背景：心房纤颤（简称房颤）与死亡和心血管事件（特别是卒中）危险性增加相关，因此，预防新发房颤是一个重要的临床问题。虽然心电图左心室肥厚（e.e.trocardiographic le.t ve.tricular hype.trophy，LVH）的存在及其严重程度可以预测房颤的发生，但是心电图LVH消退是否与房颤发生率下降相关尚不清楚。目的：验证降压治疗期间心电图LVH消退或持续消失与房颤发生率下降相关且独立于血压水平及治疗模式的假设。设计、方法及参试者：1995～2001年于8831例男性和女性高血压患者中进行双盲、随机、平行分组研究。患者年龄55～80岁（中位数，67岁），均根据心电图Come.l电压-间期乘积或Sokolow—Lyon电压标准诊断LVH。患者无房颤史，基线心电图无房颤，已入选氯沙坦干预降低终点事件高血压研究。干预：氯沙坦或阿替洛尔治疗方案，6个月时进行随访评估，之后每年随访，直至患者死亡或试验终止。主要观测指标：基线及随访各时点心电图LVH与新发房颤的相关性。心电图LVH的测量使用性别校正的Come.l乘积标准（{RavL＋Sv3[女性＋6mm]}×QRS间期）。结果：经过平均（SD）4．7（1．1）年的随访，治疗期间心电图Come.l乘积标准LVH消退或持续消失的患者有290例新发房颤（发生率为14．9／1000病人-年）；而心电图LVH持续或进展的患者则有411例新发房颤（19．0／1000病人-年）。时间依赖Cox分析显示，在校正治疗效果、基线房颤危险因素差异、基线及治疗期间血压以及基线LVH严重程度后，治疗期间Come.l乘积标准LVH降低作为一种时间变异协变量与新发房颤下降相关。Come.l乘积每下降1050mm×mse.（每个SD），新发房颤就下降12．4％（校正风险比[hazard ratio，HR]，0．88；95％可信区间[confide.ce.inte.val，CI]0．80～0．97；P=0．007）；氯沙坦减少高血压患者发生房颤的益处优于阿替洛尔（HR，0．83；95％CI，0．71～0．97；P=0．01）。结论：原发性高血压患者在降压治疗期间，心电图Come.l乘积标准LVH消退与新发房颤下降相关，而且独立于血压和治疗方案。这些发现提示，以降低或预防心电图LVH为目标的降压治疗可以降低新发房颤的发生率。

Building on the.pione.ring work of Je.n-Marie.André and working in the.laboratory he.founde., the.authors have.de.e.ope. a code.calle. FT-1D to make.Hartre.-Fock e.e.tronic structure.computations for ste.e.re.ular polyme.s using e.ald-type.conve.ge.ce.acce.e.ation me.hods. That code.also take. full advantage.of all line.group symme.rie. to calculate.only the.minimal se. of two-e.e.tron inte.rals and to optimize.the.computation of the.Fock matrix. The.pre.e.t communication re.orts a be.chmark study of the.FT-1D code.using polyte.rafluoroe.hyle.e.PTFe. as a te.t case. Our re.ults not only confirm the.algorithmic corre.tne.s of the.code.through agre.me.t with othe. studie. whe.e.the. are.applicable. but also show that the.use.of conve.ge.ce.acce.e.ation e.able. accurate.re.ults to be.obtaine. in situations whe.e.othe. wide.y-use. code.(e.g., PLH and Crystal) fail. It is also found that full atte.tion to the.line.group symme.ry of the.PTFe.polyme. le.ds to an incre.se.of be.we.n one.and two orde.s of magnitude.in the.spe.d of computation. The.ne. code.can the.e.ore.be.vie.e. as e.te.ding the.range.of e.e.tronic-structure.computations for ste.e.re.ular polyme.s be.ond the.pre.e.t scope.of the.succe.sful and valuable.code.Crystal.

A dominating se. of a graph G is a se. of ve.tice. that contains at le.st one.e.dpoint of e.e.y e.ge.on the.graph. The.domination numbe. of G is the.orde. of a minimum dominating se. of G. The.(t, r) broadcast domination is a ge.e.alization of domination in which a se. of broadcasting ve.tice. e.its signals of stre.gth t that de.re.se.by 1 as the. trave.se.e.ch e.ge. and we.re.uire.that e.e.y ve.te. in the.graph re.e.ve. a cumulative.signal of at le.st r from its se. of broadcasting ne.ghbors. In this pape., we.e.te.d the.study of (t, r) broadcast domination to dire.te. graphs. Our main re.ult e.plore. the.inte.val of value. obtaine. by conside.ing the.dire.te. (t, r) broadcast domination numbe.s of all orie.tations of a graph G. In particular, we.prove.that in the.case. r = 1 and (t, r) = (2, 2), for e.e.y inte.e. value.in this inte.val, the.e.e.ists an orie.tation of G which has dire.te. (t, r) broadcast domination numbe. e.ual to that value. We.also inve.tigate.dire.te. (t, r) broadcast domination on the.finite.grid graph, the.star graph, the.infinite.grid graph, and the.infinite.triangular lattice.graph. We.conclude.with some.dire.tions for future.study.

Se.ual size.dimorphism （SSD） is wide.pre.d among dive.se.animal taxa and has attracte. the.atte.tion of e.olutionary biologists for ove. a ce.tury. SSD is like.y to be.adaptive.and the.re.ult of dive.ge.t se.e.tion on diffe.e.t size.optima for male. and fe.ale., give. the.r diffe.e.t role. in re.roduction. The.de.e.opme.tal traje.tory le.ding to SSD may he.p us to unde.stand how se.e.tion acts on male.and fe.ale.size. He.e. we.de.cribe.the.growth and de.e.opme.t of two Australian praying mantids, Pse.domantis albofimbriata and Hie.odula majuscula including the.numbe. of moults, time.to adulthood, size.at e.ch moult, and the.de.re. of SSD. While.both spe.ie. e.hibit the.common patte.n of fe.ale.biase. SSD, the.numbe. of moults re.uire. for individuals to re.ch adulthood diffe.e. be.we.n male. and fe.ale. and be.we.n spe.ie.. De.pite.the.r large. adult size. P. albofimbriata fe.ale. re.uire.fe.e. moults and le.s time.than male. to re.ch adulthood, but are.significantly large. than male. from the.se.ond instar onwards. In contrast, H. majuscula male. re.che. adulthood in fe.e. moults, and le.s time.than fe.ale., howe.e. male. and fe.ale. did not diffe. in size.until fe.ale. we.t through the.r final moult into adulthood. H. majuscula also re.uire. more.time.and more.moults to re.ch adulthood than 17. albofimbriata. We.discuss the.e.diffe.e.t de.e.opme.tal pathways in light of the.e.isting knowle.ge.of re.roductive.biology for e.ch spe.ie.. We.also sugge.t that the.e.diffe.e.ce. may re.ate.to the.diffe.e.t phe.ologie. that occur in strongly se.sonal te.pe.ate.e.vironme.ts compare. with those.in the.tropics. This study provide. e.ide.ce.that SSD can re.ult from two diffe.e.t patte.ns of growth and de.e.opme.t in close.y re.ate. spe.ie..
