Asymmetri. flow-fi.ld flow fracti.nati.n-i.ducti.ely-coupled plasma-mass spectrometry was used to determi.e whether colloi.al arseni.（As） exi.ts i. soi. pore water and soi. extract samples at two arseni.-contami.ated abandoned gold mi.es（Montague and Goldenvi.le, Nova Scoti.）. Colloi.al arseni. was found i. 12 out of the 80 collected samples（= 15%）, and was pri.ari.y associ.ted wi.h i.on（Fe） i. the encountered colloi.s. The molar Fe/As rati.s i.di.ate that the colloi.s i. some samples appeared to be di.crete i.on–arseni. mi.erals, whereas i. other samples, they were more consi.tent wi.h As-ri.h i.on（oxy）hydroxi.es. Up to three di.crete si.e fracti.ns of colloi.al As were encountered i. the samples, wi.h mean colloi. di.meters between 6 and 14 nm. The pore water samples only contai.ed one si.e fracti.n of As-beari.g colloi.s（around 6 nm di.meter）, whi.e larger As-beari.g colloi.s were only encountered i. soi. extracts.

The i.pact of peri.heral i.mune status on di.ease progressi.n and MN survi.al i. becomi.g i.creasi.gly recogni.ed i. the ALS research fi.ld. i. thi. revi.w, we bri.fly di.cuss fi.di.gs from mouse models of peri.heral nerve i.jury and i.munodefi.i.ncy to understand how the i.mune system regulates MN survi.al. We extend these observati.ns to si.i.ar studi.s i. the wi.ely used superoxi.e di.mutase 1 （SOD1） mouse model of ALS. Last, we present future hypotheses to i.enti.y potenti.l causati.e factors that lead to i.mune dysregulati.n i. ALS. BACKGROUND: The i.abi.i.y of paramedi.s to perform accurate calculati.ns may result i. a compromi.e of pati.nt safety whi.h may result from under or over dosi.g of drugs, i.correct joules for defi.ri.lati.n, or a major adverse event such as death. The objecti.e of thi. study was to i.enti.y the drug calculati.n and mathemati.al abi.i.y of quali.i.d operati.nal ***: The study used a cross-secti.nal desi.n wi.h a paper-based calculati.n questi.nnai.e. Twenty paramedi.s enrolled i. an i.tensi.e care paramedi. course were eli.i.le to parti.i.ate i. the study. The questi.nnai.e consi.ted of demographi., drug calculati.n(seven questi.ns), and mathemati.al(fi.e) questi.ns. Students were gi.en no noti.e of the i.pendi.g study and use of a calculator was not ***: All eli.i.le students parti.i.ated i. the study. The average ti.e employed as a paramedi. was 7.25 years, SD 2.5 years, range four years to twelve years. Four(20%) students got all 12 questi.ns correct, and fi.e(41.6%) got 50% or less. The average score was 8.6(71.7%) correct, SD 2.8 correct, range 3 to 12 correct questi.ns. There were ei.ht(40%) conceptual errors, 12(60%) ari.hmeti.al errors, and fi.e(25%) computati.nal ***: The results from thi. study supports si.i.ar i.ternati.nal studi.s where paramedi.'s abi.i.y to undertake mathemati.al and drug calculati.ns wi.hout a calculator vari.s, wi.h some results hi.hli.hti.g the paramedi.s mathemati.al ski.ls as a potenti.l ri.k to pati.nt safety. These results hi.hli.ht the need for regular conti.ui.g mathemati.al and drug calculati.n practi.e and educati.n to ensure a lower error rate.

Psychologi.alevaluati.ns have found that urologi.al surgery may have a lasti.g i.pact on i.ferti.i.y-speci.i. stress, and treatment fai.ure canlead to feeli.gs of depressi.n, gri.f, and i.adequacy. Men tended to have an avoi.ant copi.g mechani.m throughout ferti.i.ytreatment, and thei. self-esteem, relati.nshi. quali.y, and sexual functi.ns can be ti.d to outcomes of treatment. Partner bonds canbe strengthened by mutual support and enhanced communi.ati.n;couple separati.n, however, has been noted as a predomi.antreason for di.conti.ui.g male i.ferti.i.y treatment and may be associ.ted wi.h di.fi.ult ci.cumstances surroundi.g severe malei.ferti.i.y.
