Conservation of challenging endemic plant species at high risk of extinction in arid mountain ecosystems:a case study of Rosa arabica Cré*** Egypt

Rosa arabica Cré*** a perennial shrub belonging to the family *** is endemic to the high mountain area of *** Protected Area(SCPA)in southern Sinai,Egypt,and is listed as one of the most 100 threatened plants in the ***,it has been listed as critically endangered by IUCN Red List due to its small extent of occurrence and tiny population *** reported the continuous decline in habitat quality for this species and the urgent need to carry out on-ground conservation ***,this research aims to conserve Rosa arabica through in situ practices by implementing the following steps,respectively:a)evaluate the current conservation status through IUCN Red List to extract the environmental factors controlling the species’distribution necessary for establishing the recovery program,b)determine the potential species habitat suitability under the current climate conditions using Maxent,and c)based on the previous two steps,the translocation process for *** in the suitable habitat will be done after the simple layering process as one of the most effective traditional vegetative methods for wild cultivation for this *** steps aimed to reduce the impact of threats and the risk of extinction through increasing the population size,the Extent of Occurrence(EOO),and the Area of Occupancy(AOO).We extracted the environmental factors controlling the target species’distribution and habitat suitability range using the IUCN Red List assessment and Species Distribution Model(SDM).The most suitable habitat for *** is predicted in the middle northern parts of SCPA,with the highest suitability in the High *** of driest quarter,precipitation of wettest month,precipitation of coldest quarter,and aspect are the highest mean contributors determining the distribution of *** in *** arabica potential distribution covers 324.4 km^(2)(7.46%)of the total SCPA area(4350 km^(2)).This area is divided into:18.1 km^(2)high

Metamaterial Antennas are a type of antenna that uses metamaterial to enhance *** bandwidth restriction associated with small antennas can be solved using metamaterial *** learning is gaining popularity as a way to improve solutions in a range of *** learning approaches are currently a big part of current research,and they’re likely to be huge in the *** model utilized determines the accuracy of the prediction in large *** goal of this paper is to develop an optimized ensemble model for forecasting the metamaterial antenna’s bandwidth and *** basic models employed in the developed ensemble are Support Vector Regression(SVR),K-NearestRegression(KNR),Multi-Layer Perceptron(MLP),Decision Trees(DT),and Random Forest(RF).The percentages of contribution of these models in the ensemble model are weighted and optimized using the dipper throated optimization(DTO)*** choose the best features from the dataset,the binary(bDTO)algorithm is *** proposed ensemble model is compared to the base models and results are recorded and analyzed *** addition,two other ensembles are incorporated in the conducted experiments for *** ensembles are average ensemble and K-nearest neighbors(KNN)-based *** comparison is performed in terms of eleven evaluation *** evaluation results confirmed the superiority of the proposed model when compared with the basic models and the other ensemble models.

Objectives: The main objective was to evaluate antibiotic prescribing in the Department of Pediatrics at Gabriel Touré teaching hospital. Methods: This was a prospective descriptive study conducted from September 1 to November 31, 2018, in the Department of Pediatrics at Gabriel Touré teaching hospital. All children aged 0 to 15 years hospitalized for any pathology during the study period and having received at least one antibiotic had been included. Results: We collected 445 children’s records out of 1032 admissions during the study period, representing a hospital frequency of 43.1%. The sex ratio was 1.3%. The 2 - 5 age group accounted for 48.1%. Fever was the reason for consultation in 45.6% of cases. Patients’ general condition was altered in 60% of cases. The fathers were blue-collar workers in 65.4% and the mothers housewives in 85%, and had no education in 42.9% and 64.5% respectively. Hepatomegaly was present in 18.2%, splenomegaly in 9.6% and peripheral adenopathy in 3.1%. The site of infection was pulmonary in 37.6% and ENT in 9.2%. Bacterial infection was assumed on admission in 54% of cases, and meningitis in 57.7%. The discharge diagnosis was malaria in 54.6%, severe acute malnutrition in 18.6% and meningitis in 6.7%. The death rate was 3.8%. Neutrophilic leukocytosis was present in 47.3% of patients. CRP was positive in 85% of patients. Blood cultures taken in 27.6% of patients were positive in 5. CSF analysis in 30% of patients showed elevated leukocytes in 6.5%. No cultures were positive. Antibiotic prescription was justified by infectious hypotheses in 43.1% of patients. β-lactam antibiotics were prescribed in 98.6%. Antibiotic therapy was not adapted to national/international recommendations in 68.3% of cases, and was not justified in 16.3% of cases on D5 of hospitalization. Generating Adversarial Samples on Multivariate Time Series using Variational Autoencoders

Classification models for multivariate time series have drawn the interest of many researchers to the field with the objective of developing accurate and efficient ***,limited research has been conducted on generating adversarial samples for multivariate time series classification *** samples could become a security concern in systems with complex sets of *** study proposes extending the existing gradient adversarial transformation network(GATN)in combination with adversarial autoencoders to attack multivariate time series classification *** proposed model attacks classification models by utilizing a distilled model to imitate the output of the multivariate time series classification *** addition,the adversarial generator function is replaced with a variational autoencoder to enhance the adversarial *** developed methodology is tested on two multivariate time series classification models:1-nearest neighbor dynamic time warping(1-NN DTW)and a fully convolutional network(FCN).This study utilizes 30 multivariate time series benchmarks provided by the University of East Anglia(UEA)and University of California Riverside(UCR).The use of adversarial autoencoders shows an increase in the fraction of successful adversaries generated on multivariate time *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first study to explore adversarial attacks on multivariate time ***,we recommend future research utilizing the generated latent space from the variational autoencoders.

