Background:The aim of this in vitro study was to compare side-by-side two models of human bilayered tissue-engineered skin substitutes(hbTESSs)designed for the treatment of severely burned *** are the scaffold-free self-assembled skin substitute(SASS)and the human plasma-based skin substitute(HPSS).Methods:Fibroblasts and keratinocytes from three humans were extracted from skin biopsies(N=3)and cells from the same donor were used to produce both hbTESS *** SASS manu-facture,keratinocytes were seeded over three self-assembled dermal sheets comprising fibroblasts and the extracellular matrix they produced(n=12),while for HPSS production,keratinocytes were cultured over hydrogels composed of fibroblasts embedded in either plasma as unique biomaterial(Fibrin),plasma combined with hyaluronic acid(Fibrin-HA)or plasma combined with collagen(Fibrin-Col)(n/biomaterial=9).The production time was 46-55 days for SASSs and 32-39 days for *** were characterized by histology,mechanical testing,PrestoBlue™-assay,immunofluorescence(Ki67,Keratin(K)10,K15,K19,Loricrin,type IV collagen)and Western blot(type I and IV collagens).Results:The SASSs were more resistant to tensile forces(p-value<0.01)but less elastic(p-value<0.001)compared to HPSSs.A higher number of proliferative Ki67+cells were found in SASSs although their metabolic activity was *** epidermal differentiation,no significant difference was observed in the expression of K10,K15,K19 and ***,the production of type I and type IV collagens and the adhesive strength of the dermal-epidermal junction was higher in ***:This study demonstrates,for the first time,that both hbTESS models present similar in vitro biological ***,mechanical properties differ and future in vivo experiments will aim to compare their wound healing potential.

This paper deals with the Course Timetabling Problem at an institution in a Tunisian University. We introduce a heuristic procedure to construct a feasible timetable for all lectures and tutorials taken by different groups of each sub-section of any section. We describe the timetabling problem using a list of all specific hard and soft constraints. We formulate the problem as a set of linear constraints using two sets of binary variables corresponding to lectures and tutorials, respectively. This heuristic is illustrated with real data for a sub-section of the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences of Sfax in Tunisia, and the resulting timetables are compared with those generated manually. The results of another full section have confirmed the good quality of the proposed heuristic when compared with the hand made solution.

Goal Achieving Probabilities of Mean-Variance Strategies in a Market with Regime-Switching Volatility

In this paper, we establish properties for the switch-when-safe mean-variance strategies in the context of a Black-Scholes market model with stochastic volatility processes driven by a continuous-time Markov chain with a finite number of states. More precisely, expressions for the goal-achieving probabilities of the terminal wealth are obtained and numerical comparisons of lower bounds for these probabilities are shown for various market parameters. We conclude with asymptotic results when the Markovian changes in the volatility parameters appear with either higher or lower frequencies.

目的探讨基于问题的学习(PBL)教学结合标准化病人考核在康复治疗师规范化培训中的应用效果。方法选取2021年3月至2022年9月在上海市第一康复医院进行规范化培训的康复治疗师40名,按照随机数字表法将其分为观察组和对照组,每组20名。两组康复治疗师前半年培训均采用常规化基础教学模式,对照组后半年培训采用常规化专科教学模式,观察组后半年培训采用PBL教学模式,培训周期1年。培训半年和培训1年后,采用标准化病人对两组康复治疗师进行实操技能考核。培训前和培训1年后,采用中文版批判性思维能力量表、自制问卷调查评估两组康复治疗师的批判性思维能力和培训满意度。结果两组康复治疗师培训1年后的实操技能成绩较组内培训半年后提高,差异均有统计学意义(P0.05)。培训1年后,观察组康复治疗师的实操技能成绩[(87.15±2.17)分]显著高于对照组[(81.14±3.22)分]。与培训前比较,两组康复治疗师培训1年后的批判性思维能力均有所改善(P<0.05),且观察组培训1年后的开放思想[(42.62±3.40)分]、追求真相[(42.43±3.37)分]、系统化能力[(42.16±3.05)分]、分析能力[(42.16±3.04)分]、求知欲[(41.46±2.50)分]、认知成熟度[(42.46±4.40)分]、自信心[(42.10±3.43)分]7个特质的得分及总分[(295.13±9.12)分]较对照组优异。观察组培训1年后对教学方法的满意度、学习中自我满意度均较对照组高,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论PBL教学结合标准化病人考核能有效提高规范化培训康复治疗师的操作技能水平,提升其批判性思维能力,培训满意度较高。

NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS OF THE EMISSION-LINE REGIONS OF QUASARS

