Fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy （FLIM） has gained popularity as a sensitive technique to monitor the functional/conformational states of reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide （NADH）, one of the main compounds of oxidative phosphorylation. In this letter, we apply the technique to characterize the metabolic changes in mouse embryonic fibroblast 3T3 cells upon bacterial infection. A gradual shortening of the decaying time constants in both the short and the long lifetime components of NADH＇s autofluorescence is detected. The ratio of the short and the long lifetime components＇ relative contributions, however, shows a rapid increase, indicating the rise of cellular metabolic activity over the course of infection.

A sequence of laboratory experiments using solitary waves was performed to model the effect of leading form of three types of tsunamis（a bore,an impinging wave and an overtopping wave）on a seawall on a sloping *** wave evolution process,impinging pressure along the seawall surface,total overtopping discharge behind the seawall and the maximum run-up height on the rear slope were measured and *** data were employed to re-examine relevant empirical formulae in the *** effect of the presence of the seawall in reducing maximum run-up height using the present setup was briefly *** present data can be used for calibrating numerical and mathematical models.

多智能体强化学习(Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning,MARL)在群体控制领域中被广泛应用,但由于单个智能体的马尔可夫决策模型被破坏,现有的MARL算法难以学习到最优策略,且训练中智能体的随机性会导致策略不稳定.本文从状态空间到行为空间的映射出发,研究同构多智能体系统的耦合转换,以提高策略的先进性及稳定性.首先,我们调查了同构智能体行为空间的重组,打破智能体与策略对应的固定思维,通过构建抽象智能体将智能体之间的耦合转换为不同智能体行为空间同一维度的耦合,以提高策略网络的训练效率和稳定.随后,在重组策略映射的基础上,我们从序列决策的角度出发,为抽象智能体的策略网络和评估网络分别设计自注意力模块,编码并稀疏化智能体的状态信息.重组后的状态信息经过自注意力编码后,能显示地解释智能体的决策行为.本文在三个常用的多智能体任务上对所提出方法的有效性进行了全面的验证和分析,实验结果表明,在集中奖励的情况下,本文所提出的方法能够学到比基线方法更为先进的策略,平均回报提高了20%,且训练过程与训练结果的稳定性提高了50%以上.多个对应的消融实验也分别验证了抽象智能体与自注意力模块的有效性,进一步为我们的结论提供支持.

AIM: To investigate whether vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and basic fibroblastic growth factor (bFGF) are associated wibh spider angiomas in patients wibh liver cirrhosis. METHODS: Eighty-six patients with liver cirrhosis were enrolled and the number and size of the spider angiomas were recorded. Fifty-three healthy subjects were selected as controls. Plasma levels of VEGF and bFGF were measured in both the cirrhotics and the controls. RESULTS: Plasma VEGF and bFGF were increased in cirrhotics compared with controls (122±13 vs. 71±11 pg/mL, P=0.003 for VEGF; 5.1±0.5 vs. 3.4±0.5 pg/mL, P=0.022 for bFGF). In cirrhotics, plasma VEGF and bFGF were also higher in patients with spider angiomas compared with patients without spider angiomas (185±28 vs. 90±10 pg/mL, P=-0.003 for VEGF; 6.8±1.0 vs. 4.1±0.5 pg/mL, P=0.017 for bFGF). Multivariate logistic regression showed that young age and increased plasma levels of VEGF and bFGF were the most significant predictors for the presence of spider angiomas in cirrhotic patients (odds ratio [OR]=6.64, 95% confidence interval[CI]=2.02-21.79, P=0.002; OR=4.35, 95% CI=1.35-14.01,P=0.014; OR=5.66, 95% CI=1.72-18.63, P=0.004, respectively). CONCLUSION: Plasma VEGF and bFGF are elevated inpatients with liver cirrhosis. Age as well as plasma levels of VEGF and bFGF are significant predictors for spider angiomas in cirrhotic patients.

Based on the feedback linearization theory,this paper demonstrates how a reinforcement learningscheme, adopted to construct an artificial neural networks(ANNs), can linearize a nonlinear system more effectivelyand cancel the effect of nonlinearity of a plant. Theproposed Reinforcement Linearization Learning System(RLLS) consists of two sub-systems: one is a long-termpolicy selector, Evaluation Predictor (EP) element, and theother is a short-term action selector, consisting ofLinearizing Control (LC) and Reinforce Predictor (RP)elements. In addition, a affine linear reference modelplays a role of the environment (instructor), whichprovides the reinforcement signal in the linearizingprocess. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposedscheme has the better performance of reliability androbustness of the controlled structure than conventionalANNs schemes.

