Social determinants of health(SDOH)affect quality of *** investigated SDOH impacts on self-perceived resilience among people with adult congenital heart disease(ACHD).Secondary analysis of data from two com-plementary studies:a survey study conducted may 2021–June 2022 and a qualitative study conducted June 2020–August *** was assessed through CD-RISC10 score(range 0–40,higher scores reﬂect greater self-perceived resilience)and interview *** and SDOH(education,employment,living situa-tion,monetary stability,ﬁnancial dependency,area deprivation index)data were collected by healthcare record review and *** used linear regression with robust standard errors to analyze survey data and performed a thematic analysis of interview *** participants(N=127)mean age was 42±14 years;51%were female,87%*** was moderate(75%)or complex(25%);41%functional class C or ***(mean 30±7)varied by monetary stability:compared to people with difﬁculty paying bills,resilience was 15.0 points higher(95%CI:6.9–23.1,pmoney and 14.2 points higher(95%CI:5.9–22.4,p=0.001)for those reporting just enough *** participants’(N=25)mean age was 32 years(range 22–44);52%were female,72%*** was moderate(56%)or complex(44%);76%functional class C or *** discussed factors affecting resilience aligned with each of the major SDOH,prominently,economic stability and healthcare access and *** stability may be important for supporting self-perceived resi-lience in *** knowledge can inform the development of resilience interventions for this population.

Age-related macular degeneration(AmD)is the leading cause of irreversible blindness in adults over 50 years ***,epidemiological,and molecular studies are beginning to unravel the intricate mechanisms underlying this complex disease,which implicate the lipid-cholesterol pathway in the pathophysiology of disease development and *** of the genetic and environmental risk factors associated with AmD are also associated with other complex degenerative diseases of advanced age,including cardiovascular disease(CVD).In this review,we present epidemiological findings associating AmD with a variety of lipid pathway genes,cardiovascular phenotypes,and relevant environmental *** a number of studies showing significant associations between AmD and these lipid/cardiovascular factors,results have been mixed and as such the relationships among these factors and AmD remain *** is imperative that researchers not only tease out the various contributions of such factors to AmD development but also the connections between AmD and CVD to develop optimal precision medical care for aging adults.

In Indonesia,undervirilisation in 46,XY males is the most common form of difference of sex development(DSD).This can include hypospadias(misplacement of the urethra),micropenis,bifid scrotum,and undescended testis[1].Undervirilisation or 46,XY DSD can be associated with a number of congenital syndromes,including Smith-Lemli-Opitz Syndrome(OmIm 602858),caused by an inborn error of cholesterol synthesis,and characterised by growth delay,intellectual disability,microcephaly,distinctive facial features,cleft palate,limb anomalies,and hypospadias[2]or Opitz syndrome(also known as Opitz G/BBB syndrome).Opitz syndrome can be caused by variants in the X-linked midline 1(mID1)gene(Type I)or in an autosomal dominant manner by monoallelic variants in sperm antigen with calponin homology and coiled-coil domains 1-like(SPECC1L)on chromosome 22q11.2(Type II)[3].Opitz syndrome is characterised by hypospadias,hypertelorism,cleft lip/palate,and heart defects[4].The prevalence of X-linked Opitz syndrome is estimated to be from 1 in 50000 to 1 in 100000 males[5].Recognition of a syndrome informs appropriate clinical management and patient ***,although these syndromes are rare,hypospadias may be diagnosed before the emergence of other comorbidities meaning that it is crucial for clinicians to perform a thorough clinical evaluation with syndromic causes in mind.

Recyclable and biodegradable microelectronics,i.e.,“green”electronics,are emerging as a viable solution to the global challenge of electronic ***,flexible circuit boards represent a prime target for materials development and increasing the utility of green electronics in biomedical *** board substrates and packaging are good dielectrics,mechanically and thermally robust,and are compatible with microfabrication ***(octamethylene maleate(anhydride)citrate)(POmaC)–a citric acid-based elastomer with tunable degradation and mechanical properties–presents a promising alternative for circuit board substrates and ***,we report the characterization of Elastomeric Circuit Boards(ECBs).Synthesis and processing conditions were optimized to achieve desired degradation and mechanical properties for production of stretchable *** traces were characterized and exhibited sheet resistance of 0.599Ωcm^(−2),crosstalk distance ofmm,and exhibited stable 0%strain resistances after 1000 strain cycles to 20%.Fabrication of single layer and encapsulated ECBs was demonstrated.

