Objectives:Sciadopitysin(SP)is aﬂavonoid in Ginkgo biloba that exhibits various pharmacological *** study aimed to investigate its antitumor effects and the underlying molecular mechanism of SP in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)***:Network pharmacology was used for target prediction *** Counting Kit-8(CCK-8)assay was used to test the cell *** cytometry was used to test the cell cycle distribution,apoptosis status,and reactive oxygen species(ROS)*** and wound-healing assay was used to test the migration effect of SP on HepG2 *** blot assay was used to test the expression levels of ***:Network pharmacology analysis results showed that the mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)and other signaling pathways are involved in the SP anti-HCC biological ***-8 assay results demonstrated that SP showed an obvious killing effect on three types of HCC cells and low cytotoxic effect on normal *** blot andﬂow cytometry results showed that SP regulated MAPK/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)/nuclear factor kappa-b(NF-κb)signaling pathway to induce mitochondrion-dependent apoptosis in HepG2 ***,SP can arrest the G0/G1 phase cell cycle via the protein kinase b(AKT)/p21/p27/cyclin-dependent kinase(CDK)/Cyclin signaling *** healing and transwell assays showed that SP inhibited cell motility and invasion through the AKT/glycogen synthase kinase3β(GSK-3β)/vimentin/β-catenin signaling ***:Theseﬁndings demonstrated that SP induced mitochondrion-dependent apoptosis,arrested cell cycle in the G0/G1 phase,and inhibited cell migration by regulating the ROS-mediated signaling pathway in HepG2 ***,SP could serve as a therapeutic agent for the treatment of human HCC.

The design and synthesis of novel photocatalyst with self-temperature control function is an important topic in the field of advanced environmental functional *** this work,submicron-sized magnetic phase change microcapsules composed of paraffin core and Fe_(3)O_(4)-loaded silica shell are prepared,on which the bi_(2)WO_(6)crystals is grown in situ through hydrothermal reaction to obtain novel magnetic phase-change-microcapsule-supported bi_(2)WO_(6)catalyst(MP@FS/bWO).The MP@FS/bWO has a paraffin encapsulation ratio of 57.1%,and the phase change enthalpy of 105.1 J/g in a temperature range of 50–60℃,which endows the MP@FS/bWO with a certain self-temperature regulation ***@FS/bWO shows excellent catalytic performance in the decomposition of rhodamine b under the simulated sunlight *** the light source is turned off,it still has good catalytic ability by maintaining high temperature due to its temperature control function based on the phase transition *** MP@FS/bWO can be easily recycled by magnetic separation and shows good structural stability and *** work provides a new idea for the development of long-effect and energy-saving outdoor photocatalysts.

In this study,the double loaded Co-Fe-b@g-C_(3)N_(4)/NF(NF:Ni foam)thin film catalysts were prepared for the first time via chemical deposition method at room *** optimizing the reducing agent concentration to 0.9 mol·L^(-1),the as-obtained Co-Fe-b@g-C_(3)N_(4)/NF exhibited the twisted ribbon structure with more distinct three-dimensional hierarchy and the smaller particle size,showing the good catalytic property for the hydrolysis of NabH_(4)*** H_(2)generation rate of Co-Fe-b@g-C_(3)N_(4)/NF and binary Co-b@g-C_(3)N_(4)/NF under visible light irradiation surpassed the value under natural *** apparent activation energy of Co-Fe-b@g-C_(3)N_(4)/NF(45.0 kJ·mol^(-1))under visible light irradiation was obviously reduced when compared with the natural condition(48.4 kJ·mol^(-1))and binary Co-b@g-C_(3)N_(4)/NF(60.6 kJ·mol^(-1))under visible light ***,the catalytic performance of the optimized Co-Fe-b@g-C_(3)N_(4)/NF thin film catalyst was superior to most of the reported non-noble metal and even noble metal ***,it illustrated that the catalytic H_(2)production performance of Co-Fe-b@g-C_(3)N_(4)/NF thin film was distinctly improved after the introduction of light and multicomponent recombination.

Huntington'sdisease(HD)isahereditary neurodegenerative disorder for which there is currently no ***,the development of appropriate disease models is critical to thoroughly investigate disease *** genetic basis of HD involves the abnormal expansion of CAG repeats in the huntingtin(HTT)gene,leading to the expansion of a polyglutamine repeat in the HTT *** HTT carrying the expanded polyglutamine repeat undergoes misfolding and forms aggregates in the brain,which precipitate selective neuronal loss in specific brain *** models play an important role in elucidating the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative disorders such as HD and in identifying potential therapeutic *** to the marked species differences between rodents and larger animals,substantial efforts have been directed toward establishing large animal models for HD *** models are pivotal for advancing the discovery of novel therapeutic targets,enhancing effective drug delivery methods,and improving treatment *** have explored the advantages of utilizing large animal models,particularly pigs,in previous *** then,however,significant progress has been made in developing more sophisticated animal models that faithfully replicate the typical pathology of *** the current review,we provide a comprehensive overview of large animal models of HD,incorporating recent findings regarding the establishment of HD knock-in(KI)pigs and their genetic *** also explore the utilization of large animal models in HD research,with a focus on sheep,non-human primates(NHPs),and *** objective is to provide valuable insights into the application of these large animal models for the investigation and treatment of neurodegenerative disorders.

