Performance of Two Food Substrates in the Mass Rearing of Bactrocera dorsalis Hendel (Diptera: Tephritidae)

The fruit fly Bactrocera dorsalis Hendel is a major constraint to mango production in Burkina Faso. The objective of this study was to evaluate the performance of two types of food substrates in optimizing the mass rearing of B. dorsalis larvae. For this purpose, 200 eggs of B. dorsalis were divided into four batches of 50 eggs and incubated in Petri dishes containing the different food substrates (Diet 1 and Diet 2). This method was used to evaluate the rate and duration of egg hatching, as well as the development time of the different larval stages. In addition, 1200 pupae divided into four batches of 300 pupae, contained in PVC tubes, were placed inside the rearing cages to monitor the emergence of B. dorsalis. Ten pairs of B. dorsalis were placed in rearing cages and fed with Enzymatic Yeast Hydrolysate and sugar to evaluate the fecundity of female flies and the survival of both sexes. The developmental cycle length in Diet 1 and Diet 2 was 23.03 days and 23.24 days, respectively. Fecundity duration ranged from 57.75 ± 2.29 to 109.81 ± 3.81 days for females from Diet 1 and Diet 2, respectively. The pupal hatching rate varied significantly (P B. dorsalis, but the spawning index was 4 times higher with Diet 1. Most of the components of Diet 1 are available on the local market and are cheaper. Thus, we recommend the use of Diet 1 for B. dorsalis larvae mass rearing.

Effectiveness of Four Integrated Pest Management Approaches in the Control of Fruit Flies (Diptera: Tephritidae) in Mango Agro-Ecosystems in the South-Sudanian Zone of Burkina Faso

This study evaluated the effectiveness of four Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approaches in the control of Bactrocera dorsalis (Hendel) [Diptera: Tephritidae] and Ceratitis cosyra (Walker) [Diptera: Tephritidae] during two consecutive mango fruiting seasons (2018 and 2019) in the south-Sudanian zone of Burkina Faso. These approaches, including sanitation + M3 bait station (SM), sanitation + protein GF-120 bait (SG), sanitation + Timaye + M3 bait station (STM) and sanitation + Timaye + GF-120 bait (STG), were implemented in 12 mango orchards in three provinces of the country. In each province, one mango orchard was used as control. Flies per trap per week (FTW) and damage indices were assessed in treated orchards compared to the control orchards. The efficacy rate of each IPM approach in protecting mango against fruit fly attacks was also determined. The STG approach was the most effective in reducing both B. dorsalis and C. cosyra FTW with the best efficacy rate. Further research should emphasize indigenous and affordable attract-and-kill tools for resource poor farmers.

The diagnosis of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(nAFLD)and metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease only on the basis of laboratory parameter score such as Hepatic Steatosis Index which includes liver enzymes,gender,basal metabolic index,and presence of diabetic mellitus is not sufficient to exclude other causes of deranged liver enzymes especially medications and autoimmune related liver *** the guideline suggests ultrasound is the preferred first-line diagnostic procedure for imaging of nAFLD,as it provides additional diagnostic information and the combination of biomarkers/scores and transient elastography might confer additional diagnostic accuracy and evident from previous similar studies too.

Hydrometallurgy two stage process for preparation of (nd,La,Ce)_(2)O_(3) from end-of-life niMH batteries

The present work aims to investigate the recovery of light rare earth elements(LREEs) oxides from end-oflife niMH batteries using a hydro metallurgical process followed by effective *** operational leaching parameters such as phosphoric acid concentration,temperature,and the solid-liquid ratio were first optimized by Box-Behnken *** results reveal that under optimum conditions([H_(3)PO_(4)]=2 mol/L,T=80℃,and S/L=1:10 g/mL) the leaching efficiencies of ni,Co reach 98.1% and99.3%.While La,Ce,and nd elements remain in the leaching residue as(La,Ce,nd)PO_(4) with yields of 98.2%,98.6%,and 99.6% for La,Ce,and nd,***,the(La,Ce,nd)PO_(4) is leached with HCl acid,then the rare earth oxalate was precipitated using oxalic acid at a pH of 1.8 and then the product was calcined at 800℃ for 2 h in order to synthesize the(nd,La,Ce)_(2)O_(3).The analysis using scanning electron microscopy(SEM) coupled with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX) confirms the homogeneity of(nd,La,Ce)_(2)O_(3) particles that have two morphologies,i.e.,flower and sticks with a particle size between 3and 6 μ*** unit cell parameters of(nd,La,Ce)_(2)O_(3) were calculated after Rietveld refinement of the XRD patterns,in the space group of Fm-3m are a=b=c=0.57921 nm and the volume equal to 0.194322 nm^(3).

Accurate 3D Thermal network Development for Direct-drive Outer-rotor Hybrid-PM Flux-switching Generator

Heat and thermal problems are major obstacles to achieving high power density in compact permanent magnet(PM)***,a comprehensive,accurate,and rapid temperature rise estimation method is required for novel electric machines to ensure safe and reliable operations.A unique three-dimensional(3D)lumped parameter thermal network(LPTn)is presented for accurate thermal modeling of a newly developed outer-rotor hybrid-PM flux switching generator(OR-HPMFSG)for direct-drive ***,the losses of the OR-HPMFSG are calculated using 3D finite element analysis(FEA).Subsequently,all machine components considering the thermal contact resistance,anisotropic thermal conductivity of materials,and various heat flow paths are comprehensively modeled based on the thermal *** the proposed 3-D LPTn,internal nodes are considered to predict the average temperature as well as the hot spots of all active and passive *** measurements are performed on a prototype OR-HPMFSG to validate the efficiency of the 3-D LPTn.A comparison of the results at various operating points between the developed 3-D LPTn,experimental test,and FEA indicates that the 3-D LPTn quickly approximates the hotspot and mean temperature of all components under both transient and steady states with high accuracy.

