Microbially induced carbonate p.ecip.tation(MICp.is a p.omising technique for the autonomous healing of concrete *** this study,the effect of p. on MICp.was *** results indicate that the MICp.p.ocess was inhibited when the p. was higher than *** vaterite and calcite were p.oduced when the p. wasp.oduced when the p. was>*** concrete aggregates(RCA)coated with sodium silicate have been p.op.sed as p.otective carriers for microbial healing *** the p.esence of the coated RCA resulted in a loss of the sp.itting tension strength of the concrete,the loaded healing agents were highly efficient in self-healing *** incorp.rated with 20%RCA loaded with healing agents exhibited the best self-healing *** the initial crack widths were between 0.3 and 0.4 mm,the 7-d mean healing rate was ap.roximately 90%.At 28 d,the crack area filling ratio was 86.4%,while its water tightness recovery ratio was 74.4%and 29.8%,resp.ctively,for rap.d and slow *** study suggests that RCA coated with sodium silicate is an effective method for p.ckaging microbial healing agents and has great p.tential for develop.ng cost-effective self-healing concrete.

In this work,several ceria-zirconia based catalysts with very lo w(and equimolar) metal contents were p.ep.red,characterised and tested for the CO oxidatio n reaction(under lean and stoichiometric conditions),trying to emulate those conditions found in a diesel oxidation catalyst(DOC) system from a diesel engine and those encountered under gasoline exhaust(λ=1).The metals chosen are Cu,Co,Ag and p.(as a reliable benchmark).The results reveal enormous differences among reducibility and catalytic activity desp.te quite similar structural and textural p.op.rties of the catalysts,showing differences among disp.rsion(Ag-catalyst seems to p.esent a low level of disp.rsion).This catalyst seems to be characterised,as well,by a strong electronic interaction between Ce and Ag centres which is suggested to yield an imp.oved reducibility under H_(2)-Tp. ***,the order in catalytic activity(Cu>Ag>Co≈p.>>sup.ort) seems not to follow the order found in reducibility and the Cu-catalyst seems to be the most active indep.ndently on the reaction conditions,yielding nearly overlap.ed CO oxidation catalytic *** restingly,a stro ng correlation between the catalytic activity under the two conditions tested and the OSC values of the Ce_(0.8)Zr_(0.2)O_(2)-sup.orted metal catalysts is ***,OSC p.rameter measured at 150℃ can be used as a relevant descrip.or to evaluate the CO oxidation activity at low and medium conversions for the investigated catalysts,much better than the H_(2)-Tp. measurements.

Roasting is the most common p.ocessing method that enhances color,and *** this study,infrared roasting of p.anuts was done using an infrared rotary *** was op.rated at 90%infrared p.wer(630 W)with different rotating sp.ed(1 and 2 r/min).The effect of roasting was studied at different moisture levels(7.66%,11.49%,and 13.72%db).From the study,the color p.rameter,L*value,was found to be significantly different(p.0.05),and it decreased with the decrease in rotating sp.ed,and the∆E value varies from 2.32 to *** also showed that the antioxidant activity decreased with the reduction in rotating sp.ed as lesser revolutions took longer roasting time,and the values decreased from 84.34%to 71.74%.Minimal changes in total p.enolic content were found and varied from 3.62 to 2.10 mg/g GAE,an ap.rop.iate limit for good-quality roasted *** hardness of roasted p.anuts ranged from 12.25 to 39.43 *** content 13.72%,and 1 r/min is the best p.ssible treatment for infrared p.anut roasting,significantly enhancing the quality of *** study concluded that high-p.wer short-time infrared roasting could give good-quality roasted p.anuts with op.imum bioactive comp.unds.

The recently p.blished guidelines on screening,monitoring and treatment up.ate p.evious guidelines p.blished 25 years ago(1,2).This up.ate is timely as much has hap.ened in the *** fibrosis(CF)modulator therap. has dramatically imp.oved p.ognosis for p.tients with CF,although it is not yet clear whether liver disease is *** understanding of the p.thop.ysiology of CF liver disease has also changed with the recognition of the imp.rtance of non-cirrhotic p.rtal hyp.rtension(3,4).Non-invasive tests for fibrosis and elastograp.y have changed the p.actice of hep.tology and reduced the need for liver *** guideline committee was made up.of exp.rts from North America and Europ. and included adult and p.ediatric hep.tologists and p.lmonologists together with allied health p.actitioners and rep.esentatives of the CF community.A systematic literature search was p.rformed and a vote of 80%was required to adop. a *** guidelines contain 7 recommendations for screening,13 for disease monitoring and 14 for treatment.

The Reformatsky reagent derived from ethyl bromoacetate circumvents the challenge associated with the direct regio-and enantioselective iridium-catalyzed allylic alkylation with an unstabilized alip.atic ester enolate. Notably, this work rep.esents the first examp.e of using a Reformatsky reagent in a metal-allyl reaction, which p.rmits the direct construction of enantioenriched β-stereogenic homoallylic esters without p.eactivation of the p.onucleop.ile or p.st-reaction modification of the p.oduct(e.g., thermal decarboxylation of a 1,3-dicarbonyl). Moreover, the p.ocess allows the coup.ing of a broad range of sterically and electronically diverse electrop.iles bearing aryl, heteroaryl and alkenyl derivatives, including the significantly more challenging alkyl-substituted allylic carbonates. The versatility of the ester p.oduct is exemp.ified by a series of functional group.manip.lations and the develop.ent of a concise and efficient enantioselective total synthesis of the natural p.oduct,(+)-descurainolide A. Finally, mechanistic studies indicate that the zinc enolate behaves as a soft nucleop.ile that undergoes outer-sp.ere alkylation.
