Fungal diversity on fallen leaves of Ficus in northern Thailand

Fallen leaves of Ficus altissima, F. virens, F. benjamina, F. fistulosa and F. semicordata, were collected in Chiang Mai Province in northern Thailand and examined for fungi. Eighty taxa were identified, comprising 56 anamorphic taxa, 23 ascomycetes and l basidiomycete. Common fungal species occurring on five host species with high frequency of occurrence were Beltraniella nilgirica, Lasiodiplodia theobromae, Ophioceras leptosporum, Periconia byssoides and Septonema harknessi. Colletotrichum and Stachybotrys were also common genera. The leaves of different Ficus species supported diverse fungal taxa, and the fungal assemblages on the different hosts showed varying overlap. The fungal diversity of saprobes at the host species level is discussed.

We present an overview of previous research results on the molecular phylogenetic analyses in Agaricales and its higher ranks (Agaricomycetes/Agaricomycotina/Basidiomycota) along with the most recent treatments of taxonomic systems in these taxa. Establishing phylogenetic hypotheses using DNA sequences, from which an understanding of the natural evolutionary relationships amongst clades may be derived, requires a robust dataset. It has been recognized that single-gene phylogenies may not truly represent organismal phylogenies, but the concordant phylogenetic genealogies from multiple-gene datasets can resolve this problem. The genes commonly used in mushroom phylogenetic research are summarized.

The phylogeny of Phylloporus(Boletaceae)has not been well studied,and the taxonomic relationships of this genus have varied considerably among *** following study presents phylogenetic relationships of Phylloporus based on two nuclear ribosomal DNA regions,ITS and *** ITS dataset includes 39 collections and the LSU dataset contains 50 collections of Phylloporus.A combined analysis of both genes did not resolve the deeper nodes in the phylogeny,but the results suggest that Phylloporus is monophyletic and a sister group of the Xerocomus subtomentosus *** lamellate hymenophore configuration is a synapomorphy that distinguishes Phylloporus from the other genera in the *** placement of a lamellate genus within Boletaceae suggests that hymenophore evolution is not well understood in the *** is the first phylogeny of Phylloporus and includes 20 species from different geographic *** taxa of Phylloporus from the Old World are here *** cyanescens is a new combination for an Australasian taxon formerly named as a variety of ***(Massee)*** pumilus is described from Indonesia,and 4 species are described from Thailand:***,***,***,and ***.

＜正＞Research and development on biological control of plant diseases has been being undertaken in the past several decades by both government and private company sectors for taking place the chemical *** problem worldwide which associated to the use of hazardous chemicals for disease control that has been interesting attention due to the pathogen become resistant to chemical fungicide and it causes the environmental pollution and ecological *** implementation of practical integrated biological control technology of plant diseases in the fields has been successfully introduced to the growers in Thailand,Philippines,People Republic of China,Russia and Vietnam by using a new broad spectrum biological fungicides namely Ketomium （Thailand Patent No.6266,International Code:AO1N 25/12）.The biological product has been gradually developed since 1989 from 22-strains of Chaetomium cupreum CC01-CC10 and Chaetomium globosum CG01-CG12 in the form of pellet and powder *** has been successful applied in the infested field-soils which integrated with cultural control measures and organic amendment for long-term protection of Phytophthora rot of Durian（Durio zibethinus L）,and Tangerine（Citrus’reticulate Blanco）,Black Pepper（Piper nigram L.）and Strawberry（Fragaria spp.）,Fusarium Wilt of Tomato （Lycopersicon esculentum L.）,and Basal rot of Corn（Zea mays L.）*** concluded that the research findings on bio-control technology of plant disease in practice has successfully demonstrated either completely or partially when integrating to other control measures for appropriate disease management.

＜正＞Using a combination of morphological and molecular data,the genus Micropsalliota is shown to represent a monophyletic lineage in the Agaricaceae sister to *** that distinguish the genus from Agaricus and allied genera include usually small,gracile basidiomes with a membranous partial veil, dextrinoid basidiospores with an apically thickened endosporium and lack of a germ pore,capitate or subcapitate, conspicuous cheilocystidia,and incrusted pileipellis hyphae that turn green in ammonia *** provide a monographic treatment of 23 taxa of Micropsalliota from Northern Thailand,of which 13 taxa represent new distribution reports for Thailand and 10 represent new taxa,including ***,***,***,M. lateritia ***,***,***,***,*** var. rubrobrunnescens,*** ***,and *** in this monograph are comprehensive descriptions,illustrations of micromorphological features,photographs of basidiomes,comparisons with allied species,phylogenetic trees inferring relationships amongst Thai species based on nrITS and nrLSU sequence datasets,and a key to aid in diagnosis.