Rock fall accidents in mountainous cliff areas have significant consequences for human life and *** study aimed to evaluate the rockfall hazard in the Cap Aokas cliff region located along the northeast coast of Algeria by identifying the key factors contributing to rockfall *** employed a combination of kinematic analysis,Matterocking method,and 3D trajectory simulations to determine zones that are susceptible to rockfall *** using a probabilistic and structural approach in conjunction with photogrammetry,we identified the controlling *** kinematic analysis revealed the presence of five discontinuity families,which indicated both plane and wedge failure *** 3D trajectory simulations demonstrated that the falling blocks followed the stream *** then validated the susceptibility maps generated from the analysis using aerial photos and historical rockfall *** findings of this study enhance our understanding of rockfall phenomena and provide valuable insights for the development of effective strategies to mitigate rockfall hazards.

Inventory and Distribution of Mango Mealybugs Species in Western Burkina Faso: Relative Abundance and Population Fluctuation

Rastrococus invadens was the only reported mealybug species on the mango tree in Western Burkina Faso. This study aimed at carrying out the inventory and showing the importance and distribution of other mealybug species associated with the mango tree. It was also important to determine the periods of abundance of these species vis-a-vis R. invadens. For this purpose, the density of mealybugs was assessed in three study sites (Toussiana, Bérégadougou and Orodara) in Western Burkina Faso. The observations were made from June 2014 to June 2015 at a frequency of 15 ± 1 days. They focused on 20 leaves (5 leaves/cardinal point) levied on each mango tree. The species identified as Ferrisia virgata Cockerell and Icerya aegyptiaca Douglas were collected from mangos infested by R. invadens representing 98% - 99% of the density of the observed mealybug species. The periods of abundance of F. virgata and I. aegyptiaca were respectively the dry season and the rainy season. The effect of temperature, relative humidity and rainfall on the populations of F. virgata and I. aegyptiaca was also discussed. These results highlight the distribution range of F. virgata and I. aegyptiaca worldwide including Burkina Faso. R. invadens was the main mealybug species on mango in Burkina Faso in general and in the Western region of the country in particular.

确保片上网络（network-on-chip，noC）中的数据传输无死锁，是noC为多处理器片上系统（multi-processor system-on-chip，MPSoC）提供可靠通信服务的前提，决定了noC甚至MPSoC的可用性.现有的通用防死锁策略难以发挥出特定拓扑结构自身特点和优势，甚至可能会增加网络延迟、功耗以及硬件复杂性.另外，由于路由级和协议级死锁存在显著差异，现有无死锁方案较难同时解决这2类死锁问题，影响了MPSoC的可靠性.利用基三众核架构（Triplet-based many-core architecture，TriBA）中拓扑结构自身具有的哈密顿特性提出了基于同步哈密顿环的无死锁策略，该策略依据拓扑结构自身的对称轴和哈密顿边对数据传输进行分类，预防了协议级死锁并提高了数据传输速度；同时使用循环链表技术判断同一缓冲区内数据同步传输方向，消除了路由级死锁并降低了数据传输延迟.在优化前瞻路由算法基础上，设计了基于同步哈密顿环的无死锁路由机制（Hamiltonian shortest path routing，HamSPR）.GEM5仿真结果表明，与TriBA现有方法相比，HamSPR在合成流量下的平均数据包延迟和功耗分别降低了18.78% ～ 65.40% 和6.94% ～ 34.15%，吞吐量提高了8.00% ～ 59.17%；在PARSEC测试集下的应用运行时间和平均数据包延迟分别最高实现了16.51%和42.75%的降低.与2D-Mesh架构相比，TriBA在PARSEC测试集下的应用性能实现了1% ～ 10%的提升.

Geochemistry of island arc assemblage in the Eastern Desert of Egypt and the role of Pan-African magmatism in crustal growth of the Arabian–nubian Shield:A review

neoproterozoic island arc assemblage of the Arabian–nubian Shield(AnS)in the Eastern Desert(ED)of Egypt comprises juvenile suites of metavolcanics(MV),large amounts of meta-sedimentary rocks(MS),and voluminous metagabbros-diorites(MGD)and syn-tectonic intrusions of older granitoids(OG).We report here the updates of these four rock units in terms of classification,distribution,chemical characteristics,geodynamic evolution,metamorphism,and *** addition,we discuss these integrated data to elucidate a reasonable and reliable model for crustal evolution in the *** main features of these rock units indicate their relation to each other and the geodynamic environment dominated by early immature oceanic island arcs to primitive continental *** information of the island arc metavolcanic and plutonic rocks(gabbros,diorites,tonalites,and granodiorites)furnish evidence of the genetic *** include proximity and a coeval nature in the field;all protolith magmas are subalkaline in nature following calc-alkaline series with minor tholeiitic affinities;common geochemical signature of the arc rocks and subduction-related magmatism;their similar enrichment in LREEs;and similar major element compositions with mafic melts derived from metasomatized mantle *** volcano-sedimentary and the OG rocks underwent multiphase deformation events whereas the MGD complexes deformed *** on the magmatic,sedimentological,and metamorphic evolutions constrained by geochronological data as well as the progressive evolutionary trend from extensional to compressional regimes,a possible gradual decrease in the subducted slab dip angle is the most infl uential in any geodynamic model for arc assemblage in the ED of Egypt.