The luminous quasars are the most distant objects we can directly observe. Once understood, their emission lines will measure the quasar’s luminosity and the composition of the interstellar medium of the host galaxy. Unfortunately the emitting plasma is far from equilibrium, and its conditions are set by a host of microphysical processes. The equations of statistical and thermal equilibrium must be solved to determine the ionization distribution, level populations, and kinetic temperature as a function of depth. Simultaneously the line and continuum radiative transfer problems are solved to predict the observed spectrum. A complete simulation involves many hundreds of stages of ionization, many thousands of levels, with populations determined by a vast sea of atomic and molecular processes, many with accurate cross sections and rate coefficients only now becoming available. This is a problem at the very forefront of atomic and computational physics. Once complete, we will be able to map out the first generations of stellar processing in the cores of massive galaxies, and directly chart the expansion of the universe when it had an age under a billion years.

Characterization and Application of the Makoua Clay in the Chemical and Bacteriological Depollution of Gutter and Well Waters of Brazzaville

In this work, the authors made aquatic filters according to the formulation “clay stabilized at 4% of cement mixed with 4% of kambala sawdust and 10% of white sand” then heated to 1050°C to decontaminate the waters of gutters and wells. The authors carried out geotechnical, geochemical, thermal, infrared spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy that analyzed the clay material. Geotechnical analyzes have shown that this material is made up of 22% thin sand, 22% of silt, and 56% of clay with 26 plasticity index. The geochemical analysis showed the presence of trace elements shared out as follows: 3% of alkaline metals, 24% of alkaline earth metals, 46% of transition metals, 10% of metal, 16% of lanthanides, 1% of actinides. The most abundant trace elements are barium (19%), vanadium (12%), chromium (11%) and zinc (9%). The thermal and microscopic analyzes revealed the kaolinitic nature of materials. The chemical depollution studies have shown elimination yields of 50% - 52.38% of sulphates;77.33% - 85.19% of phosphates;34.85% - 88.49% nitrates;91.3 - 100 of sulphides;The removal of bacteriological pollution are 92.8% - 98% of total germs;94% - 97% of total coliform and 95% - 98% of E. coli.

Does food addiction distinguish a specific subgroup of overweight/obese overeating women?

Neurophysiological and behavioral similarities have been evidenced between excessive food consumption leading to obesity and addiction to other substances. In accordance, food addiction was defined following the DSM-IV diagnostic criteria for substance dependence. The aim of this pilot study was to identify a subgroup of women suffering from food addiction (n = 11), and to compare them to women suffering from substance-use disorder (n = 23), and to women seeking treatment for compulsive overeating but free from food addiction (n = 12) on addiction-related characteristics (reward sensitivity, impulsivity, personality traits, depression, emotion dysregulation). We hypothesized that women with food addiction would be similar to women with substance-use disorders, and different from women with compulsive overeating without food addiction. Participants completed self-reported questionnaires assessing food addiction and other variables related to addiction. Almost half (47.8%) of women with compulsive overeating fulfilled the criteria for food addiction. Although food addiction does not account for every case of compulsive overeating, it characterizes a specific subgroup of overweight/obese women who show more severe overeating. Women with food addiction seem to be more similar to women suffering from substance-use disorders than to other women with overeating difficulties, particularly regarding impulsivity and self-directedness.

Characterization of the Natural and Organomodified Clay Soil of Moukosso (Republic of Congo) by Dimethylsulfoxide: Application to the Adsorption of Lead (II) in Aqueous Solution

In this study, the authors characterized the raw clayey soil of Moukosso and modified by dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) by several analytical methods, namely: X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and gravimetric thermal analysis (TGA). The cation exchange capacity (CEC) was also determined. Mineralogical analysis by XRD revealed the presence of muscovite (29.7%), kaolinite (8.9%), anatase (2.4%) and quartz (58.9%). The characterization of the organo-clay by infrared and by thermogravimetric analysis confirmed the intercalation of DMSO by the presence of vibration bands at 1008 cm-1 and 1070 cm-1 and a strong increase in the loss of mass. The cation exchange capacity of the raw material is 7.4 meq/100g. Rapid adsorption of Pb2+ ions was observed between 5 and 15 minutes of stirring time in both cases (raw clay and organomodified clay). The modeling of the isotherms by the models of Langmuir and Freudlich showed that these are of type S with a maximum amount of adsorption of 22.471 mg/g for the fine fraction and 41.493 mg/g for the clay intercalated with DMSO. Langmuir’s model best reproduces the experimental data of this study.