Testosterone replacement therapy has benefits for aging men and those with hypogonadism. However, the effects of exogenous testosterone on Leydig cells are still unclear and need to be clarified. In this report, we demonstrate that testosterone supplementation can reduce oxidative damage in Leydig cells. The TM3 Leydig cell line was used as an in vitrocell model in this study. Cytoprotective effects were identified with 100-nmol l-1 testosterone treatment, but cytotoxic effects were found with ≥ 500-nmol l-1 testosterone supplementation. Significantly reduced reactive oxygen species （ROS） generation, lipid peroxide contents and hypoxia induction factor （HIF）-lα stabilization and activation were found with lO0-nmol 1-1 testosterone treatment. There was a 1.72-fold increase in ROS generation in the 500-nmol l-1 compared to the lO0-nmol l-1 testosterone treatment. A 1.58-fold increase in steroidogenic acute regulatory protein （STAR） expression was found in 50-nmol l-1 testosterone-treated cells （P〈0.01）. Chemically induced hypoxia was attenuated by testosterone supplementation. Leydig cells treated with low-dose testosterone supplementation showed cytoprotection by decreasing ROS and lipid peroxides, increasing StAR expression and relieving hypoxia stress as demonstrated by HIF-1α stabilization. Increased oxidative damage was found with ≥ 500-nmol l-1 testosterone manipulation. The mechanism governing the differential dose effects of testosterone on Leydig cells needs further investigation in order to shed light on testosterone replacement therapy.

局限空间中水的相变与动态学研究

在本篇论文中，主要讨论水分子在局限空间中的运动及相变行为，所使用的方法为双量子过滤核磁共振光谱及T1反转回覆光谱，体系为利用MCM-41吸附不同量的重水．本研究中所使用的这两种光谱方法各有其独特之处，其中双量子过滤核磁共振光谱是利用被吸附的重水分子中氘核残余四极作用力所产生双量子讯号进行侦测，因此是特别针对表面吸附的水分子进行观测，而T1反转回覆光谱则是侦测整体孔洞内水分子的行为，借由两种光谱的谱线分析相互比对，得到在MCM-41内各层水分子对温度变化的完整动态学行为．在描述表面水分子运动上，采用的是修改过的锥体模型，主要将水分子分成相对其文寸称轴的摇摆运动及旋转运动，在研究中发现，表面水分子是被MCM-41表面单独的SiOH所吸附，比例上为一个水分子对一个SiOH，而表面分子的运动会受到第二层水分子的形成与否所影响，一但第二层水分子的量够多时，其平移扩散运动会借由碰撞影响表面水分子的摇摆运动，而且在孔洞中属于非表面吸附的水分子，在随温度变化至240～250K之间时会有相变发生，相变的温度则会随水量充填在MCM-41内的多寡而改变，当水分子越多时，因为彼此间空间有限，使得氢键网路结构与一般正常在大量水分子体系的结构有些相异，因此使得相变温度会随之下降．除此之外，本研究中亦提出不同的双量子过滤核磁共振脉冲序列以及不同的模型来讨论．

Numerical evaluation of buckling behavior in space structure considering geometrical parameters with joint rigidity

The buckling behavior of single layer space structure is very sensitive. The joint rigidity, moreover, is one of the main factors of stability which may determine the entire failure behavior. Thus, the reasonable stiffness of joint system, which is neither total pin assumption nor perfect fix condition, is very important to apply to the real single layer space one. Therefore, the purpose of this work was to investigate the buckling behavior of single layer space structure, using the development of the upgraded stiffness matrix for the joint rigidity. To derive tangential stiffness matrix, a displacement function was assumed using translational and rotational displacement at the node. The geometrical nonlinear analysis was simulated not only with perfect model but also with imperfect one. As a result, the one and two free nodal numerical models were investigated using derived stiffness matrix. It was figured out that the buckling load increases in proportion to joint rigidity with rise-span ratio. The stability of numerical model is very sensitive with the initial imperfection, responding of bifurcation in the structure.
