The development of zero and negative therma expansion （i.e.,ZTE and NTE） materials is of crucial importance to the control of undesirable thermal expansion for high-precision devices.In the present work,ZTE and NTE were obtained in directionally-solidified mnxFe5–xSi3alloys with a strongtexture,in striking contrast to positive thermal expansion in their isotropic counterparts magnetometry and in-situ X-ray diffraction （XRD） measurements were performed to uncover the origin of the anomalous thermal expansion.magnetic measurements indicate a strong easy-plane magnetocrystalline anisotropy in the textured samples,where the magnetic moments are aligned within the ab plane of the hexagonal structure Temperature-dependent XRD on the x=1 sample reveals a ZTE character in the ab plane that is coupled to a ferromagnetic transition.As a result,the macroscopic ZTE(～0.22×10–6K-1) in the x=1 sample can be attributed to the microscopic magneto volume effect within the ab plane,which is realized by the introduction of the-textured microstructure.Besides,the competition between antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic exchange coupling leads to NTE in textured x=1.5 and 2 samples.Additionally,textured x=1 sample displays enhanced magnetocaloric properties as compared to the conventional counterparts with randomly-oriented grains.Consequently this work demonstrates a new strategy toward the exploration of anomalous thermal expansion properties as well as the enhancement of magnetocaloric properties for materials with a strong magnetocrystalline anisotropy.

Background:Psycho social factors predict recurrent inj ury and return to preinjury level of performance following orthopedic injury but are poorly understood following concussion.Current management protocols prioritize physical measures of recovery.Therefore,the objective of this study was to describe the psychosocial factors associated with return to sport(RTS) and how they are measured in athletes who sustained a concussion.methods:mEDLINE,Embase,APA PsycINFO,CINAHL,and SPORTDiscus were searched through February 2,2021.Eligible studies included original peer-reviewed publications describing psychosocial factors associated with RTS following a diagnosed concussion.The primary outcome was scales or measures employed and/or key thematic concepts.Results:Of the 3615 studies identified,10 quantitative cohort studies(Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based medicine Level-3) representing 2032 athletes(85% male;high-school and collegiate collision/contact athletes) and 4 qualitative studies representing 66 athletes(74% male;70% American football;aged 9-28 years) were included.We identified 3 overarching themes and 10 outcome measures related to psychosocial factors associated with RTS following concussion:(a) fear(e.g,of recurrent concussion,of RTS,of losing playing status);(b) emotional factors(e.g,depression,anxiety,perceived stress,mental health,disturbance mood);and(c) contextual factors(e.g,social support,pressure,sense of identity).Conclusion:Although current medical clearance decisions prioritize physical measures of recovery,evidence suggests diverse psychosocial factors influence RTS following concussion.It remains unclear which psychosocial factors contribute to a successful RTS,including the influence of sex/gender and age.Future studies should evaluate the association of psychological readiness with physical measures of recovery at medical clearance,preinjury level of performance,and risk of recurrent concussion to support RTS clinical decision-making.

Aim:Dermal fillers are increasingly popular procedures.Inadvertent intraarterial injection of fillers,particularly with calcium hydroxylapatite(CaHA),can result in devastating consequences.A systemic review was performed to summarize management strategies to treat CaHA-associated vascular complications.methods:The methodology of this review was derived from The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and meta-analyses(PRISmA).In addition,this paper presents a previously unreported case of a CaHA-associated vascular complication.Results:There were 32 articles describing 42 cases,plus our case included in this review.There were 15 cases of vision complications,23 cases of non-vision complications,and 5 experimental studies.The most common injection sites reported were nasal region for vision complications(45%)and nasolabial folds for non-vision complications(40%).Of the 38 human cases,the most prevalent treatment choice was steroids(24 cases,63%).Complete or near complete improvement was reported in 83%of non-vision complications and 40%of vision complications.There was no noticeable homogeneity in the management strategies and outcomes of the patients.Of the 5 experimental studies,no clear consensus on treatments was found.Conclusion:Vascular complications of CaHA are seemingly uncommon,but it is widely suspected that this is due to underreporting.While best management is prevention,preparation for a potential complication is equally important.Derived from CaHA literature,hyaluronic acid filler complication protocols,findings of this review,and personal experiences,this report proposes management strategies for CaHA-associated vascular complications.We hope these strategies provide a much-needed framework for injectors to refer to and utilize as needed.

The distribution of many plant species has been shaped by climate changes,and their current phenotypic and genetic variability refect microclimatically suitable habitats.This study relates contemporary climate to variability patterns of phenotypic traits and molecular markers in the Argentinean distribution of Anadenanthera colubrina var.cebil,as well as to identify the most relevant phenotypic trait or molecular marker associated with those patterns.Individuals from four populations in both biogeographic provinces,Paranaense and Yungas,were investigated.multivariate analyses and multiple linear regressions were carried out to determine relationships among phenotypic traits and nuclear microsatellites,respectively,to climatic variables,and to identify the phenotypic traits as well as nuclear microsatellite loci most sensitive to climate.Two and three clusters of individuals were detected based on genetic and phenotypic data,respectively.Only clusters based on genetic data refected the biogeographic origin of individuals.Reproductive traits were the most relevant indicators of climatic effects.One microsatellite locus Ac41.1 appeared to be non-neutral presenting a strong correlation with climate variable temperature seasonality.Our findings show complex patterns of genetic and phenotypic variability in the Argentinean distribution of A.colubrina var.cebil related to the present or contemporary climate,and provides an example for an integrative approach to better understand climate impact on contemporary genetic and phenotypic variability in light of global climate change.

