Ultra-high sensitivity fiber optic microphone with corrugated graphene-oxide diaphragm for voice recognition

To avoid interference from unexpected background noises and obtain high fidelity voice signal,acoustic sensors with high sensitivity,flat frequency response,and high signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)are urgently needed for voice ***(GO)has received extensive attention due to its advantages of controllable thickness and high fracture ***,low mechanical sensitivity(SM)introduced by undesirable initial stress limits the performance of GO material in the field of voice *** alleviate the aforementioned issue,GO diaphragm with annular corrugations is *** means of the reusable copper mold machined by picosecond laser,the fabrication and transfer of corrugated GO diaphragm are realized,thus achieving a Fabry–Perot(F–P)acoustic *** from the structural advantage of the corrugated GO diaphragm,our F–P acoustic sensor exhibits high S_(M)(43.70 nm/Pa@17 kHz),flat frequency response(−3.2 to 3.7 dB within 300–3500 Hz),and high SNR(76.66 dB@1 kHz).In addition,further acoustic measurements also demonstrate other merits,including an excellent frequency detection resolution(0.01 Hz)and high time stability(output relative variation less than 6.7% for 90 min).Given the merits presented before,the fabricated F–P acoustic sensor with corrugated GO diaphragm can serve as a high-fidelity platform for acoustic detection and voice *** conjunction with the deep residual learning framework,high recognition accuracy of 98.4%is achieved by training and testing the data recorded by the fabricated F–P acoustic sensor.

Improved piezoelectric and luminescent properties in Sm-modified Bi_(0.5)Na_(0.5)TiO_(3)-BaTiO_(3) multifunctional ceramics

The 0.93(Na_(0.5)Bi_(0.5))_(1–x)Sm_(x)TiO_(3)-0.07BaTiO_(3) multifunctional ceramics were prepared by solid-phase reaction *** phase structure,microstructure,electrical and photoluminescent properties were systematically *** increasing x,the ceramics undergoes the phase transition from rhombohedral to tetragonal with some rhombohedral distortion,along with a reduced grain size and increased relative *** the other hand,the Sm3+doping enhances the electric-field driven reversible phase transition and domain size,and reduces the domain walls,thereby contributing to improved piezoelectricity and decreased depolarization temperature(T_(d))from 91℃ to 40℃.Excellent piezoelectric properties of d_(33)=213 pC/N and kp=29.9% are achieved in the x=0.010 *** excitation(407 nm),the Sm^(3+)-doped ceramic exhibits bright reddish-orange fluorescence at 564,599,646 nm and 710 nm.A polarization-induced enhancement of photoluminescence is obtained in BNBT-_(x)Sm ceramics with an improved relative intensity of emission band at 646 *** results indicate that Sm^(3+)-doped BNBT ceramics show great potential in electro-optic integration and coupling device applications.

Subnanometric bimetallic Pt-Pd clusters in zeolites for efficient hydrogen production and selective tandem hydrogenation of nitroarenes

The solvolysis of ammonia borane(AB)and the hydrogenation of nitroarenes represent significant reactions for hydrogen generation and value-added chemical *** strategic engineering of the catalysts is imperative for surmounting obstacles associated with their stability and catalytic *** this work,subnanometric bimetallic Pt–Pd clusters were encapsulated within silicalite-1(S-1)zeolites through a ligand-protected in-situ hydrothermal synthesis *** synergetic effect of bimetallic composition and zeolite confinement markedly enhances the catalytic performance of representative Pt_(0.5)Pd_(0.5)@S-1-H catalyst,affording exceptional turnover frequency(TOF)values of 1,043 and 573 mol_(H_(2))mol_(metal)^(-1)min^(-1)for AB hydrolysis and methanolysis at ambient conditions,respectively,surpassing most of the state-of-the-art Pt-based *** and isotopic experiments reveal that the bimetallic catalytic system remarkably boosts the O-H cleavage of water,thereby facilitating the H_(2) production from AB ***,a conspicuous synergistic effect is demonstrated in the shape-selective tandem hydrogenation of nitroarenes,with the bimetallic catalyst facilitating both AB hydrolysis and nitroarene hydrogenation,giving a high TOF value of 1,260 h^(-1)under atmospheric *** study not only demonstrates the effectiveness of bimetallic nanocatalysts encapsulated in zeolites for hydrogen production from chemical hydrogen storage materials,but also paves the way for the design of catalysts with multifunctional active sites capable of synergistically promoting tandem catalytic processes.

