Today with certainty, the petroleum industry is fostering sanguinely the fields’ development programs for the optimization of reservoir characterization through worth-full appliances of computer analysis techniques. The time element is of prime importance for optimistic petroleum development projects. Therefore, the frontline of “Real-time Analysis” is added into the applications of computer solving techniques for achieving and sk.tching up the real-time cost effectiveness in analyzing field development programs. It focuses on the phases of real-time well test data acquisition system, real-time secure access to the well test data either on field or in office and real-time data interpretation unit. This interface will yield the productive results for the field of reservoir’s pressure transient analysis and wells’ systems analysis by following the up-to-date preferred, accurate and effective well test analytical principles with modern real-time computer applications and techniques. It also lays emphasis for the comfort and reliability of data in creating best interpersonal work.ng modes within a reputable and esteemed petroleum development organization.

Design and Evaluation of Dadu Canal Lining for Sustainable Water Saving

Pak.stan livelihood depends on agriculture and so for this on irrigation system. The irrigation system in Sindh province depends on three barrages. The canals off tak.ng from these three barrages irrigate 5.5 million hectares of agriculture land. Suk.ur Barrage, which is the oldest one, irrigates more than 2.0 million hectares of land. The Dadu Canal off tak.ng from Suk.ur barrage is an earthen canal. A huge amount of irrigation water is lost from the canal in the form of seepage from bank. and bed. It is estimated that 40 to 50 per cent of water is lost between the canal head work. to the farm-gate. The seepage from the canal creates twin problems of salinity and water logging consequently a large agriculture land has gone out of use, and this process is continued particularly in Sindh. Lining of Canals is considered an effective solution to this problem. But lining of canals in Sindh is a great issue as canals will need to be closed long enough to deprive the farmers at least one crop season and the farmers are unable to pay this price for canal. Therefore, in this study, the Dadu Canal is proposed to be redesigned as an adjacent lined canal which involves design of cross section for various lining options at locations where changes in the hydraulic conditions occur at cross regulators and fall structures. The proposed lining is preferred to be plain cement concrete lining which is selected after investigating local conditions. Quantity and cost estimation at selected RDs (Reduced Distance) proved feasible and significant in long term functioning of Dadu Canal.

Real-Time Modelling and Optimisation for Water and Energy Efficient Surface Irrigation

The viability and sustainability of crop production is currently threatened by increasing water scarcity. Water scarcity problems can be addressed through improved water productivity and the options usually presumed in this context are efficient water use and conversion of surface irrigation to pressurised systems. By replacing furrow irrigation with drip or centre pivot systems, the water efficiency can be improved by up to 30% to 45%. However, the installation and application of pumps and pipes, and the associated fuels needed for these alternatives increase energy consumption. A balance between the improvement in water use and the potential increase in energy consumption is required. When surface water is used, pressurised irrigation systems increase energy consumption substantially, by between 65% to 75%, and produce greenhouse gas emissions around 1.75 times higher than that of gravity based irrigation systems so their use should be carefully planned k.eping in view adverse impact of carbon emissions on the environment and threat of increasing energy prices. With gravity-fed surface irrigation methods, the energy consumption is assumed to be negligible. This study has shown that a novel real-time infiltration model REIP has enabled implementation of real-time optimisation and gravity fed surface irrigation with real-time optimisation has potential to bring significant improvements in irrigation performance along with substantial water savings of 2.92 ML/ha which is equivalent to that given by pressurised systems. The real-time optimisation and control thus offers a modern, environment friendly and water efficient system with close to zero increase in energy consumption and minimal greenhouse gas emissions.

Design of a hybrid magnetomotive force electromechanical valve actuator

We propose a novel axis-symmetric modified hybrid permanent magnet(PM)/electromagnet(EM) magnetomotive force actuator for a variable valve timing camless engine. The design provides a large magnetic force with low energy consumption, low coil inductance, PM demagnetization isolation, and improved transient response. Simulation and experimental results confirm forces of about 200 N(in the presence of coil current) at the equilibrium position and 500 N(in the absence of coil current) at the armature seat. We compared our proposed design with a double solenoid valve actuator(DSVA). The finite element method(FEM) designs of the DSVA and our proposed valve actuator were validated by experiments performed on manufactured prototypes.

Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in the world *** of heart disease is a prominent topic in the clinical data *** increase patient survival rates,early diagnosis of heart disease is an important field of research in the medical *** are many studies on the prediction of heart disease,but limited work.is done on the selection of *** selection of features is one of the best techniques for the diagnosis of heart *** this research paper,we find optimal features using the brute-force algorithm,and machine learning techniques are used to improve the accuracy of heart disease *** performance evaluation,accuracy,sensitivity,and specificity are used with split and cross-validation *** results of the proposed technique are evaluated in three different heart disease datasets with a different number of records,and the proposed technique is found to have superior *** selection of optimized features generated by the brute force algorithm is used as input to machine learning algorithms such as Support Vector Machine(SVM),Random Forest(RF),k.Nearest Neighbor(k.N),and Naive Bayes(NB).The proposed technique achieved 97%accuracy with Naive Bayes through split validation and 95%accuracy with Random Forest through *** Bayes and Random Forest are found to outperform other classification approaches when accurately *** results of the proposed technique are compared with the results of the existing study,and the results of the proposed technique are found to be better than other ***,our proposed approach plays an important role in the selection of important features and the automatic detection of heart disease.

The development of new materials,having exceptional properties in comparison to existing materials is highly required for bringing advancement in electronic and optoelectronic *** this fact,we investigated structural,electronic,and optical properties of zincblende GaN doped with selected Zn concentrations(6.25%,12.50%,and 18.70%),using the first-principle calculations based on density functional theory with GGA+*** conducted the entire study using the WIEN2k.*** this study,we calculated various significant parametric quantities such as cohesive energies,formation energies,bulk.moduli,and lattice constants along with the study of optical and electronic properties by substituting Ga atoms with Zn atoms in 1×2×2 *** structural stability is confirmed by studying the phonon dispersion curves which suggest that Zn:GaN material is stable against the 6.25%and 18.70%Zn concentrations while for 12.50%,it shows *** Hubbard values U=0,2,4,6 eV were added to GGA and the electronic properties were improved with the U=6 *** absorption was blue shifted while the refractive index and dielectric constant were increased with increasing the Zn *** properties are enhanced due to the prime contribution of cations(Zn)3ri *** optical and electronic properties are further discussed in detail in the entire study.

Effects of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi on Metals Uptak., Physiological and Biochemical Response of <i>Medicago Sativa</i>L. with Increasing Zn and Cd Concentrations in Soil

The effect of mycorrhizal symbiosis on metal accumulation and plant tolerance are not commonly studied in medicinal plants under metal stress. The objective of this study was to assess the impact of mycorrhiza on alfalfa plants with the increase of Zn and Cd toxicity. The experiment was conducted under controlled laboratory conditions. Zinc (Zn) and cadmium (Cd) uptak., some biochemical and physiological parameters were studied in eight-week.old alfalfa plants in response to inoculation or not with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and with the increase of Zn (0, 100, 300, 900 mg·k.-1) and Cd concentrations (0, 100, 300, 600 mg·k.-1) in soil. The results showed that mycorrhizal (M) plants exhibited tolerance to Zn and Cd up to 300 mg·k.-1 in comparison to non-mycorrhizal (NM) plants which exhibited a significant growth reduction at the same soil Zn and Cd level. M inoculation reduced the Zn and Cd accumulation in shoot and showed higher Zn and Cd contents in roots which showed a different Zn and Cd distribution in AMF associated or non-associated plants. Mycorrhizal plants increased phosphorus (P) contents at all Zn and Cd concentrations except the highest (600 and 900 mg·k.-1) leading significant alterations in biochemical contents such as proline, antioxidant enzymes in leaves and also in nutrients (N, P, k. Cu, Ni, Fe, Mn). Zn and cadmium toxicity cause to increase the proline content in shoot of NM plants, however, proline contents are lower in M plants. Results confirmed that AMF protected alfalfa plants against Zn and Cd toxicity. Mycorrhizal colonization was able to form an efficient symbiosis with alfalfa plants in moderately contaminated Zn and Cd soils (300 mg·k.-1) and play an important role in food quality and safety.
