Gene capture by transposable elements leads to epigenetic conflict in maize

Inflammation is a common phenomenon in wound healing and upon implantation of cell supportive matrices(i.e. scaffolds) on defect sites. Local and nonlocal drug administrations are the two ways of delivering drugs(for example anti-inflammatory drugs) to wound sites. since localized drug delivery via scaffolds can overcome the disadvantages of systemic(nonlocal) drug delivery, the use of scaffolds as drug delivery vehicle is growing rapidly in tissue engineering field. Moreover, in most cases of tissue regeneration, it is necessary to develop scaffolds that can mimic native three dimensional(3D) extracellular matrices(ECMs) either in vitro or in vivo. In such cases, the scaffolds should bear the properties required for high cell infiltration. For exact mimicking the native 3D ECMs, ultrafine fibrous morphology of the scaffold with sufficient inter fiber gaps(for high cell infiltration) is obvious. Recently, ultrafine fibrous three dimensional(uf3D) scaffolds were developed via ultra-low concentration phase separation technique(ULCPs) where the scaffolds exhibited the potential to mimic native 3D ECMs like morphology. If drugs can be delivered from uf3 D scaffolds in a sustained manner, it can add more value to the tissue engineering field. But no work reported drug loading and release profile from uf3 D scaffolds and only a limited number of materials were used to prepare such scaffolds before. Proteins were used frequently by researchers in tissue engineering field for their biodegradability and biocompatibility. Moreover, water is used as solvent for most proteins which reduces risk of toxic contamination. so, proteins namely gelatin(Gt), regenerated silk fibroin(RsF) and fibrinogen(FB) were initially chosen in this work for fabrication of uf3 D scaffolds and followed by drug loading and release experiments. 本文介绍用反渗透膜(RO)和超滤膜(uf)的方法,对浸出混合油的溶剂进行回收研究的结果。用乙醇、异丙醇和己烷溶剂对不同的反渗透膜和超滤膜的渗透速率和分离特性进行了测定。其中有一个膜获得流量(乙醇)为8149.166335L/(m^2·d)透过物中含油量达1％的结果。但用己烷溶剂试验时,使试验膜马上损坏,适合于己烷的膜,不但流量低,而且油滞留率也低,效果不能令人满意。工业用的膜在中试中也进行了试验,在尝试用空心纤维膜装置进行己烷分离时,膨胀的纤维微孔几乎闭合。而有些工业上用的膜则以合理的流速从混合油中选择除去溶剂,适用于用乙醇或异丙醇做溶剂的混合油的分离。

In this work,38 different organic emerging contaminants(ECs),belonging to various chemical classes such as pharmaceuticals(PhCs),endocrine-disrupting chemicals(EDCs),benzotriazoles(BTRs),benzothiazoles(BTHs),and perfluorinated compounds(PFCs),were initially identified and quantified in the biologically treated wastewater collected from Athens’(Greece)sewage Treatment Plant(sTP).Processes already used in existing sTPs such as microfiltration(MF),nanofiltration(NF),ultrafiltration(uf),UV radiation,and powdered activated carbon(PAC)were assessed for ECs’removal,under the conditions that represent their actual application for disinfection or advanced wastewater *** results indicated that MF removed only one out of the 38 ECs and hence it was selected as pretreatment step for the other *** radiation in the studied conditions showed low to moderate removal for 5 out of the 38 *** showed better results than uf due to the smaller pore sizes of the filtration ***,this enhancement was observed mainly for 8 compounds originating from the classes of PhCs and PFCs,while the removal of EDCs was not statistically *** the various studied technologies,PAC stands out due to its capability to sufficiently remove most *** particular,removal rates higher than 70%were observed for 9 compounds,22 were partially removed,while 7 demonstrated low removal *** on our screening experiments,future research should focus on scaling-up PAC in actual conditions,combining PAC with other processes,and conduct a complete economic and environmental assessment of the treatment.

Antibiotics are widely used in fire blight management programs,yet there are no studies that demonstrate the evaluation of their efficacy in ***,the present study was conducted to investigate the effects of the active ingredients in five commercial products(kasumin■2L,Agrygent Plus■,Agricultural Terramycin■,Agrimicin100,and Actigard■)on fire blight suppression,and fruit yield and quality of apple(Malus domestica Borkh.)*** *** experiment was conducted in a commercial orchard using a completely randomized block design,with six treatments:(1)Oxytetracycline[Ox],110 mg L^(−1);(2)kasugamycin[kas],4.7 mL L^(−1);(3)Oxytetracycline+Gentamicin[Ox+Gen],48 mg L^(−1)+12 mg L^(−1);(4)streptomycin+Oxytetracycline[str+Ox],90 mg L^(−1)+9 mg L^(−1);(5)Acibenzolar-s-methyl[AsM],70 mg L^(−1);and(6)Control,only water,with four replications,and three 11-year-old trees as an experimental *** of infection including flowers,shoots and fruits,yield and fruit quality were *** treatments suppressed infection in flowers,shoots,and *** provided the highest levels of reduction of flower and shoot infection,while kas had the least effect on the reduction of infection in these *** Ox+Gen treatment had the greatest suppression of fruit infection,and the best results on fruit yield and quality,followed by Ox and *** is the first study conducted to evaluate the efficacy of the active ingredients of five commercial products used for the management of fire blight in apple trees in Mexico.