Background:This study examined real-world treatment and management of bacillus Calmette-Guérin(BCG)-unresponsive patients across 3 continents,including patients unable or unwilling to undergo *** and methods:Physicians actively involved in managing patients with nonmuscle invasive bladder cancer completed online case report forms for their 5 consecutive patients from the broad BCG-unresponsive population and a further 5 consecutive BCG-unresponsive patients who did not undergo cystectomy(in Japan,physicians provided a total of 5 patients across both cohorts).Results:most patients had received 1(37%)or 2(24%)maintenance courses of *** or more maintenance BCG courses were received by patients in Japan(59%)and China(31%),while in Germany 76%of patients received only 1 *** patients became BCG-unresponsive during their first(44%)or second(22%)treatment course;in Germany,77%became BCG-unresponsive during their first treatment *** countries did not provide another course of BCG after a patient first became unresponsive,whereas unresponsive patients in Japan and China were most likely to be retreated with BCG."Untreated-on watch and wait"was the main treatment/management approach received post-BCG treatment for 42%or more of patients in most countries except China(39%)and the United States(36%)."Following treatment guidelines"was consistently the top reason for post-BCG treatment selection across all treatment ***:This study confirmed the global unmet need for patients with nonmuscle invasive bladder cancer,and found that many patients experienced periods of no treatment after not responding to BCG therapy.

Background: Postpartum inflammation is a natural and necessary response;however, a dysfunctional inflammatory response can be detrimental to animal productivity. The objective of this study was to determine the effects of a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug(meloxicam) on ewe postpartum inflammatory response, ewe plasma polyunsaturated fatty acid and oxylipid concentrations, and lamb ***: After lambing, 36 Hampshire and Hampshire × Suffolk ewes were sequentially assigned within type of birth to control(n = 17) or meloxicam orally administered on d 1 and 4 of lactation(mEL;90 mg, n = 19). milk and blood samples were collected on d 1(prior to treatment) and d 4. milk glucose-6-phosphate was not affected by mEL. Plasma haptoglobin(Hp) concentrations were less for mEL ewes;control ewes with greater d 1 Hp concentrations had elevated Hp on d 4, but this was not the case for mEL-treated ewes. Treatment with mEL increased plasma arachidonic acid concentration by more than 4-fold in ewes rearing singles but decreased concentrations of 9,10-dihydroxyoctadecenoic acid, prostaglandin F2α, 8-iso-prostaglandin E2, and 8,9-dihydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid. Nine oxylipids in plasma had interactions of treatment with d 1 Hp concentration,all of which revealed positive associations between d 1 Hp and d 4 oxylipid concentrations for CON, but neutral or negative relationships for mEL. mEL decreased 13-hydroxyoctadecadienoic acid:13-oxooctadecadienoic acid ratio and tended to increase 9-hydroxyoctadecadienoic acid:9-oxooctadecadienoic acid ratio(both dependent on d 1 values), indicating progressive metabolism of linoleic acid-derived oxylipids occurred by enzymatic oxidation after mEL treatment. meloxicam reduced oxylipids generated across oxygenation pathways, potentially due to an improved redox ***: Postpartum mEL treatment of ewes decreased plasma concentrations of Hp and several oxylipids,with the greatest impact in ewes with biomarkers reflecting a greate

We constrain the host-star flux of the microlensing planet OGLE-2014-BLG-0676 Lb using adaptive optics(AO)images taken by the magellan and Keck *** measure the flux of the light blended with the microlensed source to be K=16.79±0.04 mag and J=17.76±0.03 *** that the blend is the lens star,we find that the host is a 0.73_(-0.29)^(+0.14)m_(⊙)star at a distance of2.67_(-1.41)^(+0.77)kpc,where the relatively large uncertainty in angular Einstein radius measurement is the major source of *** mass of m_(p)=3.68_(-1.44)^(+0.69)m_J,the planet is likely a"super Jupiter"at a projected separation of r_(⊥)=4.53_(-2.50)^(+1.49)AU,and a degenerate model yields a similar m_p=3.73_(-1.47)^(+0.73)m_(J)at a closer separation of r_(⊥)=2.56_(-1.41)^(+0.84)*** estimates are consistent with the previous Bayesian analysis based on a Galactic ***-2014-BLG-0676 Lb belongs to a sample of planets discovered in a"secondgeneration"planetary microlensing survey and we attempt to systematically constrain host properties of this sample with high-resolution imaging to study the distribution of planets.

most thin-film photovoltaic modules are constructed on soda-lime glass(SLG)substrates containing alkali oxides,such as Na_(2)*** may diffuse from SLG into a module's active layers through P1 lines,an area between a module's constituent cells where the substrate-side charge transport layer(CTL)is in direct contact with *** diffusion from SLG is known to cause several important effects inⅡ-Ⅵand chalcogenide solar modules,but it has not been studied in perovskite solar modules(PSms).In this work,we use complementary microscopy and spectroscopy techniques to show that Na diffusion occurs in the fabrication process of *** diffuses vertically inside P1 lines and then laterally from P1 lines into the active area for up to 360 *** propose that this process is driven by the high temperatures the devices are exposed to during CTL and perovskite *** diffused Na preferentially binds with Br,forming Br-poor,l-rich perovskite and a species rich in Na and Br(Na-Br)close to P1 ***-Br passivates defect sites,reducing non-radiative recombination in the perovskite and boosting its luminescence by up to 5×.Na-Br is observed to be stable after 12 weeks of device storage,suggesting long-lasting effects of Na *** results not only point to a potential avenue to increase PSm performance but also highlight the possibility of unabated Na diffusion throughout a module's lifetime,especially if accelerated by the electric field and elevated temperatures achievable during device operation.