Bianchi Type-I Anisotropic Universe with Metric Potential in Saez-Ballester Theory of Gravitation

Bianchi Type-I cosmological model in the presence of Saez-Ballester theory gravitation is studied. An exact solution of the field equation is given by considering the cosmological model yield a metric potential included with a real number. The relation between the deceleration parameter and Hubble parameter and average scale factor is used in that cosmological model. The effect of the viscosity on the entropy of the universe is utilized by energy momentum tensor with bulk viscous terms in a conservative manner. We obtained a formula for calculating the entropy of the universe in terms of viscosity and used it to compare to the study. Also, various physical and kinematical properties have been discussed.

Correlation of p53 over-expression and alteration in p53 gene detected by polymerase chain reaction-single strand conformation polymorphism in adenocarcinoma of gastric cancer patients from India

AIM:To study the alterations in p53 gene among Indian gastric cancer patients and to correlate them with the various clinicopathological parameters. METHODS:A total of 103 gastric cancer patients were included in this *** p53 alterations were studied by both immunohistochemical method as well as polymerase chain reaction(PCR)-single strand conformation polymorphism(SSCP)*** only studied four(exon 5,6,7,and 8)of the 11 p53 *** alterations in p53 were also correlated with respect to various clinicopathological parameters. RESULTS:Among 103 cases,p53 over-expression and alteration were detected in 37(35.92%)and 19(18.44%)cases,*** of the p53 alterations were found at exon 5(31.54%),followed by exon 6(26.31%),exon 7(21.04%)and exon 8(21.04%).A significant correlation of p53 over- expression was found with p53 alteration(P=0.000). Concordance between p53 alteration(as detected by SSCP)and over-expression[as detected by immunohistochemistry(IHC)]was found in 75%cases. We found that IHC-positive/SSCP-negative cases accounted for 21%of cases and IHC-negative/SSCP- positive cases accounted for remaining 4%cases. CONCLUSION:Our results show that p53 genemutations are significantly correlated with p53 protein overxpression,with 75%concordance in overexpression and alteration in the p53 gene,but 25% disconcordance also cautions against the assumption that p53 over-expression is always associated with a gene *** may be other mechanisms responsible for stabilization and accumulation of p53 protein with no evidence of gene mutation that reflect an accumulation of a non-mutated protein,or a false negative SSCP result.

Trans-/cis-olefin isomers play a vital role in the petrochemical *** paucity of energy-efficient technologies for their splitting is mainly due to the similarities of their physicochemical ***,two new tailor-made anion-pillared ultramicroporous metal–organic frameworks(MOFs),ZU-36-Ni and ZU-36-Fe(GeFSIX-3-Ni and GeFSIX-3-Fe)are reported for the first time for the efficient trans-/cis-2-butene(trans-/cis-C_(4)H_(8))mixture splitting by enhanced molecular ***,ZU-36-Ni unexpectedly exhibited smart guest-adaptive pore channels for trapping trans-C_(4)H_(8)with a remarkable adsorption capacity(2.45 mmol∙g^(−1))while effectively rejecting cis-C_(4)H_(8)with a high purity of 99.99%.The dispersion-corrected density functional theory(DFT-D)calculation suggested that the guest-adaptive behavior of ZU-36-Ni in response to trans-C_(4)H_(8)is derived from the organic linker rotation and the optimal pore dimensions,which not only improve the favorable adsorption/diffusion of trans-C_(4)H_(8)with optimal host–guest interactions,but also enhance the size-exclusion of cis-C_(4)H_(8).This work opens a new avenue for pore engineering in advanced smart or adaptive porous materials for specific applications involving guest molecular recognition.

Diagnosis, seismic analysis and reinforcement of an old building in El-Maleh, Algeria

The Northern part of Algeria is considered to be the most active seismogenic area in the Western Mediterranean region. This area has a rich history of seismicity and had experienced many destructive earthquakes such as the Chlef （1954）, El-Asnam （1980）, Beni-Chograne （1994）, AYn-Temouchent （1999） and recently Boumerdes （2003） earthquakes. The earthquake of AYn-Temouchent on December 22, 1999, was of magnitude 5,7, killed at least 28 people and made thousands of families homeless. Consequent damage was seen in all the structures located in a radius of 30 kin. In the city of E1-Maleh, located 12 km northeast of Ain-Temouchent, the ＂The National Bank Branch＂ of E1-Maleh suffered moderate damage, but enough to justify questions about its safety. The project of rehabilitating this building required a broad analysis of its static and dynamic, past and present behaviors. The study reported in this paper was a necessary preliminary step toward the development of an optimal retrofit solution.

对于容量快速增长、日趋多元化的大数据,业界亟需开发可行性更好的存储工具。为满足大数据存储需求,存储机制已经形成从传统数据管理系统到No SQL技术的结构化转移。然而,目前可用的大数据存储技术无法为持续增长的异构数据提供一致、可扩展和可用的解决方案。在科学实验、医疗保健、社交网络和电子商务等实际应用中,存储是大数据分析的第一步。截至目前,亚马逊、谷歌和阿帕奇等公司形成了大数据存储方案的行业标准,但尚未有关于大数据存储技术性能和容量提升的深入调查和文献报告。本文旨在对目前可用于大数据的最先进的存储技术进行全面调查,提供了一个明确的大数据存储技术分类方法,以帮助数据分析师和研究人员了解和选择更适合其需求的存储机制。我们使用布鲁尔的CAP定理比较和分析了现有存储方法,评估了不同存储架构的性能,讨论了存储技术的意义、应用及其对其他类别数据的支持。为了加快部署可靠和可扩展的存储系统,文中还突出了未来研究面临的几个挑战。