Background: Although growing evidence links beta-amyloid (Aβ) and neuronal hyperexcitability in preclinical mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease (AD), a similar association in humans is yet to be established. The first aim of the study was to determine the association between elevated Aβ (Aβ+) and cognitive processes measured by the P3 event-related potential (ERP) in cognitively normal (CN) older adults. The second aim was to compare the event- related power between CNAβ+ and CNAβ−. methods: Seventeen CNAβ+ participants (age: 73 ± 5, 11 females, montreal Cognitive Assessment [moCA] score 26 ± 2) and 17 CNAβ- participants group-matched for age, sex, and mOCA completed a working memory task (n-back with n = 0, 1, 2) test while wearing a 256-channel electro-encephalography net. P3 peak amplitude and latency of the target, nontarget and task difference effect (nontarget−target), and event-related power in the delta, theta, alpha, and beta bands, extracted from Fz, Cz, and Pz, were compared between groups using linear mixed models. P3 ampli-tude of the task difference effect at Fz and event-related power in the delta band were considered main outcomes. Correlations of mean Aβ standard uptake value ratios (SUVR) using positron emission tomography with P3 amplitude and latency of the task difference effect were analyzed using Pearson Correlation Coefficient r. Results: The P3 peak amplitude of the task difference effect at Fz was lower in the CNAβ+ group (P = 0.048). Simi-larly, power was lower in the delta band for nontargets at Fz in the CNAβ+ participants (P = 0.04). The CNAβ+ partici-pants also demonstrated higher theta and alpha power in channels at Cz and Pz, but no changes in P3 ERP. Strong correlations were found between the mean Aβ SUVR and the latency of the 1-back (r = − 0.69;P = 0.003) and 2-back (r = − 0.69;P = 0.004) of the task difference effect at channel Fz in the CNAβ+ group. The evolution of Internet topology is not always smooth but sometimes with unusual sudden changes. Consequently, identifying patterns of unusual topology evolution is critical for Internet topology modeling and simulation. We analyze IPv6 Internet topology evolution in IP-level graph to demonstrate how it changes in uncommon ways to restructure the Internet. After evaluating the changes of average degree, average path length, and some other metrics over time, we find that in the case of a large-scale growing the Internet becomes more robust; whereas in a top–bottom connection enhancement the Internet maintains its efficiency with links largely decreased.

The stable fly, Stomoxys calcitrans （L.）（Diptera： muscidae）, is a blood-feeding, economically important pest of animals and humans worldwide. Improved management strategies are essential and their development would benefit from studies on genetic di- versity of stable flies. Especially if done on a global scale, such research could generate information necessary for the development and application of more efficient control meth- ods. Herein we report on a genetic study of stable flies using amplified fragment length polymorphism, with samples of 10-40 individuals acquired from a total of 25 locations in the Nearctic, Neotropic, Palearctic, Afrotropic and Australasian biogeographical regions. We hypothesized that genetic differentiation would exist across geographical barriers. Although Fsx （0.33） was moderately high, the Gsx （0.05; representing genetic diversity between individuals） was very low; Nm values （representing gene flow） were high （9.36）. The mismatch distribution and tests of neutrality suggested population expansion, with no genetic differentiation between locations. The analysis of molecular variance （AmOVA） results showed the majority of genetic diversity was within groups. The mantel test showed no correlation between geographic and genetic distance; this strongly supports the AmOVA results. These results suggest that stable flies did not show genetic differentiation but are panmictic, with no evidence of isolation by distance or across geographical barriers.

Numerical sensitivity analysis of welding-induced residual stress depending on variations in continuous cooling transformation behavior

The usage of continuous cooling transformation （CCT） diagrams in numerical welding simulations is state of the art. Nevertheless, specifications provide limits in chemical composition of materials which result in different CCT behavior and CCT diagrams, respectively. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the influence of variations in CCT diagrams on the developing residual stresses. In the present paper, four CCT diagrams and their effect on numerical calculation of residual stresses are investigated for the widely used structural steel S355J2 ＋ N welded by the gas metal arc welding （GmAW） process. Rather than performing an arbitrary adjustment of CCT behavior, four justifiable data sets were used as input to the numerical calculation： data available in the Sysweld database, experimental data acquired through Gleeble dilatometry tests, and TTTICCT predictions calculated from the JmatPro and Edison Welding Institute （EWI） Virtual Joining Portal software. The performed numerical analyses resulted in noticeable deviations in residual stresses considering the different CCT diagrams. Furthermore, possibilities to improve the prediction of distortions and residual stress based on CCT behavior are discussed.

Biallelic loss-of-function variants in ATm (Ataxia Telangiectasia mutated) cause Ataxia Telangiectasia (AT), a rare disorder associated with cerebellar degeneration and ataxia, cancer predisposition, infertility, growth retardation, etc. ATm is a phosphoinositide 3-kinase-related kinase (PIKK) with a role in DNA repair and maintenance of genome stability. Studying a multisystem genetic disease like AT requires animal models to ascertain its pathogenesis at the level of tissues, organs and the organism. Due to its small size, cheap maintenance, large progeny, rapid development and initial transparency, zebrafish (Danio rerio) is an increasingly popular vertebrate model organism, suitable for genetic modifications and large-scale in vivo therapeutic screens as embryos are chemically permeable to small compounds. Currently, no zebrafish model for AT exists.1 We generated atm knock-outs through CRIPSR-Cas9 mutagenesis. We show that atm conserved its function as a tumour suppressor gene and is involved in gametogenesis and fertility. Therefore, this mutant is of great value for further studies investigating the role of atm in reproduction and tumorigenesis.