Compound events of heatwave and dust storm in the Taklamakan Desert

Taklamakan Desert(TD)has been characterized by numerous heatwaves and dust storms,leading to negative effects on societies and ecosystems at regional and global ***,the association between heatwaves and dust storms is poorly *** this study,we describe the association between heatwaves and dust events and propose a mechanism for such compound events in the *** results show that,from 1993 to 2022,the frequency and intensity of heatwaves in the TD have increased at a rate of 0.21 days year^(-1)and 0.02℃ year^(-1),*** than 40% of heatwaves existed with dust events,which significantly lagged behind ***,the higher the air temperature,the hotter and drier the soil,leading to more dust emissions in the *** high-occurrence heatwave years,a large-scale wave train of“cyclone-anticyclone-cyclone”in the northwest-southeast direction was found,with the anticyclone of which hovered over the TD *** anomalous anticyclones favored the formation and maintenance of heatwaves,and subsequent anomalous cyclones in the wave train triggered strong dust events followed by *** climate warming,the compound events of heatwave and dust storm are becoming bigger hazards threatening the socioeconomic and ecological security in the TD,the profound study of which is critical to understanding regional extreme responses.

Metal-nanocluster materials have gradually become a promising electrode candidate for supercapaci-tor *** high-efficient and rational architecture of these metal-nanocluster electrode mate-rials with satisfied supercapacitive performance are full of ***,Fe-nanocluster anchored porous carbon(FAPC)nanosheets were constructed through a facile and low-cost impregnation-activation *** characterization methods documented that FAPC nanosheets possessed a mesopore-dominated structure with large surface area and abundant Fe-N4 active sites,which are crucial for su-percapacitive energy *** optimal FAPC electrode exhibited a high specific capacitance of 378 F/g at a specific current of 1 A/g and an excellent rate capability(271 F/g at 10 A/g),which are comparable or even superior to that of most reported carbon ***,the FAPC-based device achieved a desired specific energy of 14.8 Wh/kg at a specific power of 700 W/*** work opens a new avenue to design metal-nanocluster materials for high-performance biomass waste-based supercapacitors.

Supertetragonal BaZrS_(3):A promising perovskite sulphide with giant ferroelectricity and low band gap

Over the past century,ferroelectricity has offered exciting opportunities for fundamental research and device ***,most of the discovered excellent ferroelectrics are oxide materials with large band gaps,limiting their potential for optoelectronics *** using first-principles calculations we identify a new narrow-gap ferroelectric beyond oxides,i.e.,ferroelectric perovskite sulphide BaZrS_(3).Under large compressive strains,BaZrS_(3)can be stabilized into a unique supertetragonal phase with an extraordinary polarization of 67.16μC/cm^(2),which is even stronger than that of conventional oxide ***,the supertetragonal BaZrS_(3)exhibits a direct narrow band gap of 1.2 eV and excellent electronic *** on the chemical bonding analysis,we attribute the formation of supertetragonal phase to charge re-ordering in which theπbond overlap along the long〈Zr-S〉bond completely vanishes and the antibonding states of theσbond appear below the Fermi *** work provides a conceptual strategy for designing new ferroelectrics for electronic and photovoltaic applications.

Shear-thinning Catechol-modified Chitosan Hydrogel Loaded with Silver Nanoparticles for Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection

Shear-thinning hydrogels have emerged for endoscopic submucosal dissection,while wound intervention after surgery has rarely been ***,a catechol-modified chitosa n hydrogel with shear-thinning property was developed for simultaneously facilitating endoscopic submucosal dissection and postoperative wound *** from the shear-thinning and self-healing characteristics,the asprepared hydrogel showed easily endoscopic *** also performed very well as submucosal cushion,which could remain above 70%after injection for 120 min in ex vivo porcine large intestine *** fact,the cushion height of normal saline dramatically decreased to 46%of the initial height at 30 *** nanoparticles encapsulated into the network endowed the hydrogel with almost reached 100%antibacterial effect against *** and *** hemolysis ratio of the hydrogel was calculated to be as low as 0.8%.Combined with good hemocompatibility and cytocompatibility,the as-prepared hydrogel displayed much higher in vivo wound closu re and healing efficacy than normal *** results demonstrated the superiority of the shear-thinning chitosan hydrogel in facilitating clinical endoscopic submucosal dissection surgery.