Porous titanium alloy is currently widely used in clinical treatment of orthopaedic diseases for its lower elastic modulus and ability to integrate with bone *** the micro-level,cells can respond to different geometries,and at the macro-level,the geometric design of implants will also affect the biological function of *** this study,three kinds of porous scaffolds with square,triangular and circle rod shapes were designed and 3D *** study observed the proliferation and differentiation of MC3T3-E1 cells during surface culture of the three types of *** also evaluated the characteristics of the three scaffolds by means of compression tests and scanning electron microscopy to provide a reference for the design of porous titanium alloy implants for clinical *** trends of cell proliferation and gene expression between the three types of scaffolds were observed after treatment with two *** results show that the square rod porous scaffolds have the best proliferative and osteogenic activities,and these findings may be due to differences in piezo-type mechanosensitive ion channel component 1(Piezo1)and Yes-associated protein(YAP)expression caused by the macro-geometric topography.

Inspired by the dynamic wet adhesive systems in nature,various artificial adhesive surfaces have been developed but still face different ***,the theoretical mechanics of wet adhesives has never been sufficiently ***,we develop a novel adhesive mechanism for governing wet adhesion and investigate the biological models of honeybee arolium for reproducing the natural wet adhesive ***-nano structures of honeybee arolium and arolium-prints were observed by Cryogenic scanning electron microscopy(Cryo-SEM),and the air pockets were found in the contact interface ***,the adhesive models with a three-phase composite interface(including air pockets,liquid secretion,and hexagonal frames of arolium),were formed to analyze the wet adhesion of honeybee *** results of theoretical calculations and experiments indicated an enhanced adhesive mechanism of the honeybee by liquid self-sucking effects and air-embolism *** these effects,normal and shear adhesion can be adjusted by controlling the proportion of liquid secretion and air pockets in the contact ***,the air-embolism effects contribute to the optimal coupling of smaller normal adhesion with greater shear adhesion,which is beneficial for the high stride frequency of *** works can provide a fresh perspective on the development of bio-inspired wet adhesive surfaces.

The mass application of Hall thrusters poses the need for a diagnostic method of ionization mechanism in the discharge channel to boost the iteration and optimization of thruster *** work presents an Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES) method for diagnostics of the contribution of different ionization mechanisms and the flux of ions in different valences in the discharge channel of a Hall *** emission spectra in the discharge channel are analyzed by jointly utilizing a collisional-radiative model,an ionization-excitation model,and a flux-conservation *** is found that the intensities of some spectral lines can be converted into the reaction rates of collision processes,e.g.,electron-induced excitation and ionization *** latter can further be used to determine the evolutions of particle fluxes by utilizing the conservation law of *** novel method is demonstrated on a kilo-watt Hall *** evolutions of several parameters are determined using this method along the discharge channel,including the ionization rates of different mechanisms,particle fluxes,particle densities,and particle *** novel method can be further developed by being jointly utilized with spectral imaging and tomography techniques,enabling diagnostics of multi-dimensional distributions of the above-mentioned parameters in the discharge channel and near-field plume.

ObJECTIVES To evaluate the predictive value of fasting plasma glucose(FPG)for in-hospital mortality in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI)with different glucose metabolism *** We selected 5,308 participants with AMI from the prospective,nationwide,multicenter CAMI registry,of which 2,081 were diabetic and 3,227 were *** were divided into high FPG and low FPG groups according to the optim-al cutoff values of FPG to predict in-hospital mortality for diabetic and nondiabetic cohorts,*** primary endpoint was in-hospital *** Overall,94 diabetic patients(4.5%)and 131 nondiabetic patients(4.1%)died during hospitalization,and the optimal FPG thresholds for predicting in-hospital death of the two cohorts were 13.2 mmol/L and 6.4 mmol/L,*** with individuals who had low FPG,those with high FPG were significantly associated with higher in-hospital mortality in diabet-ic cohort(10.1%vs.2.8%;odds ratio[OR]=3.862,95%confidence interval[CI]:2.542-5.869)and nondiabetic cohort(7.4%vs.1.7%;HR=4.542,95%CI:3.041-6.782).After adjusting the potential confounders,this significant association was not ***-more,FPG as a continuous variable was positively associated with in-hospital mortality in single-variable and multivariable models regardless of diabetic *** FPG to the original model showed a significant improvement in C-statistic and net reclassification in diabetic and nondiabetic *** This large-scale registry indicated that there is a strong positive association between FPG and in-hospital mor-tality in AMI patients with and without *** might be useful to stratify patients with AMI.

Citrus yellow vein clearing virus(CYVCV)is a new citrus virus that has become an important factor restricting the development of China’s citrus industry,and the CYVCV coat protein(CP)is associated with viral *** this study,the Eureka lemon zinc finger protein(ZFP)ClDOF3.4 was shown to interact with CYVCV CP in vivo and in *** expression of ClDOF3.4 in Eureka lemon induced the expression of salicylic acid(SA)-related and hypersensitive response marker genes,and triggered a reactive oxygen species burst,ion leakage necrosis,and the accumulation of free ***,the CYVCV titer in ClDOF3.4 transgenic Eureka lemon plants was approximately 69.4%that in control plants 6 mon after inoculation,with only mild leaf chlorotic spots observed in those transgenic *** together,the results indicate that ClDOF3.4 not only interacts with CP but also induces an immune response in Eureka lemon by inducing the SA *** is the first report that ZFP is involved in the immune response of a citrus viral disease,which provides a basis for further study of the molecular mechanism of CYVCV infection.
