.drofu-ran(Th.)and cycloh.xane as solvents,wh.ch.h.s been missing for many *** pillar[5]arene also forms co-aggregates with.1,4-bis(ph.nyleth.nyl)benzene and 1,4-bis[(pentaﬂuoroph.nyl)eth.nyl]benzene in Th./h.O mixtures,owing to a h.droph.bic *** co-aggregates with.th.ﬂuorinatedπ-rod display a new low-energy absorption peak and broad emission band as well as intense circular dich.oism and CPL *** information from th. enantiopure pillar[5]arene core is efﬁciently transmitted to th. co-aggregates with.th.π-conjugated rod,lead-ing to th. h.gh.st dissymmetry factor for CPL(2.9×10-2 at 472 nm)among pillar[n]arene-based CPL materials.

Gastro-protective action of lafutidine mediated by capsaicin-sensitive afferent neurons with.ut interaction with.TRPV1 and involvement of endogenous prostaglandins

AIM： Lafutidine, a h.stamine h. receptor antagonist, exh.bits gastro-protective action mediated by capsaicinsensitive afferent neurons （CSN）. We compared th. effect between lafutidine and capsaicin, with.respect to th. interaction with.endogenous prostaglandins （PG）, nitric oxide （NO） and th. afferent neurons, including transient receptor potential vanilloid subtype 1 （TRPV1）. METh.DS： Male SD rats and C57BL/6 mice, both.wildtype and prostacyclin IP receptor knockout animals, were used after 18 h.of fasting. Gastric lesions were induced by th. po administration of h.l/eth.nol （60% in 150 mmol/L h.l） in a volume of 1 mL for rats or 0.3 mL for mice. RESULTS： Both.lafutidine and capsaicin （1-10 mg/kg, po） afforded dose-dependent protection against h.I/ eth.nol in rats and mice. Th. effects were attenuated by both.th. ablation of CSN and pretreatment with.NG-nitro- L-arginine meth.l ester, yet only th. effect of capsaicin was mitigated by prior administration of capsazepine, th. TRPV1 antagonist, as well as indometh.cin. Lafutidine protected th. stomach.against h.l/eth.nol in IP receptor knockout mice, similar to wild-type animals, wh.le capsaicin failed to afford protection in th. animals lacking IP receptors. Neith.r of th.se agents affected th. mucosal PGE2 or 6-keto PGF1α contents in rat stomach.. Capsaicin evoked an increase in [Ca^2＋]i in rat TRPV1-transfected h.K293 cells wh.le lafutidine did not. CONCLUSION： Th.se results suggest th.t alth.ugh.both.lafutidine and capsaicin exh.bit gastro-protective action mediated by CSN, th. mode of th.ir effects differs regarding th. dependency on endogenous PGs/IP receptors and TRPV1. It is assumed th.t lafutidine interacts with.CSN at yet unidentified sites oth.r th.n TRPV1.

川崎钢锭公司水岛工厂使用碱性氧气顶吹转炉(BOF)、Rh.气及大钢锭底注的联合方法,制出重达200t的锻造用大钢锭。比起通常用电炉生产的方法,本法具有下列优点:1)通过选用铁水,可使钢中有害元素如砷、锑、锡等降低到极小含量。这对生产核反应容器用钢也是很有利的。2)由于采用铁水脱硫及在碱性氧气顶吹转炉中钢水脱磷的先进技术,可使钢中硫和磷的含量分别控制在0.006％以下及0.002％以下。3)由于采用BOF吹氧、Rh.速脱气及在浇铸时防止吸收氢气的改进技术,可使锭模中钢水的氢含量平均维持在0.9ppm的水平。4)特殊摸计的底注方法可保证稳定地浇出氢含量、夹杂物和表面状态都令人满意的、重达200t的钢锭。

Dear Editor,MPL is a cytokine receptor th.t regulates th. production of myeloid cells,in particular megakaryocytes and platelets(Kaush.nsky,2005).Dimerization of MPL is important not only for th. initiation of signalling(Kaush.nsky,2005)but also for th. resistance to a recent th.rapy for myeloproliferative neoplasms(Koppikar et al.,2012).In th. current model,cytokine receptors exist as a mixture of monomers and dimers with.ut ligand stimulation,wh.le ligand binding induces additional receptor dimerization(Kaush.nsky,2005).

New meth.d for long-term monitoring of intragastric ph

AIM: Consecutive monitoring of intragastric ph.using th. Bravo? capsule. METh.DS: We put th.eads th.ough.a Bravo? capsule and th.n affixed it to th. gastric wall by endoscopic h.moclipping in seven subjects. Study data were uploaded to a computer via Datalink every 48 h. In th.s way,repeated monitoring of intragastric ph.was undertaken. RESULTS: All subjects were able to monitor gastric ph.over a 1-wk period,and five for > 2 wk. No complications were encountered during th. monitoring. After ph.monitoring,we safely retrieved th. capsule endoscopically. CONCLUSION: Clipping a Bravo? capsule onto th. gastric wall enabled long-term intragastric ph.monitoring. Th.s is a meth.dological report of ph.monitoring over a period of > 2 wk.

It is known th.t th. factors identified as contributing to th. bactericidal activity of h.neys are th. h.gh.sugar concentration, h.drogen peroxide (h.sub>2O2) and low ph. and its bactericidal components depend on h.ney plant and natural environment. Manuka h.ney h.s been studied a lot about bactericidal effect. h.wever, since Japanese h.neys are mainly used as food, detailed analyzes of bactericidal components and its actions h.ve not been reported. Th.refore, we analyzed bactericidal components contained in nine Japanese h.neys using Lucigenin-CL-h.LC. As our results, four species components of h.sub>2O2, glucose, fructose and meth.lglyoxal were detected from nine Japanese h.neys. Th. h.sub>2O2 concentrations were 4.1 × 10-5 - 1.8 × 10-4 mol/L, th. glucose concentrations were 1.4 - 2.8 mol/L, th. fructose concentrations were 1.9 - 2.4 mol/L, th. meth.lglyoxal concentrations were 4.0 × 10-3 - 1.6 × 10-2 mol/L. In th.s study, we confirmed th.t meth.lglyoxal is also contained in Japanese h.neys, alth.ugh.it is a bactericidal component wh.ch.is reported to be ch.racteristic of manuka h.ney. It is considered th.t th. furth.r study of Japanese h.neys is useful for more safe use, quality control, and clinical application.
